This is my wife's go to place for monster salads. We always order one, and share and likely still have leftovers. It is all good. I have so much trouble deciding every time! The soups are rich and filling - lobster bisque, loaded baked potato, and my new favorite, broccoli cheese! We've eaten at most in Central Arkansas but the Hot Springs location has a few issues. The inside temp was freezing which forced us outside to the patio to which not a single table had umbrellas, so we ate outside under the sun and weather dirty tables. Wanted a salad but all they have is these fancy dressings. If they would have had 1000 island dressing, I would have got one but nope, they lost another sale. All in all we love Newks. read more

Artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, Feta cheese, mozzarella, grilled chicken, Roma tomatoes, red onions and pepperoncini peppers. You can order 1/2 salad and soup. Newk's is one of our absolute favorite lunch stops in our hometown, and this one didn't disappoint. It was so much like the one we frequent that our 4-year old said, "Hey, we've been here before!" Delicious, fast, and so clean and well kept. So many wonderful, delicious choices. A Newk's Q with the crab soup of the day is my personal favorite. Also, those little peanut butter chocolate covered rice krispie things are really good. Looked over options for the area I was in. Chicken salad sounded perfect. Ran over to Newk's and placed my order. Chicken salad was good size served on warm bread. The chicken was fresh and plentiful however there was little to no grapes or pecans. As far as I am concerned that is what makes good chicken salad and drew me to the sand which. The fact it came on warm bread did not thrill me and I don't believe the menu states that's. I would have not ordered it if I knew that. Tippon country caviar was good. I also ordered a side of mac n cheese which was around $4.50 and was hardly worth it. The mac n cheese itself was great but the portion was so small for $4.50 I couldn't believe it. Located in a strip shopping center near the interstate is the local chain restaurant. Two ways to go, eat in or to go. Separate registers ans booth and table seats. Self service on drinks, coke products and they serve sweet and un sweet tea. Tried the tea and I prefer others. Had the BBQ pizza and it was served in a aluminum plate. Food flavor but the chicken was a little overcooked. That is what I dinged them in points. Nice background music and they offer self service on bread sticks and some other stuff. Good fast service on a Monday evening. Small area for outdoor seating. Handicap ramps ans parking. read more

One of my favorite if the local chain restaurants. Food is consistent & always good. They have a wide range of options and plenty of selection! Their bread is fantastic!!! Warm friendly place, however we had to wait for someone to help us. I had the shrimp poy boy sandwich with some black Eyed Pea salad and a drink. My husband had a steak sandwich and coleslaw and a drink. That all came out to 23 bucks and some change, that wasn't bad at all. We sat down and with minutes are food came. I tryed the black Eyed Peas and I didn't like them they needed more spice. My shrimp was huge, but some of them were not deveined all the way I took care of that. My husband's sandwich was great as well as his coleslaw. As we were sitting there eating I noticed a sign for 12 layered cake. Now I never get dessert, but this time I threw caution to the wine and ordered one to go. I ordered a Carmel 12 layered cake. Took me an hour to eat it because it was so sweet. The glaze wasn't mixed very well, because you could still get the grit from the sugar. However it was one of those cakes where you just can't stop eating. Will be going back. read more

First visit to Newks was for dessert and coffee. We had a group of 5 and split the four different flavors of cakes they had late on a Sunday night. All were good but we decided the strawberry was best, just beating out the caramel cake. The coffee was ok but not above the average. Second visit was for lunch. Newks was very busy but the staff was very efficient. The Margherita pizza was good but needed more fresh basil. The Shrimp Po'boy was very good made with boiled versus fried shrimp. The Ultimate Crab soup was also very good with a nice spicy flavor. Over all Newks is a good place for reasonably priced food served in a casual and quick atmosphere. read more

I love this food, the service, the people who work there! I always get the grilled cheese which is served on a roll that is made on premises and served with potato chips. That is my favorite meal. My husband eats the pizzas and loves the summer salad which should be coming again soon. (They also have soup and other sandwiches.) However, the music they play there now is Las Vegas style show tunes! I swear every day that I won't go back there, because of the music, but I do at least 3-4 times every week! My sandwich and drink is less than $10. Both of us eat for just a little over $20. I think it is a bargain for the food that is so good! read more
