    Lamb/beef gyro pita

Tasty gyro meat grilled to order! Pita bread was nice too. Seems like a popular spot for takeout or a quick bite

Had the lamb gyro without the fries. The meat was good. The pita was soft. Along with the tomatoes, lettuce and sauce, the gyro had everything in it that just go well together. Reasonably priced. Waited about 10 min for one gyro. This is located in the Valley Fair food court.

Not much of a line. Helpful service to understand choices. Pretty quick to get food. Ambiance=mall food court, pretty bright, little noisy, no music. Food= Mediterranean bowl with chicken and chicken gyro Bowl was pretty filling. Chicken grilled, done well. Gyro was pretty std., had French fries inside. Pretty filling. Lettuce no cucumber. Overall quality good. Meat is healthy, not greasy. Would try again.

Pretty good Greek food. One of the less popular options in the food court in Valley Fair, but that's good - as the food is decent and the wait times are almost non-existent. Pretty standard in terms of quality. We got the Gyro bowl with lamb, and Gyro plate with chicken. The chicken was a tad bit on the dry side, and with the fries in the Gyro plate it was a little too dry for my taste. The Gyro bowl incorporates the salad within the bowl and so was more balanced in terms of the flavour profile.

Worse food you can have!!!! The chicken was microwaved hard the sauce was horrible the fries were probably from 4 -6 days ago just warmed up! The food and the health department need to visit this location asap!!! Nothing feels fresh unlike the other nick the greeks I go to

I finally tried Nick the Greek and when I arrived there was an angry lady demanding for a refund. I had to wait a little bit longer which was fine since I still had to decide what I wanted to order. Aside from that, service was great and the food was very good! I ordered the Chicken Gyro bowl and it did not disappoint. It was very saucy which I love because I am a sauce person! I did not have to ask for any extra sauce. After I picked up my order the line got super long.

Pleasant suprise to find tender and tasty meat dishes other than those from Panda Express in the food court. Would recommend the beef/lamb rice plates. Fast service!

This place is definitely underrated in my opinion, it's one of the few options in the Valleyfair food court that doesn't feel heavy, greasy, or oily. Definitely a good option if you want something that's satisfying and doesn't drag you down. I've tried the lamb/beef bowl, pork belly bowl, and the falafel bowl. All are decent, but my go-to is the falafel gyro bowl! They also have a self-order tablet where you can pick and choose things yourself without having to talk to the cashier, which is convenient.

Good dining experience at Nick the Greek. Especially this location at the Valley Fair mall. Saturday night, I am doing some shopping (dang, the mall was very crowded!) and I am hungry. It is also a bit cold, so I walk by Nick the Greek and see they have soup. Specifically, Avgolemono soup, which is a lemon chicken soup with orzo and bits of shredded chicken. I order it, and the cashier was this nice guy with a smile on his face. He greets me and all that good stuff. Then I ask for a cup of water, and he says "Sure" again with a smile. That is rare these days! Some places will not give you free water, and insist you purchase a drink. So I wait for my order, and my soup arrives. It was delicious - nice pieces of orzo and chicken. Thank you to their friendly staff!

I know it's a chain and I don't normally review chains but giving this place a three is a crime. Sure it's not the best ever but I've had supposedly authentic Greek food that tasted far worse than this! And before you wonder if I know the difference I've actually been to Greece and had plenty of Greek food. This place is solid in the gyros. The salad is fresh, the pita is warm and tasty and the tzatziki is solid. FOOD: For a mall take our place they serve nice and fresh food of good quality. And honestly better than most Greek places I've been to. The gyro meat is great (beef/lamb). They also have pork belly which is good but rich. It's the pita that impresses me. So warm and fluffy. The fries are only okay. SERVICE: Basicalky mall service. Not bad but nothing exceptional. I love that the food is fresh and made to order. COST: Reasonable! We've been back here many times already. Solid mall food and worth more than a three (3.5 would be fair but a three? No way).

Haven't eaten at the Valley Fair food court in some time, so decided to see if anything new was there. Well, the burgers are gone, but Nick the Greek is there. So, how was it? Pretty good. I love a good gyro and the ones here were pretty tasty and soft. Service was also kind and professional. If you like Greek food, then it's worth at least a shot.

I was sad when Super Duper Burgers closed down at Westfield Valley Fair. But it's great to see that Nick the Greek opened in the spot and it's much closer to me now. I can grab their kids meal and baklava honey frozen Greek yogurt as a snack whenever I am shopping. Sometimes you just feel like getting a snack but a bag of chips and soda doesn't fill you up. A chicken souvlaki kid's meal and frozen yogurt hits the spot perfectly for me. I love how their pita bread is toasted nicely and don't forget to ask for a side of tzatziki sauce to dip your pita bread in. The chicken is tender and a squeeze of the lemon adds an extra layer of flavor. The baklava honey frozen Greek yogurt is a yummy dessert that just caps everything nicely. It is perfectly tart and sweet. Please note, their food is made to order so if they're busy, you might have to wait a little bit. I love how they have the tablets which makes ordering much easier and faster. A great new addition to Westfield Valley Fair!

    Loukoumades

Now open in the food court at Westfield Valley Fair! Nick's started in 2014 with the very first location in San Jose. There are now over 30 locations spanning from San Diego up to Roseville. That's a success story! You'll find all the menu items like souvlaki and gyros that Nick's is known for. I got to try the loukoumades here. Where can you get loukoumades made-to-order in just about 5 minutes? Right here! I've loved this delectably deep fried Greek dessert (similar to doughnuts drizzled with honey and sprinkles with nuts) since I was a kid. Only problem is they're typically only available at a few sit-down Greek restaurants or at Greek festivals once a year. But you can get these here all the time! Service was friendly and super efficient. It's a new location but it's staffed with an experienced staff. TIP: Because loukoumades are deep fried, it's best to enjoy them ASAP!

They are located in a little strip mall on Alma Ave a few doors down from The Giving Pie. The parking lot is not huge but it we were able to find parking with no problem. The inside is nicely decorated with pictures of famous places in Greece. It's not huge inside but cozy with several tables for inside seating as well as a patio outside for outdoor seating. You can scan the QR code at your table or order at the front counter. We ordered from the front counter. We ordered the highly recommended Mousaka, the 3 piece plate with a side of green Greek salad. We chose the chicken skewer, pork skewer, and bifteki for our 3 meat choices as well as an order of Spanikopita. Our food was delivered to our table promptly. I grew up eating my Mom's Mousaka and I've eaten it in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Let me tell you, their Mousaka was excellent. The eggplant, potato, meat filling and béchamel on the top were perfect. It's definitely a must try. The three skewers of meat were so flavorful and juicy. Both my husband and I loved it!! The pita bread it came with so warm and soft. The Spanikopita was fresh and hot. Delicious flaky phyllo dough with a savory spinach interior. The salads that came with each dish were also wonderful. Their feta on the top was so good and I loved the Kalamata olives. Customer service here was great. The young lady that helped us when we ordered was very friendly and helpful. It started getting busy inside while we were eating and I can see why. This is delicious homemade Greek food made from the heart. We will be coming here more often, now that we know about this place. There are many other things we are looking forward to trying.

My husband and I decided to walk here 7pm on a Friday and I am so glad we did!…read more The service was wonderful and the food was 10/10. You can definitely split plates here as the portions are big. We ordered the falafels, baba ganoush, chicken souvlaki plate and the gyro plate. We will be adding this one to our rotation!

1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.
