I am starting this review by saying I have never ever left a review on a restaurant before... let alone one this negative... but if I could rate this a zero star I would. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap, and it came so soggy that paper it was wrapped in was damp. then I take a bite and IT WAS RANCH not Caesar. I was so upset. it would have been inedible regardless of the dressing they used, because they DRENCHED it in so much.... the tortilla was falling apart and WET. I also ordered a chocolate caramel cake that was TERRIBLE!!! It tasted BITTER!! I will be telling everyone not to eat here. Very disappointed. I spent $35 on DoorDash and only received a $9 credit as a refund. I hope this restaurant either gets it together or CLOSES DOWN! read more

6-5-22 Thanks Yelp another great one because of you and this community! So hungry on the road and being co-pilot I find where to stop. I found this originally days before but already passed so I knew to hit it up for lunch going home. Conveniently located off the 95 exit just a little tough entering the plaza. Go all the way to the light to make your turn into the plaza from the side. Once there we park and head inside. You see the menu boards to your left and get on line to order. Than they give you a number for your table. Hubby and I both order and a Italian sandwich. I chose coleslaw for a side and him chips. We sat at a nice table outside however it was tough to find one clean. About ten minutes later they brought our food. To my surprise it came hot. Wow but it was delicious hubby loved it so much he said he could it this ever day. So we asked the guy busing tables but he knew nothing about other locations. I went on their website unfortunately none down South but they are in Georgia. The closest one to us would be Bradenton which is 4 hours on the other coast away from us sadly. Definitely would stop here again. I noticed several catering trucks in their lot I could imagine great food for a party. read more

After a Sunday at the flea market, my group of 6 was hangry! The group leader called around to a few restaurants, and there was a 1-2 hour wait at each restaurant. I suggested Newk's although I have not eaten here in years. Thankfully, Newk's did not disappoint! They offer indoor and covered outdoor seating. I prefer outdoors, but the group wanted to sit inside. A couple people ordered pizzas, the the rest of us ordered salad, soups, and/or sandwiches. Everyone was satisfied with their meals, and the group leader kept thanking me for the recommendation. If you are watching calories, a salad or the chicken tortilla soup are great options! Service was quick and friendly, and we were eating in no time. Some of our crew had to drive back home to St Augustine, so this was definitely the best choice on a casual Sunday afternoon. read more

Stopped in here for an early dinner while traveling and the food was meh. I ordered the Caesar salad and shrimp po'boy with a slice of caramel cake and a tea. My first and last time eating here. The cake was mediocre and crumbly. The po'boy was very bland, missing tons of seasoning and not a smear of remoulade in site. The served it with cocktail sauce. I heard about this place from a co-worker so I decided to try it out while in town on my way to the airport. When you walk in you get the feel of a cafe type place like Panera. You order at the counter, and then can sit-in or take-out if you desire. I never been here before, and the girl who greeted me & my dad was very helpful in how to order and different menu options. I chose the "pick two," which included a half salad & half sandwich. For my salad, I got a classic garden with my choice of dressing & the farmers market sandwich. My dad got a grilled chicken club (sans bacon) and a caesar salad. When we asked about specific seasonings of the chicken since my dad has food sensitivities, the girl was excellent and made sure to check with the cooks beforehand. We sat ourselves, and got our beverages and they brought our food to us when it was ready. For the half salad portion, it was a good size. The sandwich was very good as well, and very fresh. My only dislike was the amount of caramelized onions on it since I don't tolerate them well, but that was my fault for not checking all the ingredients on the sandwich. I just scraped them off. It also had zucchini, portobello mushroom, spinach, tomato, gouda cheese & basil pesto on an 11-grain wheat bread. Very tasty and a lot of flavor. My dad enjoyed his meal as well, however he did end up having a reaction to the food. When I followed up to ask about how they prep the chicken, they followed up with a call right away and told me how they marinate the chicken and prep. News Eatery is a great chain located only in Jax area, wish they had one closer to me! I'm so glad to be close to this restaurant because I've always wanted my hubby to try it. Wr wanted dinner but didn't want to hang out in a restaurant and we wanted curb side service. Placing my order online was so super easy and picking your pick up time is great but what really stoked me was receiving an email that allowed me to click a link to let the restaurant know I was on my way. When I arrived I pulled into curbside parking and waiting for about 10 mins-out come all the deliciousness we ordered online. The chicken salad sandwich is to die for and the mac & cheese isn't to bad either. Oh and let's not forget the strawberry cake yummy .
