Stumbled onto this restaurant looking for menudo con grano and let me tell you it will be on our regular places to go list. They have a brunch option on Saturday and Sunday. The food was good. Warm fresh made tortillas de harina and corn tortillas hit the spot! The drinks were really good according to my wife. She had their house margarita then their passion fruit margarita and said both were really good. I had a couple micheladas and they were tasty as well. I recently went to Nico's with a friend, and we shared some delicious nacho's and Mexican martinis. They first brought out some delicious chips and 3 different salsas. The chips were so nice and warm, and had a wonderful crunch!! The salsas were so yummy, nothing so hot we didn't like them. The restaurant itself is really nice, decor is beautiful. Lots of dark wood. There's even a patio and playground in the back. We had the nicest server. He checked on us quite often. It's a CD place to visit again very soon. read more

I needed my Mexican food fix, so I went to my local fave Nico's. I had a beef chili rellano with queso, rice, and refried beans. I had a shot of the house blended (with pineapple and jalapeños) tequila. It is the smoothest tequila I've ever had, but with a kick from the jalapeños. I really enjoyed this place. The outdoor has a great patio and playground. While we were eating, chatting and enjoying our food our kids were running around playing. I had the chicken fajitas that were pretty good and got a kids meal that my kiddo was too distracted to eat, so next time I will have them eat then play. The staff was friendly and observant, and the playground was cool. Loved the food, the ambiance and the margaritas. I was with 6 people this evening and everyone wanted Mexican Food for dinner. Yelp lead us to Nico's Cocina. The pictures and reviews really helped. Upon arrival we noticed they had a large group for which they were serving...A reception of sorts which was very encouraging. We were seated quickly and immediately we were served salsa and "bean dip"....both of which lacked flavor. Normally a major red flag. The salsa needed salt but just missed the mark completely. The bean dip was just "ok". We also ordered an appetizer of queso...it was horrible. Like fake cheese and butter horrible. We ordered margaritas and they were good....actually beyond good. Exceptional but the best was yet to come. I tried the Cancun, seafood enchiladas covered in a sour cream cheese sauce that was delicious. My Best friend's son had the chimichanga and devoured it. My friend had a combo bean And cheese enchilada and was very happy. My other friend had the chicken enchiladas covered in a sour cream Verde sauce. He bragged and bragged about how good they were. In true yelp fashion I decided to propose the proverbial question as to how each one would score their dinner this evening while explaining the guidelines of yelp. 2 people have 3 stars. 2 people gave 4 stars...I was one of those people. One gave a 3.5 and there other a 3.75 star. Everyone agreed the food was exceptional but the salsa and queso was super disappointing. Service was good but not exceptional.... Had our enchiladas not been near as good as they were this score would have been much lower. read more

We always get really good service here. Chips and salsa arrive before the drinks are even brought out. Fajitas, street tacos, asada, enchiladas, we've tried lots of different things and enjoyed it all. The bar is always busy, and the patio is always full of families with kids since they seem to have a blast in the play area. Definitely recommend! read more

Nico's Cocina is the best Mexican brunch buffet I had experienced. They have many choices. They have menudo and pozole. They have barbacoa, tamales, chicharron, nopales, mole, salsas for tacos including guacamole. You can also for a breakfast omelette cooked for you. They have fruits and sweetened bananas, cookies for desserts. They have waffles, pancakes, churros. The brunch buffet is 23$. They always refill the dish. Ambiance needs more spacious location. When you go there at around 12 pm, you will have a hard time looking for a parking though there is a big parking space. Its usually packed on weekends which is when they have the brunch buffet that begins at 9 AM. read more

Nico's is the place to be! I love the fact that they invest in their outside/backyard patio. Great shade, fans, and playground for the littles. This year they added a pop up tent to cover the playground and I absolutely love this addition! This alone will have us coming back multiple times this spring and summer. We had a great time bring all our friends and kiddos here. The play area is closed in so it's a safe place for your kids to play safely where you can still eat and watch them. Food was good and drinks were amazing. I will say the one con was the slow service. We asked about 4 times for high chairs and after 30 minutes, we ultimately had to go and find one ourselves. I love fatty meats and my BF doesn't so it was actually well balanced for both of us. Even the non fatty pieces were tender.
