Seeing someone consume food over meals that are being made for customers was very off-putting and raised concerns about food safety and sanitation. Free food always tastes a little better... or at least that's the theory ;) The staff were friendly and patient, especially while I struggled with placing my order on the app. However, I do respect technology :) I've been to WaBa Grill in California several times, and I remember the protein being much better. This visit, the chicken and steak were a little dry, and the steak was especially tough and gristly. Not good for the TMJ :( Hopefully it was just an off day, or maybe we picked the wrong proteins. On the plus side, the location is easy to get to right off the 215 and Durango, and there's plenty of parking. I'd give them another shot because everyone has an off day--and, free birthday food is still hard to complain about :)
