Really cute space! I truly do love the ambience. However, I've had two shrimp rice bowls from two places. I go here for convenience when i sometimes see one - I'm gluten free and can't do soy sauce. Anyway, there's maybe 5-6 shrimp (heads up, that it's skin on) and it's super dry. The ratio of shrimp and veggies to rice is super off. There's lots of rice. The sauces that come with this one doesn't seem to fit. I'd love to try the other things...because there's so many Nguyen kitchens around... but i haven't been too impressed yet

Tell me where else you can get an açaí bowl and a banh mi at 1 AM ? yeah, I'll wait. Exactly. This spot is undefeated. Everything they serve hits, but the açaí bowls are next-level. They stack them high and let you build your own without nickel and diming you for toppings. You can really load it up to its full potential. I love that you can mix bases (two flavors!) and the price difference between a small and medium is just a couple bucks might as well go for the medium. The large might be too much for me,but hey do you! It's one of my favorite late-night spots when I want something healthy but still satisfying. The staff is always nice and quick I've never had to wait long except that one time I ordered noodles (which were actually bomb by the way). But if you're here for the açaí bowls you're in for a treat. The banh mi also holds its own fresh, flavorful, and totally worth it. Overall, this place is a hidden gem that keeps me coming back for my late-night fix.

If I'm being completely honest, I never noticed this restaurant, as it's almost tucked into the plaza. I absolutely love their bahn mi, I tried there chicken and If im being honest i would definitely choose the pork bahn-mi, I felt that the flavor on the chicken was little over whelming for myself. Over all their food is super delicious and made with care. I wish I could say the same about the staff, I usually call in my order, and I've had no issues with that at all, but when picking up, one of the girls was a bit rude and did not seem like she wanted to help. Although this does not impact the flavor / taste of the food, that's the only thing I would change.

I heard this place is great ! wanted to try for myself but unfortunately waited 30 minutes for two sliders, turns out my order wasn't placed to the cook or was given to another order. Bad first impression, front workers should be more aware, rather than playing rock paper scissors

First timer! Very busy plaza but found parking right away. Clean restaurant and restroom. Dined in. Food came out quick and beautifully plated. Tasty dishes. A little pricey for the bowls, but we enjoyed our experience anyway.

First time trying this spot out, got a house chicken sandwich and Cajun garlic fries they where friendly cool spot to chill and enjoy your food very relaxing

I was so sad when they closed the Chino location.. I happened to be in the area to stop by this one for a quick lunch. Food is great but, my all time favorite item that use to be on the menu is no longer offered. I'm not sure if I will be coming back to any of their locations after this. I remember I use to order different proteins with different dishes, mixed and matched. A specific protein for their sandwich wouldn't be on the protein list for their garlic noodles and I would request it. They never have an issue writing it in their special request. Garlic Chicken Breast is no longer on their menu.. Chicken was juicy, saucy and plenty of garlic flavor. It is paired with sautéed mushroom. It was chef's kiss.. Imagine that over top of garlic noodles with special aioli sauce, garlic lover's dream. Garlic Noodles (with House Chicken)- just didn't hit the same. Chicken was dry.. not much flavor. Only thing that saved this was their special aioli sauce, of course I asked for extras! Bulgogi Short Rib Steak (Rice Bowl)- tender and flavorful. Solid rice bowl. Cajun Garlic Fries - wasn't as crispy as I'd like. More soggy than crispy.

Had to make a quick stop in the shopping mall for the Tesla supercharger, so we did a little walk and we stumbled upon this little spot. Wanted a quick bite and refresher, so I got their popcorn chicken, extra spicy and crispy!! Gotta love the crunch! Just missing some xtra coriander leaves. Their coffee is strong and did the job for a Sunday midday pick me up. Staff were nice and very considerate in asking me if I needed any sauces to go with my popcorn chicken. What accompanied the chicken was some sort of jalapeño sauce, I believe it was their house sauce. It was a bit tangy and spicy, it was a nice touch with the chicken. However, would like to come back again and check out their entrees!

I've been here several times from the afternoon or late night and their signature sandwiches and rice bowls weren't that good, it was always way too salty. It was either salty or the portion size was never consistent. The only menu item that really stayed consistent was their Crawfish Pasta. Their crawfish pasta is slightly sweet and a bit of spice which is great. Back then, their crawfish pasta had a good amount of sauce but it seems with inflation, it'll be less sauce or it'll depend on their cook. To me, their service wasn't all that welcoming and more of a take-out experience. The ambiance inside is just ok, their tables are weirdly always sticky which is why I never dine-in. I recommend their Specialty items on their menu if anything.

2/5 - Man oh man... The girl at the front was nice. I asked for her favorite item and ordered that along with a Thai tea. The tea was okay, not overly sweet, which I didn't mind. It's very casual. You pick up your order at the front and stack trays over the trash bins when you're done. The space was clean, with tables lined up against the wall. I got the garlic noodles with bulgogi short rib steak, and honestly, I was disappointed. The so-called "short rib steak" was not short rib or steak. It looked like thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin. For the price, I would've rather eaten somewhere else. The bulgogi flavor was basic, sweet, didn't have any depth... think of it as if you're eating a sweet version of Yoshinoya's beef, except you know what you signed up for when eating there. The garlic noodles lacked any real garlic flavor... or flavor in general. They also gave me two sauces: one green & mildly spicy, the other looked like teriyaki (it didn't rlly taste like it IMO). I couldn't figure it out, and neither paired well with the noodles or the meat. If you're someone who won't leave your bubble to go try good Asian food down in Gardena, K-town, OC, or Pasadena, then sure, go at it. Side note: They also sell açaí bowls, but I'm not sure if that's a separate business since it had its own name, even though the same staff was handling both. Not sure if it was good (I purchased it for someone else), but they had a lot of cool varieties of topping and flavors.

As a fast food Asian fusion spot this was a pleasant surprise! It's a small spot at the end of a row of small spots in a mall. This is a busy parking lot but it's not difficult to find parking, there's a lot of in and out movement. The golden baos are FIRE! It's a ground pork filled deep fried bun. Delicately sweet and savory. The NK Wings good? They're very lightly breaded and crispy. The light green sauce is tangy and has quite a bit of a kick on the backside. The garlic noodles were tasty but over cooked and a little soft for me. The shrimps are also lightly breaded and fried. I'm a shell eater, I like fried shrimps with the shells on. These seemed like they might have been pre-cooked and sitting as they weren't crispy enough. The Cajun fries were crisped well! I like that, they were a bit salty and could have used a little more Cajun spice. The eggrolls were decent, a little more meat would be nice.

I've tried the one in Orange several times and I'm so glad there's finally one closer to my place! We ordered Cajun garlic fries with Bulgogi, Sliders, Bulgogi bowl, and their classic garlic noodle with added shrimp. I personally love their garlic noodles because you can always change up the meat whenever you get it & the noodles pair well with everything. Today, I ended up getting their Cajun Garlic fries and it did not disappoint! The Bulgogi is so tasty & they mix it with some onions which adds a ton of flavor to it. For me, the garlic taste is really overpowering with the fries but I love garlic so I didn't really mind. Overall, Nguyen's Kitchen is a must try and I have to suggest trying their famous garlic noodle paired with Tiger Shrimps. If you're feeling a little extra hungry, also try their Bulgogi either with fries, rice or a sandwich! read more

First time trying this place out, it looked super yummy on Instagram. We ordered through there website, it said about 15 to 20 minutes we got there at 15 minutes & it wasn't ready quite yet which was fine. We had put special instructions to add extra noodles & that we would pay for them since there wasn't an extra noodle button online. We unfortunately didn't get them but I asked before we left & we waited for an additional whole order of noodles. We got the wings, the garlic noodles with the steak, and a steak sandwich. My boyfriend said he would give the sandwich a 7 out of 10 definitely way to much cilantro. But over all super tasty sandwich. The wings we both agreed deserved a 10 out of 10 they were delicious, super crispy and flavorful the only thing we would have wanted would have been a different dipping sauce option besides ranch. Finally the garlic noodles they got a 6 out of 10 it wasn't that they weren't good it was that they were more on the bland side & had an odd aftertaste. They also didn't mention that the steak came with onions on the noodles which I wasn't a big fan of. The service was great, the girl behind the counter helped walk us through drinks & was very nice about all our little questions. We will definitely give this place another try, & maybe see what else they have to offer. read more

I would give this a zero star if I can Since the moment we step into the restaurant, the staffs have giving me much attitude, made me and my husband feel unwelcome. As we noticed there was no cashier only 2 kitchen staffs. We sat at the table waiting for them to take our order and they just keep having their own conversation like we don't even exist until my husband turn around and told them we are ready to order. I wanna make it clear that we completely fine with coming to the cashier to order, however, the employees continue to acts as if we asking for free food. We were the only customers in the store at the moment so I assume because they giving bad attitude that's why the business is slow. We ordered 2 drinks ( fountain drink and jasmine milk tea) The fountain drink tasted like mold, like if they don't clean the nozzles Jasmine milk tea taste like cucumber?!? I told the staff about my drink, no apology, just straight up asked me what other drink I want. I got peach lychee for replacement + employee attitude AGAIN! We ordered 2 garlic noodles and both tasted really salty. Overall, NEVER RECOMMENDED EVER AGAIN TO ANYONE. read more

I really like this place! They have delicious garlic noodles. I've tried all 3, chicken beef and shrimp. All are delicious depending on what you're in the mood for. Their Vietnamese coffee is delicious, garlic fries are yummy and they give a large portion. Beef bulgogi sliders were good a tiny bit too salty but still yummy. And they also sell Pur bowls which are like açaí bowls but also have other options for the base like matcha and other fruits and they have plenty of healthy toppings, I like to add the vanilla chia pudding to the Amazon bowl very yummy. I also appreciate the decore it's very pretty. The service has also been friendly and prompt. Excited to try other menu options. read more

HANDS DOWN one of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. My friend and I ordered a Bulgogi sandwich, Cajun garlic fries, the crispy wings and a spicy crawfish pasta. Man when I tell you that each and every one of them was so good! HUGE shout out to CAMILA for being so patient and amazing! She not only gave us amazing recommendations but she also was amazing at explaining the items on the menu. She was so amazing through our entire experience and went above and beyond for us. Let's just be honest... and their food was good. I ordered garlic half chicken half steak noodles. It was a little too pricey, because I had the same kind of noodles from Food truck and it was a little bit cheaper than Nguyen's. Anyhow, the steak was very delicious and very juicy, and chicken was a little dry maybe because it was was already cooked, and their cook throw it on stove to warmed up but I really liked it. Absolutely delicious! I have been wanting to go for a while because of the great Google reviews, my boyfriend and I finally went a few weeks ago and it was heavenly. I first discovered this place over three months ago when I went in just to look at their menu and I saw that they had Bahn Mi sandwiches. so I took a chance, and I tried the beef Bulgogi bánh mì and oh my gosh! That was the most bomb Diggity sandwich that I've had in a long time the bread was soft, the meat was season, well, and it had all the little pickled veggies on it like it was supposed to, but the kicker was this sweet, jalapeño, cilantro sauce, that they give you, that just sits there sandwich in a whole different stratosphere. I do have to say that they do add a lot of cilantro on the top, so if you're not into cilantro, like that, I was suggest you tell them easy on the cilantro. I have yet to try any of the other dishes because I'm kind of stuck on the sandwich, but I heard that the garlic noodles are very good too read more

Good was amazing. Had the bulgogi short rib sandwich. Also had egg rolls. No complaints there. But the service?! Whoa. Atrocious. The place was completely empty when I walked in. She couldn't be bothered to look up and give a greeting. Seemed like I was inconveniencing her by coming into her place of business. Unassuming location with late night hours and an interesting menu alongside great interior design. I came here 30 minutes before closing and was greeted by a sweet and professional girl who was very helpful answering questions about the menu. I ordered CAJUN FRIES with FRIED EGG, GARLIC NOODLES with PORK and a MANGO GREEN TEA. The fries were good but could be better, they weren't cooked evenly. The fried egg was a nice touch. The garlic noodles were tasty but i felt something was missing, next time ill try them with another item instead of fries. As for the Mango green tea, I'm a sucker for specialty drinks and they didnt disappoint. Togo order food containers dont match the theme of the business. All-in-all I settled on giving this location 4 stars with a promise to follow up. Although I feel this location can hit a 5 star after trying more of the menu, I suspect it will stay a 4, which isnt bad for a place open till 1am. read more

I ordered the popcorn chicken. It was chewy. I also ordered garlic fries. They were kind of stale. Along with that I ordered sliders. They were ok, not enough flavor for my taste. I ended the order with garlic noodles with chicken and shrimp. The shrimp had the shell and tail on them, I hate that. The chicken wasn't that great either. I'll never order from here again. This place is one of our favorite spots! I just moved to Paramount and I'm so glad I found this place. They're open late and offer a unique Asian fusion cuisine experience. What a great find. We placed an order online and it was ready in 20 minutes. Parking was easy to find in the plaza. There were two gentlemen working in the front and both provided a friendly service. We ordered the bulgogi short rib steak sandwich, crawfish pasta, grilled pork rice bowl and a green milk tea. All were delicious, but I would have to say the sandwich and rice bowl were better than the pasta. The pasta had great flavor but it was a bit too spicy for me. It was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon so I am not sure why we annoyed her by just asking questions. The sandwich we ordered was better than the 3 bowls. Nguyen's Kitchen offers a tasty escape with its delicious takeout options! The flavors are vibrant and the portions generous. I especially loved their Pho and spring rolls! This is our absolute favorite restaurant for so many reasons. One, it's a few minutes away from home. Two, the food is amazing! Three, they stay open super late! And lastly, the service is wonderful! I love Nguyen's Kitchen! This location has a great vibe and the food is amazing as always. My go to is their garlic noodle and chicken breast. Their green sauce is so so good... If you like garlic flavored dishes, NK hits the spot. read more

I'm new to the area and was looking for a late night food spot. They are open until 1am which is great! The rib sandwich was really good. It has a nice vibe and everyone was friendly. The pork buns are my favorite. read more
