Wanted to try this place because of the hype and fantastic reviews. Sadly, I was disappointed. We received a bad batch of onion rings. Attached are pictures of what we received when opening the bag. Burned and stuck together. I was disappointed that this would be served to us. While I would have driven back to point it out, we already drove 30mins out of our way to try this place so we opted not to. The burgers were decent enough. Definitely better options out there, especially for the price. We ordered double cheeseburgers with grilled onions. Great portions! Would have loved to try the large ones with avocado and bacon like in the photos. The fries were the highlight! Crispy and tasty. Definitely recommend this with a side of ranch. Overall, I just wished the onion rings were made again. I would have rather have been told to wait a few extra minutes to re-fry the onion rings than to find this in the bag. Still, some room for improvement for this somewhat new place. Try better "nexxt" time. Until then, I'll be choosing the other places in the meantime. read more

I remember learning a long time ago that when you bite into an onion ring the onion should not slip out of the batter, otherwise it's not made well. In this case, every single bite is perfect!!!! So I love this place. Burgers are pretty good, different types of soft drinks and they even sell beer! I usually walk down or bike ride to Nexx with my 7 year old. Cool neighborhood spot. BUT..... I am really bothered by how I was treated today. It is Thursday, 10:27 AM and I am coming from the park with my 2 year old. I figure why not stop for an morning burger??? I walk up, open the door (it is unlocked) and I get a hard look from someone dressed in street clothing letting me know they are closed. He tells me they don't open until 10:30 AM. Mind you, I immediately apologized and retraced my steps thinking "oh man, I must be here really early?!?"... I look down, check the time on my phone and it's just under 3 minutes before 10:30 AM. Now, I totally understand. Rules are rules. But it just made me think... it's one of the hottest days of the year, here I am with a stroller, a hungry kid and you aren't going to let me wait in the empty air-conditioned lobby for 2 and a half minutes??? Maybe they thought I was a security risk? There has been a lot of crime in the news lately and that is understandable. But I hardly think that was the case... I have worked in the food service industry, customer service industry, and have had my fair share of shady or just angry customers... and what I've learned in that time is that you can make and break a consumer relationships with the flick of a switch. Additional, you are my neighborhood burger place. I come here pretty often. I am your patron. I want to come here so that local businesses thrive. But this just didn't sit right. Just made me feel like an outcast, like a burden, just because I was so eager for your food. Even when I went to pay (which of course I still did, like I said, it's my spot) I asked the cashier "was that manager or owner or something?" to which she replied "we are all managers". She was curt and direct. I said, "I was just wondering why he kicked me out for 3 minutes..." She went on to inform me that they are normally closed but they had a manager meeting. Usually doors are locked. Okay, cool. I get it. But it was a mistake and they could have handled it differently. Even a quick apology like "sorry for the confusion" would have changed my attitude. But there was none, there was no remorse LOL! I laugh because well what can I do? This may go unnoticed. Especially since I'm giving 4 stars, a good rating. But just know Nexx Burger, you were 5 stars before this. Don't worry, I will continue to come here. I love coming with my daughters and having a mini "date" to be able to talk and connect. But this one hurt. It really did. They have treated me better than this at In-N-Out, Habit, and even McDonalds! I would definitely say, Nexx, please learn your customers. Your neighborhood locals. 1/3 lb Triple Cheeseburger combo, 1/3 lb hamburger combo, 1/3 lb cheeseburger combo, Impossible Burger combo. Great food, basically like In n Out but with more added items to add to your food. Not everything is on the menu so you can also look at the Uber eats or any other delivery service for the extra added options and other items. The Impossible Burger was good, it was what a burger would have tasted like. Of course I tried the hamburger and was pretty close, really no difference at all besides the weird odor it gave out but I think due to the onions. Who doesn't love a good burger? This place has exactly that. They serve up good burgers at a fair price. The first couple times I had Nexx I was really impressed with the quality and flavor of the ingredients. However, I must say the last time I visited, things seemed to have gone downhill a bit. The patty seemed to lack and char and flavor. I recommend ordering a burger, ADD cheese, and ADD grilled onions. The grilled onions make the burger so good and it mimics In-N-Out. They have a regular patty as well as a 1/3 lb patty to choose from. Also, you can add bacon and avocado if you choose to do so. You can make your burger "lettuce wrapped" if you are watching your carb intake. The French fries are crispy but I recommend their sweet potato fries. Lastly, they have a unique soda fountain serving Stubborn Soda-"crafted sodas made with high-quality ingredients". Whatever you do, DO NOT order their chicken strips. I made the mistake of ordering the 3pc spicy strips and they were absolutely horrible. They were mostly batter, drenched in hot sauce and unappealing. Good thing this wasn't my main meal! I threw them in the garbage and I usually NEVER waste food (my stomach is proof). I may or may not be back... time will tell. read more
