I was in Florida for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. So, in the first days of January a few lady friends of mine and myself headed to Newk's for lunch. We were immediately greeted when we entered by a young lady who explained the extensive menu. She also spent a moment talking to my friend Lyn's mom. Ordering was a breeze. The staff were very knowledgeable about specials and what comes with what. We placed our orders, were given plastic glasses and we went to get our drinks.We were also given a number which we attached to a tall metal stick like thingie (that's a highly technical professional restaurant term). That way, the staff could easily find you and give you your order.. There is a festive looking bread stick and condiments bar I wish I'd taken a photo of, but I see that another reviewer did that. Once at our table with our drinks, our meals were brought out to us in a timely fashion. I actually like Newk's better than Panera. I eat low carb and it seemed easier to eat that way here than at Panera. The food was fresh and tasty. read more

Not a bad little sandwich shop with a variety of items. Pizza, subs, soups, and salads. Very clean and modern spot, and service has always been really good. As others have said the drinks are huge and come in reusable cups. We have like 3 or 4 of them in our house that we constantly use over again. I've had a couple of their subs, one of their pizzas, pasta salad, and soup. Have never been disappointed with their food. Very friendly service and an awesome menu selection. The restaurant was clean and had a neat layout. The person helping me recommended the Newk Q. I got that and a half Caesar salad. You order, pay, and get a number to take to your table and they will bring your food out (took about 8 minutes). They have big hard plastic cups for drinks which is probably cool the first time coming here but they should give a paper cup option for those that regular this place (tons of big plastic cups in the trash). Nice condiments bar with sour pickles, hot peppers, Parmesan cheese, packages of breadsticks and croutons. The half Caesar was tasty and had a good amount of dressing without being overwhelming but the croutons on it were very soggy. The Newk Q sandwich looked awesome when it came out. The chicken and bacon and cheese and toasty bread were all great. The "special white BBQ sauce" though was very overpowering. There was way too much of it dripping out of the sandwich and it took away flavor from the sandwich. I've had plenty of different white BBQ sauces before but this one I hate to say ranks pretty low. I wish I knew it would be so strong and I would have asked for it on the side. I'm still giving 4 stars because this place has a great vibe and so e of the other menu items looked great. read more

Like other reviewers have stated, the staff is very friendly and eager to help. The first time I visited Newk's, I tried their "Newk's Pork-Q" sandwich - talk about delish!! The flavors truly popped!! The portion size was good, and the price was about average. It is worth it though!! The second time I came here, I had to try out their pizza - because it looked so good the first time I came here!! Once again, another home run!! Although I did feel for the price, it could have been either larger in portion size, or a tad bit cheaper. Either way, I loved their pizza as well!! Not as great as the best of the pizza joints like Moon River, but definitely good. Wait time for the food is very quick, and as other reviewers have noted, gotta love how they have a self-serve station set-up with lots of crackers, bread sticks, and jalapenos among many other items!!
