Me and my beautiful wife and child were coming to dine for breakfast around 9AM on a Saturday. We put our names down online for a table, and we were next in line based on that list. We arrived and let our hostess know, and that we'd be seated momentarily. About a couple minutes later, one waitress told us to follow her to our table. We were beginning to sit down and a high chair was on the way, when another waitress, RUDELY told us that she was sorry, but we needed to WAIT for another table because two gentlemen were already waiting before us (allegedly). Meanwhile, there was another couple of tables already cleaned and ready. We were flabbergasted; here we are with a baby in a high chair and we put our names down and we were being told to leave the table. The waitresses were confused by each other and started to bicker. It was a little awkward and no one knew what the other was doing. Finally, minutes later, we sat down and our order was taken by a lovely waitress. Unfortunately, the food arrived and we were not fully satisfied. The pancakes tasted dry and not the freshest. Attended first watch for the first time for my daughter's birthday girls day out. It was busy but it seems with a reservation and we weren't able to sit altogether but across from us was a little better. Seemed like she lost interest pretty quick when she figured out I was dining alone and not getting a bunch of items. After my food was brought out, it was a little while before she came back to check. I did tell her that the egg on the sandwich was overcooked at that point. She offered to take it and get the correct one but I feel like honestly they should catch that before it comes out. Seems like they just figured I wouldn't say anything and she didn't seem genuine about having them remake it either. I also don't send back food which I should have just canceled. We arrived around 9:30 which is my best tip to avoid too long of a wait because this place packs up pretty quickly. With that said, we were rather quickly seated and chose outside since it was overcast and perfect for my post run dampness. We took a gander at the menu before arriving, so once our lovely, smiling waitress came over we already knew our choices. I'm a little torn on this review, but I'll lean toward the higher rating because I absolutely love First Watch and generally have a good experience. I joined the waitlist online and got in even before the estimated time, which was a pleasant surprise for 12:30pm on a Saturday during brunch rush. My husband's food came about 20-30 minutes after mine, and the waitress barely acknowledged it. Normally food comes out at the same time, but if not, at least a little sooner. 20-30 minutes apart is really excessive, to the point that it kind of ruined the experience. We had a hard time even getting our waitress's attention to ask her about it. When she brought the check, she did mention that she had taken it off of the bill, which was nice. This is my best location to visit. On Friday, I had my first bad experience. I was there with my family of two. If someone came in with 4 or more. They sat them down before us because we were only two. When we arrived, we were told it would be a fifteen-minute wait. Our wait time was 1 hour due to the seating issue. We are visiting family in Florida so decided to bring my wife to First Watch for the first time since she has never been. Terrible mistake. While I personally have had prior good experiences at other FW locations that was not the case at this location. Never in our lives have we been discriminated against at a restaurant. But after thoroughly looking back at what transpired we came to this conclusion. Yes discrimination that's what it was. We were seated outdoors and then basically were ignored. Other guests came after us and were immediately taken care of. Two waitresses pass us at least twice and ignored us. Finally, my wife decides to stop one of the waitresses. The waitress says "sure I can take your order". Then we see that others (who were seated well after us) were getting their food but not us. Finally, our waitress comes out with only my dish and says that there's a problem with my wife's food and that it has to be remade. My food was ice cold. My wife's food comes out about 10 minutes later. It was terrible/horrible. Then less than 5 minutes after serving my wife, the waitress comes out and informs us that that the manager is comping us for my wife's dish and presents a check. We're like thanks but at this point we telling each other that this is a real bad experience. I even said to my wife that I should say something to the manager. I swear that we were being heard because the manager does come out to apologize. She was very pleasant and was willing to hear us out. In our hearts we believe that she was genuine.
