I'm not sure why, but, I love the BLTs here. I mean it's just a sandwich, but, I crave it. The burgers are really good. Their ranch with fries, zucchini, or onion rings are all great. I'm not a fan of their hot dogs or chili though. They're not terrible, but they're never really good so I don't waste money on that anymore. Now, everyone comes here for the fried mushrooms. I personally hate mushrooms so I never order it, but, my husband loves em and everyone I've ever gotten them for have loved em too. If you're a mushroom loving person, give the fried mushrooms a try. read more

The food is great, however it's drive thru only. Thanks to Covid and our state government the minimum wage rate has destroyed this restaurant. The drive-through has the full menu, so don't be surprised for the longer wait time for new patrons to look through. I got onion rings and they were delightful. I, also, got the mushroom avocado burger and it was delightfully moist and didn't fall apart until the end of my eating it. The mushrooms were juicy, the avocado tasted fresh, and the patty was well cooked and thick. The proportions were perfect and everything felt and looked right with this burger. As well as the onion rings, which was crispy on the outside and sweet with fresh onion on the inside. I can't wait to come back and try more!! read more

Nick's in Redlands has the best food! My favorite are the zucchini. I am a connoisseur of fried zucchini and Nicks are the best hands down. My go to order is a patty melt combo with zucchini instead of fries. It is a nice place to eat, and the staff is wonderful. If you have not tried Nicks, go there now, and order the zucchini and order is huge. The ranch dressing dipping is bomb too! I always ask for two because I don't like running out of the sauce. If I get full, and can't finish my zucchini, just pop them in air fryer and enjoy all over again read more

Taste-wise, nicks burgers was pretty good. My boyfriend loves the place and has been coming here since he was a kid, and he wanted me to try it out. I ordered a lettuce wrapped avocado burger and he got the bacon cheeseburger. He was super pleased with his burger and fries, and my burger tasted great as well until I found a hair. Personally I am not the type to send food back or be too grossed out by this, but it was still a bit of a turn off. Thats the main reason why we are leaving 3 stars, but besides that it was a great place for us to drive thru for lunch. The service was quick as well which was a bonus. read more

Onion rings were hard and dry and cost over $5.00, Cheeseburgers were so thin you could read the newspaper through the meat...and also expensive. Hubby thought bacon cheeseburger was okay. Great food. Everything I've tried has been awesome!! Inside dining is available however they're so good it's always packed as well as the drive through. You'll want to wait in line no matter what it's worth it. The staff changes so it's hit or miss but usually they're very kind, courteous and helpful. Don't know what you want? The chicken dinner which has been our go-to plate was recently changed to where it does not include zucchinis and fries anymore and is now just served with 4 pieces of chicken and a side of soup at the same cost- wish they had told us about this change ahead of time or that there was a sign letting costumers know about this recent change. This wasn't the only downside of our recent visit. Our order took forever so after noticing that parties who walked in after us were already getting served we checked in w/ one of the ladies at the front and turns out that our order had been ready the entire time just never taken out. The food was cold but we were hungry and did not want to wait any longer so we just asked for the soup to be reheated. Before leaving, I asked for a container to take some leftover soup and after waiting for about 10 minutes just decided to leave it there. Customer service has gone from bad to worse since last time I was here. Not sure if I want to come back after this visit. I've noticed quite a few other negative costumer service experience reviews so perhaps Dick's Burgers would be a more fitting name. read more

Oh my what can I say about this place..... its so freaking amazing! At first I was scared esp after getting the bill. Then we came home and the first bite of onion ring and avacado burger sent me into deliciousness. The onion rings are crispy with a sweet onion, the burgers taste fresh with plenty of ripe avacado. The ranch was also very delicious now I see why 4 meals cost me 40 bucks. This will be our new bigger joint, so if you are looking for a place that does not dissapoint come check nicks out. UPDATE: Wow, I have to say I was more than a little disappointed in my recent experience at my beloved short-order Nick's! The place looks *excellent after a recent sprucing up and new menu boards, the food is as delicious as always, but the recent changes in staffing left an unfortunate bad impression on both me and my guests. I've visited twice now in as many weeks, and each time I experienced some very poor hospitality from the serving staff. The newest servers, mostly 20'ish young women, aren't flat out rude per se but they're so mechanical that they're bordering on cold indifference when serving customers. In both instances the cashiers and servers have had frozen, mannequin-like smiles, glassy eyed expressions that look through you instead of at you, and responded in chirpy but insincere voices to any questions or requests-you know the kind; whenThomson's says "Sir" or Ma'am" as a substitute for "A*****e" and "B***h". It's like the entire serving staff are now freshly ordered off the Stepford Inc assembly line. Very disappointing! I get it that their work is difficult and they're aiming for the fastest, most efficient service from counter to table, but if I wanted the fastest food I'd go to McDonald's instead of Nick's-I want a pleasant dining experience, not a NASCAR Pit Stop. Please review your serving staff's customer service training. Until then, I'm going to bring my guests elsewhere for a few months and then try again. Maybe. read more

Went through the drive-through at Nick's burgers, since they no longer open their dining room to customers. The car in front of me was at the window and must've been there for a good 10 minutes. There were four or five other cars in line and we waited and waited and waited. Finally, when it was my turn, I asked the redhead girl at the drive up window what took them so long. She said "oh they ordered something extra." I said so the rest of us have to suffer?" She said "awww it wasn't that bad." If it's going to take that long, have them pull to the side and let everyone else go through. I was ridiculous and thoughtless. Then when I left I said can I have my receipt? She said "oh, you, want a receipt?" I said yes. She said "we don't just hand them out." A customer has a right to receipt. You should at least offer them one. I won't be back. Oh, and it was $15 for a fish sandwich and some crappy onion rings. read more

I love Nick's food and the prices are very good. The egg sandwhich at $5 is one of the best values and consistently good. It's always cooked fresh and tastes great. My downgrade in review is based on cleanliness which has to be considered in my overall review, and mostly based on the current condition of the restrooms. Please consider a complete overhaul as they are dirty, stained and inexcusable. read more

Nick's has consistently good food at reasonable prices. This is the first business whose performance has prompted me to write a review with two updates. I have had some questionable experiences with other restaurants during the Covid crisis. I was at Nick's yesterday and found the food to be as good and reasonably priced as always. Only drive-through was available but service was prompt and friendly, as always. As I mentioned in a previous review, we don't live in Redlands but try to go to Nick's whenever possible. read more

I would give this place a 4.5 stars but ever since Covid, they are not the same. What I mean is, that the food is great & plenty of quality & quantity - zucchini fries are the best. There breakfast are super yummy, especially the veggie burrito & the country fried steak & eggs with gravy. But my issue is they are no longer open for dine in & are aren't always open. I miss the ambience of the dinner feel & how nice & friendly the staff was. I'm glad that the owner (at least I think he is) is still around to greet you with a smile when I pull up to the drive thru, he's always so friendly. I still remember the 1st I went to Nick's(20 years ago), how kind & nice he was to the kids(pathfinders) that we had taken there as treat. I miss the old days.
