Let me start by saying the food here is always good. But today I ordered the veggie pizza on cauliflower crust as usual. This time I chose to add shrimp for $3.00. As I was eating, I picked up one of the shrimp and saw it had been cut in half. After examining the remaining shrimp (about 9-10 altogether) they were all cut in half symmetrically. So apparently, they have enough time to cut shrimp down the middle rather than giving you the whole shrimp that they are charging extra for. I just think that's going overboard and trying to cut costs. Inflation is real and consumers need the most bang for their buck. Do better! read more

I don't usually frequent Newk's but after an unpleasant experience at grub burger we decided to go see them. I was greeted with a breath of fresh air over the lack of mask propaganda plastered all over the doors. We were treated with courtesy and kindness even without our masks. Our order was wrong the food looked like someone else's slipper, bread was hard and it was missing a lot of things. Our extra lettuce and how can you call it turkey and swiss when there was no swiss cheese. Wouldnt even feed this to my worse enemy. They forgot to give my daughter's drink. This was my first time ordering newks and sadly my last. I spent $40 for our dinner tonight and sadly it wasn't worth $40. We ordered a pizza and full salad as well. read more

This place is as if panera bread and california pizza kitchen had a baby. They have specialty pizzas and sandwiches, signature salads and more. I had the newk's Q (BBQ chicken sandwich with bacon) with corn chowder. It had a chipotle/ vinegar white BBQ sauce which was different and refreshing from traditional BBQ sauces and the bread was hot, crispy and moist. The sliced chicken breast was moist as well. Everything at Newk's is prepared fresh and you can really taste the difference. I feel like at panera the sandwich combinations are more appetizing but at Nuke's the sandwiches are better executed. Got there at noon and there was barely a free table, it had the atmosphere of a middle class cafeteria and was too crowded. Decent service. I gave it three stars: cons- crowded, cafeteria atmosphere and mediocre service. Pros- probably the freshest cafe-style sandwich I've ever had read more

An ok, average soup/sandwich place. Wife had a 1/2 ultimate crab and 1/2 steak sandwich. The soup was very salty. I had a pesto chicken sandwich that was overwhelmed with goat cheese. The large dining area was packed and busy at lunch. You order, get a number, and they bring your food to you. We won't be back though - too many other lunch places to try. read more

It's been a couple of years since I've been to Newk's. I've always liked them, but they have never been in my rotation of restaurants I frequent. I went with the Italian sandwich as usual. It was fantastic. I also enjoyed a cup of tortilla soup. Aside from the bits of cilantro I had to pick out, it was quite tasty. Hopefully my next visit will be sooner rather than later. read more

This is NOT my firdt time here at the Youree Drive location, and the way things are going in my life....It won't be the last. I absolutely love this place, and I LOVE their fire roasted tomato soup. The good thing about this place is hat they have a different variety of soups every day, so you're taking a chance if you come on a random day and your favorite soup is not being served that day. The Bossier location is TOTALLY different from the Shreveport location. And I say this because its very true. When my parents and I had gone to the Bossier Newks, she had gotten the Chicken Tortilla soup (which she absolutely loves), and the Chicken Tortilla soup wasn't brothy like it is normally served as. It was like a tomato based type of soup, which was a huge turn off. Their roast beef, wasn't quite done and my broccoli & cheese soup was too chunky. However the Shreveport location, seems to just get it right hands down. Bossier's Newks is just nor as great as the Shreveport location m, idk why, but its just not. They need Shreveport to cone shoq them how its done. read more

Omg! I am a fan!! I walked in and staff was really friendly despite the lunch traffic. Place is really kept for such a busy time to be there. I had a Southern Salad and it was amazinggg!!! This is your standard bland-not-quite-fast-food-but-not-quite-cafe-fare-either place. They have sandwiches, gigantic salads, pizzas, and soups. That's about it. I've been there at least a dozen times, and have never really been bowled over by anything. The sandwiches are merely adequate. As in, I'm not grossed out by them, my appetite is satisfied, but I also can't say I really relished the experience of eating them. They also utilize a mind-boggling practice of giving you a ***32oz*** plastic cup for your soda. Seriously? What, the people in this country aren't fat enough? The sandwiches don't have enough calories? We need a Big Gulp to go with it? Why isn't there an option for a smaller size? Look, I like a fountain coke every now and then. But for crying out loud, 32 ounces is ridiculous. The icing on that cake is the cup is PLASTIC. What a waste of resources, and I mean really. I can't believe that it's cheaper to manufacture thousands of big plastic cups than offer smaller cups that can be washed. I recently went in with my boyfriend and ordered a pizza, which I had been told was fantastic, and was pretty much revolted by the thing. Their 5 cheese pizza was laden with pesto, and I kid you not, they must have ladled olive oil over the top of it before sending it out. It was dripping, soggy, foul. So so good! When you go, you need to have the crab lobster bisque and the steak sandwich. The whole place is really nice and friendly. The bathrooms are super clean and look very high class. Everyone is very friendly and knows what they're talking about. As soon as you walk in the register is there to meet you and ask you for your food. There are always clean tables available or you can wait for your food to arrive. You can watch your food get made from behind a glass wall. Traveling for Thanksgiving we stopped at Newk's to fuel up for the remainder of our trip. What a good choice! The food was fresh and light, definitely a better alternative to greasy fast food. We were there at peak lunch and the service was fast and friendly making Newk's a no-brainer for a lunch break. I got the roast beef sandwich and the beef was tender and juicy. The bread is a perfect medium between tough and too soft. I asked for chips which turned out to just be plain Lay's; I would have preferred homemade, but Lay's aren't bad. If I'm ever passing through Shreveport again I'll definitely be refueling at Newk's. read more

The food is not prepared fresh, and my order keeps getting mixed up each visit. The staff are are not good with food prepping or cooking, and their vibe is not as positive compared to the Chic-Filet staff. Suggestion: Better training of staff. read more

Not too much to write home about. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We didn't have too much trouble finding a table at noon on a weekday but by the time we left, there was a pretty long line! It moves quickly though. I had the sandwich and salad combo which came out quickly. The salad was slightly over dressed for me but it tasted great! I ordered the turkey sandwich which comes with spicy creole mustard on it.
