Really cute space! I truly do love the ambience. However, I've had two shrimp rice bowls from two places. I go here for convenience when i sometimes see one - I'm gluten free and can't do soy sauce. Anyway, there's maybe 5-6 shrimp (heads up, that it's skin on) and it's super dry. The ratio of shrimp and veggies to rice is super off. There's lots of rice. The sauces that come with this one doesn't seem to fit. I'd love to try the other things...because there's so many Nguyen kitchens around... but i haven't been too impressed yet

Tell me where else you can get an açaí bowl and a banh mi at 1 AM ? yeah, I'll wait. Exactly. This spot is undefeated. Everything they serve hits, but the açaí bowls are next-level. They stack them high and let you build your own without nickel and diming you for toppings. You can really load it up to its full potential. I love that you can mix bases (two flavors!) and the price difference between a small and medium is just a couple bucks might as well go for the medium. The large might be too much for me,but hey do you! It's one of my favorite late-night spots when I want something healthy but still satisfying. The staff is always nice and quick I've never had to wait long except that one time I ordered noodles (which were actually bomb by the way). But if you're here for the açaí bowls you're in for a treat. The banh mi also holds its own fresh, flavorful, and totally worth it. Overall, this place is a hidden gem that keeps me coming back for my late-night fix.

If I'm being completely honest, I never noticed this restaurant, as it's almost tucked into the plaza. I absolutely love their bahn mi, I tried there chicken and If im being honest i would definitely choose the pork bahn-mi, I felt that the flavor on the chicken was little over whelming for myself. Over all their food is super delicious and made with care. I wish I could say the same about the staff, I usually call in my order, and I've had no issues with that at all, but when picking up, one of the girls was a bit rude and did not seem like she wanted to help. Although this does not impact the flavor / taste of the food, that's the only thing I would change.

I heard this place is great ! wanted to try for myself but unfortunately waited 30 minutes for two sliders, turns out my order wasn't placed to the cook or was given to another order. Bad first impression, front workers should be more aware, rather than playing rock paper scissors

First timer! Very busy plaza but found parking right away. Clean restaurant and restroom. Dined in. Food came out quick and beautifully plated. Tasty dishes. A little pricey for the bowls, but we enjoyed our experience anyway.

First time trying this spot out, got a house chicken sandwich and Cajun garlic fries they where friendly cool spot to chill and enjoy your food very relaxing

I was so sad when they closed the Chino location.. I happened to be in the area to stop by this one for a quick lunch. Food is great but, my all time favorite item that use to be on the menu is no longer offered. I'm not sure if I will be coming back to any of their locations after this. I remember I use to order different proteins with different dishes, mixed and matched. A specific protein for their sandwich wouldn't be on the protein list for their garlic noodles and I would request it. They never have an issue writing it in their special request. Garlic Chicken Breast is no longer on their menu.. Chicken was juicy, saucy and plenty of garlic flavor. It is paired with sautéed mushroom. It was chef's kiss.. Imagine that over top of garlic noodles with special aioli sauce, garlic lover's dream. Garlic Noodles (with House Chicken)- just didn't hit the same. Chicken was dry.. not much flavor. Only thing that saved this was their special aioli sauce, of course I asked for extras! Bulgogi Short Rib Steak (Rice Bowl)- tender and flavorful. Solid rice bowl. Cajun Garlic Fries - wasn't as crispy as I'd like. More soggy than crispy.

Had to make a quick stop in the shopping mall for the Tesla supercharger, so we did a little walk and we stumbled upon this little spot. Wanted a quick bite and refresher, so I got their popcorn chicken, extra spicy and crispy!! Gotta love the crunch! Just missing some xtra coriander leaves. Their coffee is strong and did the job for a Sunday midday pick me up. Staff were nice and very considerate in asking me if I needed any sauces to go with my popcorn chicken. What accompanied the chicken was some sort of jalapeño sauce, I believe it was their house sauce. It was a bit tangy and spicy, it was a nice touch with the chicken. However, would like to come back again and check out their entrees!

I've been here several times from the afternoon or late night and their signature sandwiches and rice bowls weren't that good, it was always way too salty. It was either salty or the portion size was never consistent. The only menu item that really stayed consistent was their Crawfish Pasta. Their crawfish pasta is slightly sweet and a bit of spice which is great. Back then, their crawfish pasta had a good amount of sauce but it seems with inflation, it'll be less sauce or it'll depend on their cook. To me, their service wasn't all that welcoming and more of a take-out experience. The ambiance inside is just ok, their tables are weirdly always sticky which is why I never dine-in. I recommend their Specialty items on their menu if anything.

2/5 - Man oh man... The girl at the front was nice. I asked for her favorite item and ordered that along with a Thai tea. The tea was okay, not overly sweet, which I didn't mind. It's very casual. You pick up your order at the front and stack trays over the trash bins when you're done. The space was clean, with tables lined up against the wall. I got the garlic noodles with bulgogi short rib steak, and honestly, I was disappointed. The so-called "short rib steak" was not short rib or steak. It looked like thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin. For the price, I would've rather eaten somewhere else. The bulgogi flavor was basic, sweet, didn't have any depth... think of it as if you're eating a sweet version of Yoshinoya's beef, except you know what you signed up for when eating there. The garlic noodles lacked any real garlic flavor... or flavor in general. They also gave me two sauces: one green & mildly spicy, the other looked like teriyaki (it didn't rlly taste like it IMO). I couldn't figure it out, and neither paired well with the noodles or the meat. If you're someone who won't leave your bubble to go try good Asian food down in Gardena, K-town, OC, or Pasadena, then sure, go at it. Side note: They also sell açaí bowls, but I'm not sure if that's a separate business since it had its own name, even though the same staff was handling both. Not sure if it was good (I purchased it for someone else), but they had a lot of cool varieties of topping and flavors.

As a fast food Asian fusion spot this was a pleasant surprise! It's a small spot at the end of a row of small spots in a mall. This is a busy parking lot but it's not difficult to find parking, there's a lot of in and out movement. The golden baos are FIRE! It's a ground pork filled deep fried bun. Delicately sweet and savory. The NK Wings good? They're very lightly breaded and crispy. The light green sauce is tangy and has quite a bit of a kick on the backside. The garlic noodles were tasty but over cooked and a little soft for me. The shrimps are also lightly breaded and fried. I'm a shell eater, I like fried shrimps with the shells on. These seemed like they might have been pre-cooked and sitting as they weren't crispy enough. The Cajun fries were crisped well! I like that, they were a bit salty and could have used a little more Cajun spice. The eggrolls were decent, a little more meat would be nice.

The menu sounds bomb but the actual product was very disappointing. To start, the bulgogi did not taste good at all and for the most part basically ruined the meal. It didn't even taste like bulgogi and had a weird taste to it. The fries were okay... they did give you a really big serving so that was nice. Would not recommend getting it with bulgogi. read more

Major disappointment. Everything looked and sounded so good, especially for a place open late. The entire meal was salty and oily, and I'm not one to shy away from greasy food. The garlic noodles sat in a pool of grease and the bulgogi sandwich was soggy and began to fall apart. The popcorn chicken was bland and had almost no spice to it even though we ordered it spicy. Honestly the only positive thing I can say about this experience was they had a decent music playlist. The host/server didn't even greet us upon arrival, leaning over the counter and ignoring the greeting I gave her. Overall I wouldn't give this place another chance. There's not a lot on the menu and they seemed to have missed the mark on their most popular items. read more

I didn't know what i wanted for dinner, so decided to try something new. We ordered: The egg rolls: very good with green dipping sauce. cajun fries: crispy and had good seasoning. I used ranch for dipping. Garlic noodles with chicken: pretty good. I tried it with siracha and it was great. Short rib sandwich: so good and flavorful. The place has a chill vibe. I ate at the bar top. The service was great and the food was very good. I will be returning to try more things! read more

I was looking forward to their rice and pork bowl. Sadly, I got chicken. I realized it when I arrived to my destination (ordered this to go) so I couldn't go back to ask for what I actually ordered. My bad, I guess for not checking before leaving the place. I am also glad it was to go, the employees working tonight seemed to not be happy to be there and were not welcoming at all. Second visit there. Food is tasty. I enjoy the ice coffee. The fact that it's open really late is the main reason we go. ( I wish the ratio of ice in the ice coffee was more coffee and less ice ) Food is fresh ..! Would recommend. We tried the South Gate location, everything looks good. Once we started eating, everything we ordered was EXTREMELY salty. From the fries, popcorn chicken and noodles, really salty. We spent like $90 for salty foods. After a few bites, my family stop eating because the salt was unbearable. If you like really salty dishes, this is for you. Never coming back. read more

"Hands down the best pork rice bowl I have ever eaten. My coworker and I were working in the area and these heavenly rice bowls has great flavor and AMAZING crunch to the pork boa the crispiness of the boa is what makes the boa so good and addicting.The sauce was a balanced mix of sweet and spicy (very mild, if I had to rate it), which was also 5 star Amazing food. They be putting some crack in those garlic noodles because I could not stop eating them :O I'm super excited that Nguyen's Kitchen opened up a location here so I don't have to go all the way to OC. Everything I've tried is amazing and super duper tasty, you really can't go wrong with anything here. Service is fast and it's easy to call in your order ahead of time. Tip: If you order online, there's a service fee so I always call in my order. I knocked off a star because I think it's rather pricey for what you get, but everything else is great. That won't stop me from coming back though ;) read more

I ordered the garlic noodles with bulgogi beef,a side of white rice, and a drink. The food was amazing as it has that umami flavor with a side of rice. The price was not that reasonable as my order came out to $27 for lunch. I guess you can cut your price by a couple of bucks by not ordering the add on like steak for $7.45 and a drink that is $3.99. Besides that i will love to come try the sandwiches. I would defined recommend this place for the food as it was pretty amazing!!! read more

Recently had Nguyen's Kitchen on a film set I was producing and they were so nice to work with in making our order and delivering the food on time, which is so important for production. So I found this place because it used to be a burger slider place and now it's totally different. We stayed because they still offer sliders and let me tell you these are super delicious sliders. I will bet they will be one of the most delicious sliders you've had. Since I work close to hear I can only fit in a light lunch. However this place does not miss on anything I've had so far. If you haven't had garlic noodles, they are a must have. Between sliders and chicken garlic noodles I haven't changed my routing typically because when something is so good you don't want to mess up a good thing. But recently had to try the rib sub sandwich and I have to say it was delicious . I can't put my finger on the flavor or seasoning they are using but is it unique and different. Went today the music was good the and the cashier and staff were super cool they made my day! read more

I am excited writing this review honesty. I went in Sunday night at like 9:15pm because i wanted Jersey Mikes but low and behold they didn't turn their sign off and they were already closed. So looking around Nguyen's Kitchen was open and honestly I was hungry so i figured why not try something new. Automatically walked in and was pleasantly surprised with the layout of the restaurant it was super open and welcoming. Watching the video of food go by made me think, OK maybe i can find something. Walking up to the counter I was greeted by the most bubbly and might i add, GORGEOUS woman named Camilla. I asked her what she recommended, I couldn't hear her well but that's not her fault i'm just hard of hearing, so I had went with the crawfish pasta. YALL for one, it was amazing lol, and i also had gotten the Mango Green Tea to wash it down. Once i got my order Camilla was just so sweet and had given me a sample of the cucumber lemon refresher which was a BANGER definitely going to get it next time! She offered if i wanted to try the food before I left i said sure. it was FRESH and so incredibly good. I am coming back for sure. Hopefully in a night Camilla is working because she was super sweet and made the experience of a new place easy and not stressful. Food was amazing and the drink was pretty good just super sweet. read more

Lowkey spot, went in today on Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy. I gravitated towards the Garlic noodles and I added shrimp. Wow, I was not disappointed! The noodles were perfectly cooked indeed very garlicky, which I loved. To drink I ordered the Peach-Lychee green tea, it was perfect for this warm weather, very refreshing. The ambient was very laid back, not noisy at all. I definitely recommend popping by if you're looking for delicious food at a chill spot. read more

I was so excited to try this place out but it wasn't good at all, I should have listened to the bad reviews. The service wasn't great and the food much less. I got their Thai tea and it had a funny after taste I only took a couple sips of it because it was that bad. Their garlic noodles weren't that great either and u have to peel your own shrimp which is fine but some of the shrimp skin was already in my noodles before I started to peel them so I had to pick it out because I didn't want to accidentally eat it. The chicken wings were good tasting but literally soo small. I've worked in the food industry myself and when the wings were that small we would give the customers a couple extra to make up for how small they were. Also while I was there someone had a hair in their food which is disgusting and they didn't refund him or anything which I feel would have been the least they could do. The meat here is consistently tender from the experiences I can recall. The rib bones pho is worth trying at least once, but their combination bowl still hits the spot all the same. I do wish the overall average price point was a few dollars cheaper. I think their cheapest bowl of pho is already $14-$15. Service was chill and quick, I could tell the staff was busy during my last stop in. I'm not around often, but I take comfort in knowing I can grab a decent meal here.
