I called ahead to ask if they could accommodate two Gel-X manicures and three gel pedicures, and was told yes, so we headed over. Unfortunately, the service didn't meet expectations. My mom showed the manicurist a video of the design she wanted--she even replayed it multiple times--but the process felt rushed from the start. There was no typical manicure prep (no soaking, cuticle care, or massage), just immediate cutting, filing, and application of tips. When the nails were finished, my mom wasn't happy with the design. She didn't ask to start over--just if it could be adjusted or enhanced. The technician responded with attitude, saying she didn't understand what was wanted, despite having seen the reference multiple times. She quickly removed part of the design, made minor changes, and moved on. It became clear the technician had another client waiting and rushed through my mom's service. For a $200 manicure, that's disappointing--especially when the result isn't something the client is happy with. While the pedicure was fine, the overall experience fell short. My mom ended up going to another salon the next day and paying again to have her nails fixed. I work in the service industry myself, so I understand that not every client interaction is easy--but I was always taught to make it right when a guest isn't happy. From a customer service standpoint, this was a big letdown. We weren't difficult or demanding--she simply didn't like the design and wanted help improving it. Mary is sweet and nice, and I have nothing negative to say about her as a person. My experience with the actual manicure was very different from what I expected based on the reviews. The nails were extremely thick, the application was uneven, and there was a significant amount of space between the polish and my cuticles. I pointed out the excessive thickness during the appointment. Mary just wiped them down one more time, smiled, and left them essentially the same. The photos I'm posting were taken the same day, immediately after I got the manicure. This is how the nails looked when I left the salon (!!!) not after several days of wear. The timing made it even more frustrating because I got my nails done on Friday, right before my birthday. By Sunday, just two days later, I had to find another salon and pay again to have the entire set redone. I'm also including photos of what my nails looked like after I had the manicure from Italy Nails & Spa completely redone by another nail technician. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Italy Nails & Spa for a manicure. I understand that everyone has different preferences and standards when it comes to nail care and manicure. However, if you expect a clean and nicely finished manicure, I don't think Italy Nails & Spa is likely to meet your expectations. EDIT: I understand that you have a 10-day guarantee, but that's not the manicure I would like to have redone. The issue is not a chip or polish, it's the overall quality of the manicure. Additionally, the salon manager reached out to me privately and said, "We tried to look into your visit, but unfortunately we couldn't find your information without the exact date and time." I provided the exact date and time right away, as I still have the confirmation message from my appointment, but I never heard back from them. I would have appreciated the opportunity to have this addressed properly rather than receiving what feels like a generic ChatGPT response.

I am allergic to gel unfortunately so I dont get to do many fun designs, but Ken is the one tech I've found that can do more than just one color using dip powder: hes done French tip and ombre using dip and always does a fantastic job. If he feels that the nails arent long enough or design feels funky depending on my length of nails, he will always let me know and give me options. I really appreciate that. My nails always last - usually well over a month even with dip. Most nail techs here are great but I did get one person who started putting gel on my toes once despite me reminding them I couldn't get gel. I always stick with Ken and its been smooth sailing ever since. I also had my nails grow soooo long with him and using just dip powder. Highly recommend The salon is refurbished so the place is even nicer than before ! My go to techs would be any of the guys especially Ken, Lucas, Tom and the other gentleman with glasses (I never got his service but he always knows what he's doing).
