In the three years that I've lived in the Bay Area, my recent jaunt to Nick's Cove might be my favorite experience yet. Situated right on the calm, content waters of Tomales Bay, Nick's is a destination where you can disconnect from the hectic day-to-day nature of our tech-riddled bubble and realign yourself with mind, spirit, and nature. It's quite funny -- my divine mandate and I were rushing to get to Nick's after a full day of work in the city. We hopped in the world's first hybrid sports car and started the 1.5 hour trek to Marshall. Along the way, we lost all cell phone reception, and nearly had a conniption fit. Being without access to Google Maps or Grindr for more than 35 seconds seemed about as tragic a scenario as being buried alive, so when we finally arrived for dinner, we were brimming with way too much nervous energy and were instructed by the wait staff to grab a glass of wine and take a walk down the pier to cool our jets. That's the kind of place Nick's Cove is. There's no room for stress around these parts. After strutting to the end of the gangway that extends into the bay just off Hog Island, a stunning array of piquant foodstuffs stared us straight in the kisser. If I had to guess, I'd say we tried everything on the menu: + Deviled duck eggs with house-made mustard and duck confit + Seared Dayboat scallops with marinated chioggia beets + Béchamel baked clams in crispy pancetta + Dungeness crab mac 'n' cheese smothered in Gruyere, Spring Hill cheddar, and Parmiggiano -- perhaps one of the greatest combinations in recent memory! + Truffled garlic fries + Dungeness crab cakes with smoked paprika aioli atop arugula fennel salad ... and that was just for starters... Entree time! + Wood-fired filet of beef with eggplant puree, fennel, and balsamic reduction + Roasted organic Petaluma chicken alongside wild mushroom risotto and porcini demi + Champagne steamed mussels with chorizo, jalapeño, and cilantro Of course, that not being enough food, we had to get dessert... + The "Salty Dog" with brulee'd gin soaked ruby grapefruit + Almond Torte with with strawberries and whipped clover cream It goes without saying that the experience and taste profiles listed above were as good, if not better, than they sound on paper. Mind you all of this took place in a casual environment with amazing energy overlooking a dark, cloudless night sky with copious amounts of wine and great conversations. I'm not sure life gets much better than that. The story could have ended there, but we took the full plunge and decided to kick up our feet and stay awhile. Just steps from the restaurant lay a handful of newly renovated cottages ripe for a weekend getaway. We were situated in "Ruthie's Room" with a cozy wooden cabin vibe, complete with a private patio and Adirondack chairs perfect for a morning cup of coffee alongside the daily paper or the latest Kindle download, with the actual Hog Island sitting idly off in the distance. It was almost hard to believe that we were only 90 minutes away from San Francisco. If you'd have laced my drink with arsenic and I woke up woozily in this friendly oyster farming village, I'd have thought I was somewhere in the depths of Europe, far away from the 415 area code. If you're burnt on the hustle and bustle in the concrete jungle, a quick 24-48 hour jaunt to this lovely Highway 1 hideaway might be just what the doctor ordered. It's, without a doubt, a truly memorable experience that I'll long for once I find myself living hundreds of miles away in the not-too-distant future. Insert sad face here. read more

I'm somewhere between 3-4 stars for my lunch today. For starters, the hostess who seemed uncomfortable in her position, wanted to seat me in the older looking dining room - the room you initially enter into, with the bar. It's darker, has less of a view and just looks more dated. So I requested to sit in the other room, where she had just sat the person before me. She made it seem like it was an issue, sighing and referring to her book (mind you, there were about 4 tables total occupied on a Tuesday). I understand that waitstaff might have rooms assigned and you may be trying to alternate tables to be "fair" but just figure it out "behind the scenes" and happily accommodate the customer! It's not as if there was a restaurant full of reservations!! Next, I ordered a half dozen oysters and did not know until they arrived that they are not all local?! Why on EARTH would I come to Tomales Bay for oysters from Baja?! This ought to be made more clear on the menu. That was a huge disappointment. My salad & crab cakes were delicious, beautifully presented. I might even say the crab cakes were the best I've had. But I just sensed a weird vibe and the waiter I had was just OK. I had to wait about 12-15min between my oysters and salad, which was crazy, given there was hardly anyone there... and it's a SALAD. We live locally and have been enjoying Nick's Cove for the last 15 years. Many changes along the way, but always a good meal. We have accepted the a la carte pandemic change because the food was always worth it. Last night, 4 of us spent about $100 each for a drink and dinner. We all left hungry. The fish tacos used to be a look forward to go-to, were terrible. scant dry white fish with scant cabbage etc, but abundant "sauce". The oysters were tiny and we had no way of knowing where they came from. the mussels and clams had about 6 of each, with 2 very thin slices of toasted bread. I went back out and waited in an unattended line for about 30 minutes to order a cheese plate for the table given that we were all still hungry. Watched a large group of people just help themselves to the front of the line, one saw an acquaintance. Waited another 30 minutes for said cheese plate, again having no idea what the 3 cheese cubes were. did include a few almonds, cranberries, 3 slices of thin meat, and 3 1"x6" crackers. You're busy so I'll cut to the chase. Nicks is a curious mix of casual roadhouse, priced like an expensive city restaurant. The location is priceless but the food is just pricey. It didn't seem good enough to be this expensive. The location is gorgeous, right on pristine Tomales bay. The room is intentionally road-house-like in an upscale way. The staff is great, friendly. Lots of fresh warm bread and butter is a nice start. You'll need the bread and butter because there's a lot of waiting for food. Tomato soup: $9. For a bowl of soup. It was good soup, but not exceptional. The trouble is, you can get good soup 20 minutes south at the Station House Cafe for $5. I'm not sure why this soup is twice as expensive as it's not twice as good. Crab cakes: $15. three tiny ones, literally the size of a quarter. No exaggeration. About 1" high. On a tiny dab of what seems to be ordinary mao. They are nice and crispy, and have a slight crab taste but nothing else. We deemed them "bland." Entrees: OK, so the very best entree was from the kid's menu, the grilled cheese sandwich. It was on thick brioche with wonderful cheese. It was light, not greasy, and came with an actual bucket of very good fries. I didn't get to see the children's menu, so I don't know the price of this. We had the Salmon, which was a decent size piecethat was "very good." It was $23. I had the Fish 'n Chips which were $20. Large piece of fish, delicate, lightly battered on top of a mound of good if not hot fries. Good, but not something I'd go out of my way for. Dessert: all $8. Berry pudding was good but very small. Chocolate cake was large, had great Nutella frosting but was dry. The menu itself is so poorly designed I was surprised this came from the famous Pat Kuleto. It uses a funky typeface that doesn't reflect the ambiance, and it's set in such a way that everybody missed the specials, and half of our party mis-read the dessert menu thinking that the wine prices were the dessert prices. It's just bad design. If you're here at the edge of nowhere, want to eat on the bay and you have enough credit on your card and don't mind blowing it on a good but not great meal, then Nick's is a nice place to go. If, however, you want an exceptional meal in this area, for a lot less money, there are other choices. They aren't right on the bay, but they're nice. The aforementioned Station House Cafe in Point Reyes which has itself gotten more expensive lately is still a bargain compared to Nick's. The Chinese Chuckwagon in Point Reyes has wonderful Chinese food at very reasonable prices (you just have to eat it outside, which is actually a bonus in this lovely area). I've heard it's better for lunch and will give it a try. I probably won't go back for dinner... unless someone else is paying. read more

Lackluster service, coupled with uninspiring fare, meager servings, and rather pricey entree for what you get. The $21 crab roll was a small amount of crab made up like tuna salad with mayonnaise & celery served in a split oblong bun with a large number of fries. The bread had the consistency of a prepackaged hot dog bun...not very edible. The server kept asking if we wanted to order drinks, but neglected our water glasses for most of the meal. (There are not too many competing restaurants out here, so I suppose they really don't have much incentive to change.) I doubt whether I could be enticed to stop here in the future. Nick's Cove is on the Tomales Bay coast line. They have indoor and outdoor seating, with fantastic views. The menu features fresh, local seafood, albeit a bit on the pricier side. We came here for my birthday because all the oyster farms were closed, and thankfully after a long drive up, Nick's Cove was open. Our meal was delicious. We shared the bacon BBQ oysters, mussels and a wild mushroom salad, which was actually the star of the whole meal, although everything was great. People were SUPER nice. The lunch menu could use more items on it. Being a seaside location, was expecting a much broader selection. The oysters were just ok, not what I would expect from a location so close to the source. The fish in the fish and chips was more batter than cod. The wine list was long, too bad we don't drink or we could have gotten our nutrition from the grapes. Wife really liked the Mac and cheese with crab meat addition. Guys seriously, it was tasty but a bit more crab meat would be nice. Location was great, would go there again for the location even if I have to eat at McDonalds on the way. read more

The gentleman congratulated us and said he'd make sure to note that by our reservation. Upon arrival, friendly greeting , our choice of window side tables to watch the sunset as we ate and two complimentary glasses of champagne while are table was prepared. Great view! We drove up to Tony's Seafood on July 2 from Pt Reyes Station, only to discover that it's only open Fri-Sun. We continued north hoping to find somewhere to eat and came across Nick's Cove, which was having its grand opening that evening. Although the tables were fully booked, the hostess managed to find room at the bar for us. We ordered a calamari appetizer, fish and chips, and the grilled salmon sandwich. The calamari was done just right - crispy on the outside, not rubbery on the inside. The fish was crispy on the exterior and moist inside, and the fries were superb. The grilled salmon sandwich was flavored with an excellent pesto. Overall we were very pleased with the food. The bar tender was very nice (we got a good mojito) and the service was quite prompt given how busy it was. If it were in SF, I'd probably give it 4 stars, because the food, while very good, is not very unique or creative (or an outstanding value). But given that it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere, I give it 5 stars. read more

After spending a warm autumn day on the Sonoma Coast, my girlfriend and I enjoyed an evening meal at Nick's Cove. I had made reservations; however, on a Monday night, it appeared there was available seating for those who arrive impromptu. I inderstand this is not so on thr weekends, so beware. We began the evening with wine from the bar. They have a nice variety of both reds and whites. After the wine, we were seated at a window table that overlooked Tomales Bay. Though Tomales is famous for oysters, we choose the cheese tray as an appetizer. The cheeses were all delicious. I was a little disappointed in the bread crisps, as they were difficult to break and ended up shattering. Our entrees included the caper, dill salmon and the paella. Both were delicious, however, the paella, made with saffron rice, stole the show. The evening ended with a second glass of Markham Merlot and a romantic sunset stroll to the boathouse. Nick's Cove came highly recommended to us. I too would highly recommend this restaurant with it's lodge decor. The menu is ample. 4-star on the yelp scale. The ambience is near 5-star, especially at sunset. In reading other post, a problem with flies were sited. Yes, there were flies in the dining area which degrades the overall rating. read more

We stayed here in Fly Fisherman for the weekend. Amazing room: cozy fireplace, tons of space, comfy bed, lovely decor. Nice amenities: stocked fridge, snack mix, bath salts for the big bath tub. Love the dock setting, boat house, Xmas decorations, and was so sad to hear the fish below the Nick's Cove sign was stolen. Breakfast delivered each morning was delicious. Ordered eggs and bacon and enjoyed the complimentary lemon scones and coffee. High quality bacon and eggs. For east coasters and people who want to start their day early, the 8:00-8:30 breakfast time is a little late. Consider pushing first breakfast time to 7:00. The only disappointment was the dinner menu at the restaurant. I found the menu options disappointing, lackluster, and unappealing. Ordered the octopus, which was undercooked and chewy. Had to send it back. Waiter was responsive and apologetic. Roasted broccoli dish was raw. Squash bisque was mediocre. Oysters were good. Nice wine selection. Next night tried the lobster poutine and sister had Mac and cheese both were filling and tasty but a little salty. The lunch menu looked a lot better that the dinner menu. Should consider overhauling the menu. Third night we went elsewhere, which was disappointing because one if the nice things about staying at Nick's is having a restaurant. This review is for both the restaurant and lodging... First, the food... While I enjoyed my Bloody Mary, the Pond Jumper was by far my favorite: Cucumber vodka, Pimms and then I can't recall if it was watermelon or strawberry, but it was very refreshing and I'd order that every time!! The BBQ oysters were delicious (my family tried to see if they sell the sauce separately) but my halibut was underwhelming, lacking much flavor and my brother found his pork to be too sweet. Coffee... I am anti-coffee but felt compelled to order it one evening, and it was delicious! Again, while the food was not disappointing, it wasn't a "must stop" location while traveling the coast in terms of cost to taste. Lodging: We stayed in Bandits Bungalow and the view is obviously gorgeous as your room is right over the water when the tide is high. If you are looking for luxury, keep on driving. It's a rustic feel but you should realize you are paying for the view and the experience in places like this. The customer service was great and the gentlemen that delivered our breakfast each morning were very nice. I would give 3.5 stars. Nick's is the epitome of a "hidden gem". You stumble upon it as you're driving down scenic Hwy 1, and once you step inside you won't want to leave. Rustic, yet sophisticated, Nick's is one of those places you can go for both a casual afternoon beer or a special occasion dinner. The menu is a pescetarian's delight, and the wine offerings come in a book, not a list. They've got a large selection of wines, mostly local, but both times I've brought my own bottle and they waived the corkage fee (once for a birthday, the other time because we shared some Zin with our waitress) The staff are great -- very relaxed, without missing a beat on service. Despite the fact that the prices are a bit steep, you'll definitely get your money's worth for the entire package -- ambience, service, quality. Thus, I only bring my favorite people to Nick's. In the afternoon, grab a drink at the bar and walk out to the end of the pier to watch the sunset. At night, you can cozy up by the fire and have a leisurely oyster feast. It's a good thing they have cottages next door to crash at, because the drive home can be a bit treacherous after an intoxicating evening of wine and seafood. Food is overpriced (of course it is, it's on the water), but the counter service change seems incredibly lazy. You pay for your food when you place your order and are expected to leave a tip at that point, as well. Considering the six trips it took me to gather our drinks, water, and food, it begs the question what is the correct tip for mediocre, overpriced food when I am the one doing all the work. Employees standing around just pointing you to your next task. Do they really expect you to enjoy yourself like this? We've been coming here for years, but sadly won't be returning until I read about actual improvements. Thankfully many better options surround. Happy shucking! read more

Strawberry salad was wonderful the strawberries were nice, fresh and the dressing paired nicely with the fruit. Clam chowder was hearty! The halibut was damn good specially with the delicious asparagus soup dressing!!!! We all shared the smores for dessert ( do wish there was an option for milk chocolate instead of dark) so good and all homemade. Oysters!!! A must try when you come The view is beautiful . Had an amazing stay here! And even if you're not staying here - this place is definitely worth the stop! Grab a drink (I love the Back Nine) and wander down to the boat shack, where you can keep warm by the fire, cook s'mores and play some tunes - and enjoy the 360 degree views! We had arranged beforehand that a vegan meal would be possible and they were understanding and very much willing to accommodate us. And we had an amazing dinner! We stayed in Big Rock which was on the end and is known for it's throne like toilet and big copper tub, yes! The entire place has so much character and is unique and fun! All the staff is very friendly and helpful. And can't beat the location and views, no complaints here! I highly recommend this place! And plan on visiting again! read more

We dropped in here before Ruggy's last YEE, where left left us for the wide open yonder. Also known as not San Francisco. :D Our service was fantastic as were our jalapeno mussels with champagne. OMG incredible. But my clam chowder was very meh. Talk about missing the mark with your basic seafood starter. The ambiance is slightly touristy with a huge sigh of relaxation thrown in but on busy nights it's a bit too loud to be enjoyable. Their price is also just on the edge of too expensive to stop in for the amount you get, but beyond my bland chowder our food was fantastic. We stopped by here after spending a day of kayaking. Overall, I thought this place was okay. I had the Fish & Chips and these weren't fantastic...not bad, but not great either. The fries actually arrived cold, but our friendly server quickly changed them out for a fresher batch and I really appreciated that. The Mac & Cheese with Lobster was alright...missing some salt or a salty cheese blend. Maybe the shellfish are better options since others seem to really like those. read more

We parked across the street in their parking lot. They have a pier they invite you to walk on right outside the restaurant. It's a nice place. Fitting for it's location. Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat by a window inside. They can drop the window shade to get you out of direct sunlight. Pricey. We liked everything we had so there was no griping about the price. We also had great service by Bernell.. At least I'm going off the name on the receipt. We kept seeing Nick's Cove for a recommended place to eat for this area and it didn't disappoint. This is a review of the restaurant only. Their batter fried fish (fish and chips) was the best batter fried fish I've eaten by good measure. Unfortunately it was served up with industrial/prefab style fries and coleslaw that tasted like oily wood shaving (OK, maybe not that bad, but I really wish they'd just leave the coleslaw off the menu). The poke bowl I got had good, fresh, properly prepared tuna, but the rice was undercooked, they had dumped probably a shot glass full of soy sauce on the rice, the cut up cucumber with it was OK, but it was in big, awkward chunks and the purpose of the red sauce that was pour over all of it was beyond me. As far as I could tell, it had no taste. According to my spouse, on a scale of one to ten, the house coffee was an eight. My suggestion: It's a good place to stop for coffee and fried fish, but anything else on the menu should be suspect. read more

I was recently back at Nick's for happy hour and the $3 Lagunitas pints and $1 Drakes Bay oysters were amazing. Their menu has been updated and looks great. They also have locals nights on Tuesday with bands. On locals night you also get their burger, beer and BBQ oysters special that is no longer on the menu. This is my favorite local restaurant for dinner and drinks. Staff and service are friendly and the food is excellent. read more

My wife and I have been going to Nick's Cove's restaurant for years and have loved it thru it's various phases. It has been a fancy restaurant with great food, wines, and staff while also being a community gathering place with good burgers and drinks. Then it became more casual with more modest food, but the great setting and ambience kept us coming back. Covid was really hard on everyone and when they finally re-opened we would nervously find the most distant outdoor tables to sit at and enjoy some much more casual bites. But with the new routine, having to order in front and having to stand around waiting for it to be ready while trying to hold the table you had waited for and claimed out back it became a lot less fun. The last straw in their race to the bottom was to decide to serve anything they could on their new shiny metal trays .They looked great, but there is nothing that can draw heat away from food better than full contact with metal, and In the time it takes till you pick it up and get back to your table your fish and chips (the few they give you ) are just lukewarm. The cool temperatures out there make it even worse. So the question we ask ourselves... "Even with the great views and ambience, is it worth $100 to have a chilled only moderately good lunch for 2 with no attempt to serve or allow for any needs of their customers on a not frequently cleaned picnic table, and where if you forget to bring or order anything you have to stand in line again while your food is getting even colder?" I have spoken with them on a couple of occasions, suggesting even putting food on paper plates or fiberglass trays, or letting me supply some plastic plates, but they are adamant that this is the way they want to do it and it they way they plan to keep it. It may work for them given the scarcity of good options on the shore, but it really is a shame. read more

We came here out of desperation when we saw that Hog Island was closed (5 pm). Otherwise, I don't like paying more than $1 for oysters I shuck myself. We got sixteen, from Drakes Bay, at $2 apiece. They weren't particularly big, but briny to give a fresh taste. I'm not sure why it took thirty minutes for them to bring out oysters that they weren't shucking (and didn't really clean for us), but it did. At least the staff was friendly and chatty while we were waiting - and I spotted a pretty nice selection of liquors (read: scotch besides the usual Glenlivet/fiddich). They sure know how to capitalize on the great location, restricting parking to lodging or dine-in customers only with a majority of it being valet. Almost every seat in the restaurant offered a great view of the bay, and I overheard some people staying there talking about an outdoor firepit on the dock if you were so inclined to dine outside. This review is for the restaurant. So I think this place is deceptive. The exterior hides just how nice the restaurant really is on the inside. The menu for this place really focuses on their seafood. They have raw oysters on the half shell (4 types) as well as roasted/bbq oysters. Nick's cove also serves salads, fish and chips, hot dogs and a variety of grilled fish. I ordered the fried clams and 1/2 dozen oysters grilled in garlic butter. So first, they gave us some focaccia and butter. It was almost alright. The bread was a cold and bit hard/chewy, but flavorful. Then we asked for more and they gave us freshly made focaccia. It was so much softer. So much warmer. So much better. Then the lady dropped off the fried clams with lemon aoli. Some of the best fried clams I've ever had because it was crispy but not greasy and you can tell the clams were fresh. I just wish they gave me lemon wedges. Then the oysters came. They were 6 oysters on the half shell, grilled with garlic butter and served with a slice of boston brown bread. I loved the oysters because again, you can tell it was fresh. They didn't over cook the oysters either. I just wasn't too fond of the boston brown bread though because it was rather charred on the bottom. The atmosphere inside was rather good. Tables were covered with white cloth. Deer heads lined the walls. It was a combination of class and old time feel. But, i recommend outdoor seating (weather permitting). The experience is so much more enjoyable as you have a nice view of the surrounding environment. And, every breeze that passes through is like a reminder that you are away from worries and troubles. It's just so relaxing. The service is also great. They checked to see how we were doing. They refilled our drinks in a timely manner. Service with a smile. In short: the seafood is wonderful and fresh, the service is great, the atmosphere is enjoyable, the price is rather high but the food and experience is worth it. My buddy took me here last night for a 40th birthday present and we had a great time. First off, I saw that another reviewer said you could only have valet parking. Maybe he came on the weekend. We went on a Monday night and there was parking in another one of Nick's parking lots straight across the street, a 30 second walk. We loved all the vintage relics- old phone booth, truck, boat parts, deer on the wall, etc. We found the hostess, wait staff, and bus-woman to all be very polite and friendly. We started off with the oysters, they were wonderful. Totally fresh. As an appetizer, my friend had the Louie, which for some reason we thought shrimp was in the descriptor, but it was crab, but it was delicious nonetheless. My friend said she doesn't even like crab and she loved it. For my appetizer, I had the clam chowder, which had applewood smoked bacon, and was one of the more complex chowders I've had. It wasn't overly creamy, and I loved it. Then, I ordered the skirt steak, which came with cilantro, but I have an extreme hatred of cilantro (supposedly a genetic thing if it tastes strongly of soap, and it does to my mom and I). I ordered mine medium rare, and it was cooked correctly, it was savory and came with some sort of citrusy buttery sauce. After that, we had dessert. My friend had a brownie that was crispy on the outside but more doughy on the inside and ice cream. I had a hot chocolate espresso cake with ice cream and hazelnut. It was decadent. After dinner we took a walk on the boat dock, and talked about some day coming up for the cabins (we didn't spend the night, but should have due to food coma!). Great location...Nope on the food. Two stars are purely for the location. It is so beautiful with the chop from Tomales Bay lapping. Menu is very, very limited which might make you think that they could do a spectacular job cooking a few items...Nope! I was disappointed. Service was okay...not great. Rating should be 3.5 and doesn't deserve a solid 4 but I'm rounding up because the food has gotten better since the last time we dined here. But if I was rating for value it would definitely be a 2 star review. The best thing going here is the $1.50 happy hour oysters. We ate two nights here with mixed results. We tried the clam chowder and it should have been called potato chowder. The kale salad was excellent and big enough to share. The panzanella was good but small. The ahi was very good but sliced paper thin. The crab cakes were terrible; they were filled with bread crumbs and mushy. The Brussel sprouts were barely cooked and had no flavor. They must have thrown them on a hot grill then sent them out to our table. Large plates of salmon cooked to perfection and paella was good. read more

MUST GET the Original Tomales Bay BBQ'D Oyster!! Half a dozen fresh oysters that's BBQed to perfection...never overdone. It's made in their specialty BBQ sauce and garlic-parsley butter, which ironically makes for the perfect combination of savory but not overbearing. Even though I went with a friend, I didn't even bother sharing... I pretty much hoarded the whole plate! I could sip on its juices like soup! At $16, it's still on the pricier end, but that's usually what you get when you're within Marin. Original BBQ Oyster: 5/5 We went on a cold cold day, so got the Hot & Foggy beverage, which the menu described as "tuaca, hanger one spiced pear vodka, clove, orange." I never thought warm vodka was a good idea, and really, it STILL isn't. Although, it gave off a tasty, fresh pear aroma, the taste was the exact opposite- strong and pungent! Oh and REFRAIN from taking a huge whiff of the Hot & Foggy when sticking your nose in while you drink. It's exactly like taking a whiff of rubbing alcohol! Still, I felt the presentation was very unique. The drink came in a snifter glass, which is kept warm by laying it on top of glass of hot water. Pretty creative if you ask me. Hot & Foggy: 2/5 I definitely recommend their clam chowder. Clam chowder is one of those dishes that's hard to screw up, so if you really screw up...then you REALLY REALLY can't cook. But it's also one of those dishes that's quite difficult to perfect. To make a truly excellent clam chowder takes skill. I'd call it the clam chowder bell-curve, and Nick's Cove does a great job of beating the curve and hitting the 90th percentile. I loved it! Clam chowder: 5/5. I liked how the menu starts out with a little history on the front page, and I certainly loved the water-front ambiance. Their little fireplace is cute too. The only reason I would give this place a 3/5 instead of a 4/5 is its location right in the boonies of nowhere! Although one could argue that it's a nice get-away stop that's conveniently located right off Hwy 1, but the pricing is actually quite high considering that its outside lot and building looks like an old lodge. This place is great! Located right along the beach, the view here is amazing if you've got a window table. Got here on a Monday night, it was a busy one. We sat at the bar and received great attentive service. We looked through the menu and saw some yummy sounding oysters. They did not disappoint!
