As soon as a firefighter, a police sergeant, and a police chief walked in, the manager (same woman) immediately jumped on the register and became much more enthusiastic and attentive, asking how they could help right away. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect every customer to be acknowledged and treated with the same level of courtesy.
