Cheese Pizza

Just stopped by for a slice as I was in that part of town for work. Despite it being busy staff was very friendly. Pizza was above average and reasonably priced. Not anything I would go out of my way for, but when in the area worth a stop!

I really hate leaving low scores for local restaurants, especially when I used to really enjoy when I worked in the area. Alas... I have to leave this review to call them out on the things that aren't cool. The first thing that knocked the star off right away it's freaking charge in a service charge. Yes times are tough but come on that's why you sell foods, they pay the bills... Tacking on a few percent milk a little more money is not cool. This is obviously being done because if they raise the price of the food they have to pay for the displays to be changed. The second issue that I had is that their bathroom isn't really handicap accessible. They may think it is with the two metal bars, but the sink vanity they have... Well see what happens with a wheelchair and a sink vanity. Also the spacing on the toilet as well. Lastly, I just didn't enjoy my pizza like I used to. It was very old when I came in and we all know how to tell what all pizza looks like. No amount of oven reheating will fix that. The flavors just weren't there at all, but I'm assuming that's because it was old. Sadly, I don't think I'll come back anymore.

We ordered delivery from here to our hotel. We called around 8:30 and they said 45 minutes, but it took about an hour for it to be delivered. It was around $16 for a two topping 14-inch pizza. It was pretty greasy (but what pizza isn't?), a bit too salty and the dough was a little hard to rip. All in all, it was a fine pizza, especially after driving and only eating fried fast food for the past two days s

Have only ever had their pizza but it's always good. In my opinion, they're best by the slice, nicely crispy and thin as pizza should be.

Is this place still open, every time I try and call the phone just rings and no none answers?

Yes they are still open. Very busy at lunchtime so depending on when you call that could be the reason.

There is nothing to be found wrong about this restaurant. I've heard nothing but good reviews and…read morefinally had a chance to check the place out. It would've helped if we checked the dining hours. Got there 15 minutes ahead of opening, which was fine. Sat down in a nice open-aired dining room, Clean, airy, white table cloth. The place filled up quickly. Our server Rachel was quick to come over with a warm invite, water, and brought bread, butter, and oil. If you like Italian food, this is a place you should hit up. Huge variety of dishes, including a wide array of appetizers, soups, and sides. I'm a huge fan of eggplant so couldn't resist. Our service said it was excellent. She was right. It comes one of two ways in that you can get it as a dinner or à la cart. I went with à la cart which included a house salad and a side dish of pasta. Saw Utica greens on the appetizers and couldn't resist. They were fantastic. You can get them mild medium or hot. Medium it was. Strongly recommend these if you are a fan of Utica greens. Prepared to perfection. As the eggplant approached the table I was impressed how large of a serving it was. So big I couldn't eat the whole thing. The eggplant was outstanding. It was thinly sliced. It melts in your mouth. It's smothered in their red marinara sauce. The sauce is on the sweet side, which is how I prefer. Excellent! With the à la cart meal, you get a choice of a side dish. Being a big fan of Angel hair pasta, the decision was an easy one. About the side salad, it's a good size salad to accompany your dinner. A lot of fresh veggies, carrots, red cabbage, tomatoes, and olives. A sign of a good restaurant is one you'll go back to. We will be back.

This is definitely a three star Italian restaurant. Yes,…read moreit's very popular and they do some things well, but there's a lot of room for improvement here. The portions are quite large, but the prices are a bit high as well. Recipes seem to be mostly homemade though the salad dressings seemed like they came from large plastic containers. Meatball flavor seemed a bit off to me. Just didn't like it and their sauce was just OK. Pasta was fine..basic bread on the table. Definitely nothing special. The house Italian dressing comes with balsamic vinaigrette. We had a family of 10 and many dishes were ordered from broiled halibut to fettuccine Alfredo, to prime rib, to chopped sirloin, to pork chop Milanese. The Milanese pork chop was definitely the big hit. My dad ordered a steak medium rare and of course they served it well done. Service was about a B. We had to wait quite a while to be asked what we wanted for dessert. Not sure if they have wifi or not. Parking llot out front was full. Staff was friendly.

We went during the week so it was a quiet afternoon and we were seated immediately. We started off with a bottle of cab and their fried gnocchi and meatballs for appetizers. Wasn't able to get a picture of them as we dug in very quickly. They were both delicious and the marinara they use for sides is very flavorful and smooth. My boyfriend got the lasagna and I got the chicken cutlets with a side of pasta with their diavolina (spicy pink sauce). Both were fantastic and I loved the diavolina sauce, just the right amount spicy and very creamy. It went great with the chicken cutlets which were the perfect crisp. The owner actually came out to check on us throughout our dinner which was a nice surprise and was great to meet him. Love to see new restaurants on Westcott and look forward to trying other items on our next visit.

A little advice, try to make reservations before 7 PM because the restaurant gets very crowded later in the evening. Our waiter was outstanding: bubbly, attentive, and made the whole dinner even more enjoyable. The ambiance was vibrant and lively, perfect for celebrating after graduation weekend. I do recommend going to an earlier dinner there, as it gets very busy after 6:30. The service was lovely, very timely and I never felt rushed. Our server was very informative about the menu and answered every question I had. After ordering drinks our server let us place our appetizer order and informed us that after we were done with the app, they would start dinner for us. We got the bang bang calamari as an appetizer. Cooked beautifully. The calamari was not rubbery and the breading was crispy. Well seasoned and not overly spicy. Soups and salads were brought promptly after the appetizer. We never had a crowded table, very lovely service. I got the side Cesar salad and my partner got the Italian wedding soup. The salad wasn't a plain Cesar salad, it came with red peppers and olives. The soup was hot and tasted lovely. We used the bread that came with a tomato sauce in the soup as well, good combo. For dinner I enjoyed a filet mignon topped with garlic butter, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and added 3 scallops. The filet was cooked perfectly! Very tender and melted in my mouth. Scallops were cooked beautifully as well. Everything was seasoned to perfection. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate lava cake topped with a raspberry ice cream and chocolate drizzle. The chocolate lava cake wasn't very lava-y however, that didn't ruin my experience. I was weary of the raspberry ice cream, as I usually don't get a fruity ice cream. But it was very pleasant, the raspberry wasn't overwhelming and complemented the chocolate cake. Highly recommend Francesca's always! And I'm excited for the summer when they open outdoor dining again. All in all, I enjoyed my time. But I must add this restaurant is priceyyy. But hey, you get what you pay for.
