The "we're understaffed" excuse has gotten old. What is it? Is the government paying people to not be appropriately staffed? I don't know how these businesses are staying open when they're literally getting half of the business they were before. The dining room is never open. You only have 2 people working at times. The person taking orders from the drive through and the cook. Really? No one wants to work? Or did you just lay off all of your employees. Rainy Saturday 1/20/24 decided to try Nick's for a burger & onion rings. So it was a cheeseburger jr.and was asked if I wanted ranch dressing for my onion rings (which is a separate cost...69 cents). I didn't mind because it was pretty thick and creamy. So I paid with my debit card and noticed she didn't hand me a receipt when she gave me back my card. I then asked "my receipt??" Lady tells me "we only give receipts if you ask for it". Which I detected a tone in her voice; then she keyed in on her register for a printout receipt. I was really puzzled by this establishment not to automatically give you a receipt. The food was good but come on order window employee it's a no brainer...customers shouldn't have to ask for a receipt. Always ask for a receipt in case there is a discrepancy. read more

Have been coming to Nick's burgers since I was a kid and their food is Always amazing!! Today particularly I think I had the BEST bacon cheeseburger ever in my life! I had to call and tell them it was so good and to tell the chef! Quality has always been superb at Nick's Burgers and portion as well. We Love their breakfast burritos and salsa too! People have been complaining about their hours and being closed on Sundays..... This establishment needs to stay open folks! We are long-time loyal customers. We are sad that the dining are continues to be closed. So we used the drive thru and ordered 2 meals. However, we were only charged and given half of each order - somewhere there was a mixup. We got to the window and the cashier was confused since he did not take the order but he kept calm even though I was very upset. He placed the order immediately for the missing items and had us pull to the front. The rest of the order was prepared in just a few minutes. I got home and called the restaurant back and apologized to Steve since I had become upset. Steve accepted my apology gracefully. Overall, even with the mixup, the food continues to be great and filling. The employees handled it all well, which is why I felt compelled to call and apologized for being upset over the mixed up order. I recommend and encourage all to try the zucchini and say Hi to Steve as he will take care of you even under stress. read more

The food is delicious. My family and I love picking up Nicks a few times a month. We do the drive-thru option and eat in our car. Today we did that and while passing the food out to the kids we noticed one item was missing. We called into the restaurant and I explained that our zucchini was not in our bag of food. The gentlemen informed me that there wasn't an extra fried zucchini laying around. I was like what does that mean? Ok. But I'm telling you that we didn't get our item. He preceded to tell me again that he didn't have an extra zucchini laying around. Really SIR!?!! I'm annoyed with this person. I don't appreciate the way he handled it. I don't care if you don't have an extra zucchini laying around? I don't know what to tell you but the fried zucchini is not in my bag and yes we where charged for it. Horrible customer service the speaker wasn't even really working it muffled half the way through. And I ordered a kids meal and she said they had sodas for the kids like Diet Coke and Dr Pepper she said they ran out of apple juice and all they had were sodas. They refused to give me a alternative to the apple juice and Orange juice was on the menu and still refused they would not even give me bottled water. Ordered an Avocado burger and a Cheese Burger. Avocado burger came with all the trimmings. Sadly the Cheese Burger consisted of a hamburger patty, cheese, Thousand island sauce, and the buns. Where are my lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes ? Never had I paid $5.50 for such a naked burger ! Apparently, you have to request those items ?? Buyers beware when ordering a Cheese Burger. This is a place you go to when you want a Mom & Pop style burger or food and that special homestyle ranch dressing that you can't get just anywhere. I come here often on my lunch break because I love getting chili and the chefs salad. They also offer a small green salad for $3.29 which I think is great. Most places have nasty dry wilted lettuce but not NICKS! Their lettuce on the salads is always crisp and fresh. read more

Being generous and giving it a two stars. You can thank the rude older lady with the who takes the drive through orders. My mom asked me to ask a question about the burgers, she's an older lady who doesn't speak much English. The response I got from the drive through woman was absolute trash, and spoke to us as of we were idiots. She was so condescending and sarcastic I felt bad that my mom was there to hear it. Is it really that hard to answer with a simple yes or no without being so extra? This lady really went on a limb here to be demeaning. I work in a fast paced well known restaurant, and let me tell you, you shouldn't be working there if you are unable to behave in a decent manner to your customers. Been to this burger place a few times just never reviewed it or checked in. Last few times I've been here it was only for breakfast. The hubby and I we were in the neighborhood and decided to go eat here. I had mentioned to him that their breakfast is pretty good. So he said let's go. This time we ordered 2 hamburger specials and 1 side of thousand island. The hamburgers were really good plus I like that they use shredded lettuce instead the lettuce leaf which sometimes is too much. It also comes with a ton of fries. The fries are super crispy and piping hot. The only thing I really wasn't fond of was their thousand island dressing. The burger place interior was is kept so clean. A huge plus you don't have to pick up your plates they pick then up for you. I definitely recommend this burger place. It is a bit pricey but worth it.
