Just visiting the area for work and decided to give this a try. Glad I did, was really good, both the pasta I had and the pizza was delicious. I went with something a little different and got the Spicy Buffalo Ranch sauce as the pizza base and it really hit. Only negative was that the Baked Ziti w/ Meatballs only came with two little meatballs which sucked because the pasta was great and the two meatballs were very good. Damn, what happened guys? I leave Dallas for 7+ years and everything goes down the drain. I always came through and ordered a spaghetti and meatballs along with a salad. While the familiar flavors are there, the presentation and texture is way off. I'm sad cause this place was always by go-to for a quick fix. Your spaghetti sauce runs faster than my nose when I was sick back in January. The meatball had hints of a familiar flavor but was quickly mislead as I worked my way to the center. New York Pizza used to be solid. I even showed my friend from NY a picture of my dish and she said they should be ashamed of the name and change it immediately. I asked for a Stromboli and it's similar to a calzone but made different as the product itself is like a turnover. I prefer that and couldn't help myself in eyeing a slice of ricotta and tomato piZza slice. The order came fast and piping hot. I got home and started eating and I hate to admit, but It was FANTASTIC!! The slice was crispy and you could hear the crunch when you fold it in half. This is one of a few restaurants that I will visit. I just wanted protein. I ordered salmon and four shrimp a la carte. I ate the four shrimp, which appeared cooked. I ate about 3/4 of the salmon, when I noticed that the coloring looked "off.". Because the restaurant lighting is so low, I had to use my cell phone to see more clearly. The salmon appeared to be slightly undercooked. I brought it to the attention of one of the restaurant staff who offered to prepare another one for me. I always say "no" to such offers out of principle. I have had several other meals here that were very good: lobster ravioli, pizza, and even the steak. I've come twice now in the last 2 weeks. I'm there at an off-peak time, and there usually aren't many patrons. They've got a nice dining area inside, and have a covered/enclosed outdoor seating area. I imagine that after it gets a little warmer, they'll open up the sides. I like to sit at the bar, which seats about 10. There are a couple of TVs that have had sports on while I was there. About 8 beers on tap, some bottled, and a fair selection of spirits. I've ordered a calzone both times, and seriously, it rivals anything I've had elsewhere, including NY. Fan-freaking-tastic. Just try this place out for yourself. We enjoy the pizza - we typically get a meat lovers pizza with garlic and it's good! Not great.. but good! We typically order take out here. I've never tried ordering for delivery so I can't speak to that. Now, read closely- try the lobster ravioli. Just try it! It's amazing, I only wish they gave you more sauce but it's good and you won't want to share. My family is all about using coupons for pizza so we get the normal dominos papa johns etc. I wanted something new for game day so I called this place up and 20 mins later I went to pick up my piping hot pizza! Having just moved to the area from Dallas, we needed a new pizza joint and with this being a block from our apartment, we figured why not? We are originally from New Jersey, and have pretty high standards on pizza. We decided to try out a pretty simple pie and also chose to order the baked ziti. The pizza, was disappointing. I don't know that I would order it again. Maybe it was a bad night? But the bread part was not too great. Also, VERY expensive for a pizza. This is NOT NYC. However, the baked ziti.... OMG WHAT A STAR. The sauce, the portion, it even came with 2 meatballs, a roll AND A SALAD TOO for 10.99. That is a total steal!!! We could have easily just have shared that with nothing else. We ate the ziti so quickly we didn't even take a photo. That is how great it was. We decided to try this place again last weekend to see how consistent it was from the weekend before and try some new items. This time we got a calzone with sausage in it it and an eggplant parm sandwich. The calzone was pretty decent, a little greasy but tasty. The eggplant parm, again okay, but my fiance said maybe he would skip it another time. I asked the gentleman who worked there what was on their philly cheesesteak and to my disappointment, he said peppers, onion, mushroom and SAUCE. WHAT?!?! No. just. no. We wont be trying that sadly. However, this place is very clean, has slices that are premade which can be ordered in a pinch (and maybe look a little more appetizing than the pizza we got) and their pasta is bangin, bottom line. When I went in we saw a huge spread of food on a cafeteria style bar. Although there are trays available, you don't need one if you're getting pizza. We discovered that after ordering, but luckily the waiter was prepared and took it from us pretty quickly. I got a pepperoni calzone which was DELICIOUS and obviously home made. My friends and I were so intent on eating the yummy pizza we barely talked all lunch. However with that said today I came in to get some pizza during the coronavirus pandemic and the staff were not wearing gloves handling food and i saw him touch my pizza with his bare hand. A friend of one of the cooks then came in to say hello and they bumped elbows in lieu of a handshake and then he went back to preparing food without washing.
