I work and live locally and this is my favorite spot for pho. I typically get take out during my lunch break or for a quick dinner at home but recently my boyfriend and I dined in. We staff was friendly and the service was prompt. We got our drinks quickly and the bartender was very attentive, checking on us multiple times even tho we weren't sitting at the bar. Our server gave us great suggestions for apps that were absolutely delicious. And we both tried the special, lobster pho, which was to die for. Everything was very fresh. This place was awesome. We had the ox tail pho and the broth was rich and delicious. The food came quickly and the staff was friendly.

My family ordered take out. The pho was good. I liked how there was a little note taped on the broth container stating to reheat the broth to a boil before consuming. I am Vietnamese and my husband always thinks it's okay to just pour the broth over the noodles and I always said we should boil it first. Pho should be eaten piping hot, especially if you order the type that comes with thinly sliced raw meat in it. I got the vermicelli noodle bowl with pork and an egg roll. It was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the spring rolls. We ordered the one with meat and there was a very thin squiggly, fatty piece of meat in it. It did not look appetizing, the meat actually looked gross when I took it out. Maybe next time use a bigger and flatter piece of meat, and more of it. And maybe add mint because it only taste like noodles and shredded lettuce which doesn't have any flavor. The peanut dipping sauce was just okay, could be better. We are happy there is a Vietnamese restaurant in the south shore and will try this place again. read more

Went at 6:30 on a Friday on a whim remembering they recently opened. Bar was full, sat at a high top. The bartender acknowledged us right away, and said that he would be right over. He came over with menus and took our drink order, was extremely friendly and a well seasoned bartender! Got the Pork Gyoza and lemon grass wrapped in betel leaves. Both were amazing! We've eaten here three times and it is so delicious! Definitely a hidden treasure in this area. The grilled onion beef, egg rolls, crab rangoon, gyoza and beef skewers were favorite for the appetizers. I am a big fan of margaritas but never had them as delicious and strong as the one they make! Pho-king delicious Vietnamese food finally lands in the South Shore. This place is now on the short list of our favorite restaurants. My wife and I are huge pho fans (she's even destroyed a cutting board making it at home) and we have been craving good pho near us ever since we moved from north of the city where we were big fans of Pho 88. We've tried all the places near us even though they're 30 minute drives from the south shore. At Nguyen's we both ordered pho ga (chicken pho) and it was delicious. The broth was flavorful and the chicken was tender. We made the "mistake" of using lots of Sriracha before tasting the soup and it turns out the soup was pretty spicy before we started. But we both agreed even with the excess heat it was still incredibly tasty. This restaurant has only been open a few weeks and it shows (frenzied but friendly staff; massive crowds on Friday night and some customers having to-go order mixups, etc). But ultimately our experience was terrific. The place is super cute (and had a hopping bar--although I wish they had a few more craft brews). The waitress was attentive and the service was fast (I got my spring rolls super quick and they were divine). We'll be back pho sure. read more

I Got take out , it was good for the area! Pricier then most Vietnamese restaurants. I ordered off the menu online; fried rice, pho, and a Vietnamese crepe. I wish the menu had a descriptions of the items and prices. I was surprised the pho was decent!!!! The fried rice had a ton of seafood ( wish I knew that I wouldn't have ordered it) and the Vietnamese crepe wasn't made with shrimp in ham inside, mine only had bean sprouts which is strange to me. Portions are smaller then other Vietnamese places. For 3x soups, the rice, and crepe it was over $60. Pricey... The menu is all in English so this place is defiantly appealing to the main demographic in the area. They also attached pho instructions with the take out! Cute idea for people who are new to pho. One of THE best food options in Cohasset area. Not everyone wants a lobster roll or pizza! I've been coming here for over 2 years and I've not once had bad service or sub par food. Everything is always fresh and delicious and the staff is so kind and attentive. Great place to come and grab a beer/food and watch the game on one of their 3 bar TVs. Just opened in December 2018 and tried them twice. The restaurant is nicely and comfortably decorated. The first time we visited was for lunch and the second, we thought we'd try it for dinner. For lunch, service was fine. Sat down right away. We ordered pho, the noodles soup. Not bad. We've had better. A little lacking in the substance (meat, veggies and noodles) compared to other Vietnamese restaurants with the same menu for the price. Willing to give them another try. Giving them another try for dinner and service was lacking. Had to wait for a table for 2 and we can see tables available. Host said they were short on help so we had to wait. It'll be a few minutes while they prepare a table. We waited about 20 minutes. Another 10 minutes before waitress took our order. Waitress was not familiar with the menu when we asked what some of the menu items' were since there were no descriptions or definitions of the items available on the menu. But instead of explaining or providing descriptions of the menu items, she kept repeating our order. In frustration and getting hangry, we decided to just place the order and hope for the best. Ordered a couple of appetizers, spring rolls and shrimp on sugar canes. For our entrees, wife ordered beef on crispy noodles and pho with tripe, brisket and eye round beef. One of the appetizers, shrimp on sugar canes came out in a few minutes. Wasn't what we expected. No "real" shrimp but shrimp like meatballs shaped out like shrimps butterflied on top of dried heated sugar cane stems. Then our entrees came out another few minutes after. To our surprise, the beef on crispy noodles were again not what we expected. The stir fried beef and veggies were not bad but the noodles were not as crispy as described by its name "crispy noodles" but instead, the rice noodles looked like rice noodles shaped as a pancake shape and hardly slightly pan fried and cut into wedges. The noodles were not "crispy." The pho was not hot but slightly warm. In our disappointment, it also took a while to track down our waitress. Then we realized we never received our other appetizer of spring rolls. Finally locating our waitress, we asked for our check and requested to omit the spring rolls since we never received them. Being generous with the "average" rating. We won't be hurrying back anytime soon. read more

"I Very Rarely give 5 stars" So I have become somewhat of an avid searcher for Pho. I've been to 3 in Quincy, 2 in Randolph and 1 in Braintree with a frequency of once or twice a week. my travels brought me to Cohasset the other day and stopped at Nguyens Kitchen after driving by a few times thinking I really ought to try thus place. I was thrilled to hear of a Vietnamese restaurant on the South Shore. We came on a Saturday around 6pm and were the only diners in the restaurant. There were people in and out picking up takeout. By the time we left, most of the tables were taken. The food was fantastic! Drinks were great...I used to love Pho Pasteur in Boston and it reminded me of their food. This place is nothing fancy, but it was comfortable enough with a very pleasant and efficient staff. They are still observing COVID-19 protocol so tables are spaced far apart and they do ask you to wear a mask when not seated at your table (which is no big deal!) There were four people in our party and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Vermicelli bowls, Pho, Pad Tai, fresh spring rolls......all delicious, fresh and very generous portions. Went here yesterday at about 4:00 p.m.ish, so there was pretty much no one there. It's such a pretty place, really gorgeous. We were greeted and seated immediately, by a waitress/hostess that was extremely friendly. She said they've been open almost a year. We ordered the Vietnamese Savory Crepe, which was just a little skimpy on the seafood filling, but it was really delicious. I got the beef stir fry with pad thai noodles and it was amazing!!! My sister got the Special Vermicelli Bowl, with pork, and she really liked her dish as well. The biggest problem, was that since it was so slow, the service wasn't great. They were busy getting dinner set up. We had to wait a while to order a 2nd glass of wine, but after that, it got much better. All said, it's such a pretty place, and just a bit more pricey than Pho Pasteur in Quincy, but I just loved the ambiance there. read more

A perfect gem on the South Shore. We have eaten at Nguyen's 5-6 times and each time it has been excellent. I am addicted to the rice in clay pot. The rice is almost caramelized by the heat of the clay pot and it is scrumptious. The fresh squeezed lemonade was just that -- freshly squeezed -- and it was delicious. The owners are working hard to bring customers in with extra signage on 3A and, more importantly, a solid philanthropic presence in the community. Something different on the south shore - an authentic Vietnamese restaurant serving lunch and dinner. The Pho broth is deep and rich in flavor. We've tried several combinations of mixed veggies, beef and beef with veggies which is a favorite. The vermicelli bowls, rice plates and noodles are all flavorful. Lots of appetizers to choose from as well - fresh spring rolls, rangoon, wings, lemongrass skewers. Well, today was Nguyen's Kitchen's grand opening and my friend and I were one of the first people in the doors for lunch -- everything we ordered was fabulous! We split the chicken/pork gyoza which were perfectly steamed then pan-friend and so delicious; she got the beef flank Pho, which I also tasted, it was exactly how a Pho should be; and I ordered the house special Vermicelli (w/chicken, meatball, shrimp and an eggroll) it was perfectly done, every ingredient fresh and right on point.
