After shopping at Vally Fair I went straight to the food court to see my options for lunch. I was looking for something healthy, like a salad. I noticed they had a Nick The Greek in the food court. I thought this was the perfect healthy choice. I ordered the chopped salad minus the bell peppers and added one skewer of chicken for an extra $5. I also ordered the red wine vinaigrette dressing on the side. The young man at the register was very polite and helped me with my order. I liked that you can specify exactly what you want in your salad and also what you don't want. He let me know that they would call my name out when my order was ready. While I waited, I noticed how tidy and organized they kept things behind the counter. My order was ready in about 5 minutes. I took my order and found a place to sit. The salad was delicious. It had Romain lettuce, pickled onions, Kalamata olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, green onions, chickpeas and feta cheese. It was delicious with the red wine vinaigrette dressing. I added the chicken to my salad and mixed it up. It was the perfect healthy lunch. The chicken was moist and flavorful. I only wished they had given a bit more chicken. The amount of chicken was very small for $5. If I had known this before, I would have added an extra protein. Oh well. It did the job and I really enjoyed it. read more

Good portion, nice staff, and not long wait. Decided to try this place after looking at all my options at the mall. There was no one in line and after looking at the menu and yelp reviews, I decided to try the gyro bowl. You can pick your protein or do veggie. I ended up doing a combo for $3.25 more for a drink and pitas. I paid around $18 including 2 dollar tip. Gyro bowl: had lots of protein, rice, tomato, lettuce, onion etc. if there is anything you dont want, u can tell them to exclude it! Service is amazing here. Pretty good Greek food. One of the less popular options in the food court in Valley Fair, but that's good - as the food is decent and the wait times are almost non-existent. Pretty standard in terms of quality. We got the Gyro bowl with lamb, and Gyro plate with chicken. The chicken was a tad bit on the dry side, and with the fries in the Gyro plate it was a little too dry for my taste. I finally tried Nick the Greek and when I arrived there was an angry lady demanding for a refund. I had to wait a little bit longer which was fine since I still had to decide what I wanted to order. Aside from that, service was great and the food was very good! I ordered the Chicken Gyro bowl and it did not disappoint. It was very saucy which I love because I am a sauce person! I ordered the Mediterranean steak bowl expecting a hearty meal, but what I got was a pathetic joke barely 1 oz of steak buried under a mountain of filler like rice and veggies. This place is definitely underrated in my opinion, it's one of the few options in the Valleyfair food court that doesn't feel heavy, greasy, or oily. Good dining experience at Nick the Greek. Especially this location at the Valley Fair mall. Saturday night, I am doing some shopping (dang, the mall was very crowded!) and I am hungry. It is also a bit cold, so I walk by Nick the Greek and see they have soup. Specifically, Avgolemono soup, which is a lemon chicken soup with orzo and bits of shredded chicken. I order it, and the cashier was this nice guy with a smile on his face. He greets me and all that good stuff. Then I ask for a cup of water, and he says "Sure" again with a smile. That is rare these days! Some places will not give you free water, and insist you purchase a drink. So I wait for my order, and my soup arrives. It was delicious - nice pieces of orzo and chicken. Sure it's not the best ever but I've had supposedly authentic Greek food that tasted far worse than this! I was sad when Super Duper Burgers closed down at Westfield Valley Fair. But it's great to see that Nick the Greek opened in the spot and it's much closer to me now. I can grab their kids meal and baklava honey frozen Greek yogurt as a snack whenever I am shopping. Sometimes you just feel like getting a snack but a bag of chips and soda doesn't fill you up. A chicken souvlaki kid's meal and frozen yogurt hits the spot perfectly for me. I love how their pita bread is toasted nicely and don't forget to ask for a side of tzatziki sauce to dip your pita bread in. The chicken is tender and a squeeze of the lemon adds an extra layer of flavor. The baklava honey frozen Greek yogurt is a yummy dessert that just caps everything nicely. It is perfectly tart and sweet. Please note, their food is made to order so if they're busy, you might have to wait a little bit. Now open in the food court at Westfield Valley Fair! Nick's started in 2014 with the very first location in San Jose. There are now over 30 locations spanning from San Diego up to Roseville. That's a success story! You'll find all the menu items like souvlaki and gyros that Nick's is known for. I got to try the loukoumades here. Where can you get loukoumades made-to-order in just about 5 minutes? Right here! I've loved this delectably deep fried Greek dessert (similar to doughnuts drizzled with honey and sprinkles with nuts) since I was a kid. Only problem is they're typically only available at a few sit-down Greek restaurants or at Greek festivals once a year. But you can get these here all the time! Service was friendly and super efficient. It's a new location but it's staffed with an experienced staff. TIP: Because loukoumades are deep fried, it's best to enjoy them ASAP! read more

I think this is the earliest I have been on reviewing a place. I come to Westfield every couple of weeks for walking and the food court. It was noticed this location has opened very recently and had to give it a try. Greek food comes in handy sometimes, and I couldn't resist. So for me, I tried ordering one of the burger' related items. I was impressed greatly by the food, it was packed full of flavor. There is no doubt, I will order more often from Nick's. I ordered beef lamb gyro with fries. I give this place 5 stars for creativity and 3 1/2 stars for the taste. The fries were crispy and tasty. It has some herbs in the fries. I am not sure if like I like extra flavoring. The gyro was good. The pita bread was soft and chewy. The meat was tasty. The gyro contained the right amount of meat, and a bit too much sauce. I never thought I would be giving Nick the Greek a bad review. This location lacks quality control and good customer service. I ordered regular fries hoping I can add green onions and garlic. Instead the cashier insisted that it was not possible even though every other location would do it for me at a small fee. Regular fries are $4 I don't mind paying extra for garlic and green onion, but not 7.95 especially since I don't eat cheese I don't think it's justifiable to charge four extra dollars for a little bit of green onion and garlic. To add insult to injury, the fries were incredibly under seasoned compared to other Nick the Greek locations and The consistency in which I can only describe as Styrofoam. Very overcooked. read more
