Nightingale opens 11am on the weekend so I got there a few mins before they opened and lined up. A cute lil bakery in downtown Forestville, plenty of street parking. They still only allow 2 people in at a time. I ordered a lime cheesecake, a chocolate cookie, a large french bread, and 2 thimbles and came to over $40. Definitely pricey! I would suggest ordering the smaller french bread if you cant finish the large one in a day. I tried to eat the other half the next day and it was as hard as a rock. The lime cheesecake however surprised me! It was delicious. It was the only flavor they had when I was there but according to their menu they sometimes have lemon and passion fruit. Worth a stop! Its only a 3 min drive down from Mom's Pies.

This loaf of bread in the photo is priced at $7.50. Seriously! I miss Beth the Baker. This is no longer the neighborhood bakery... I believe it's now meant for tourists traveling through. By the way, this was a normal sized pen, & that is an abnormally small loaf of bread. So disappointed.

I have never had a meat pie before but I've always seen them in movies and wondered what they would…read morebe like. Well they're delicious!! I got my first meat pie today, I got a steak cheese and jalapeño meat pie and it was so good! The jalapeños were the tiniest spicier than I would have liked but it was still very enjoyable and I ate the whole thing! I also got the orange biscotti and it was also delicious! Not too sweet, crispy, and perfect with my coffee. I am a big fan- I will definitely be back!

BurtoNZ Bakery is a wonderful, unique place in Sonoma County. There are a few places that do meat…read morepies pretty well, but I feel like this place does them the best. Their steak pies feel especially authentic to that British/New Zealand styles very rustic, rich with butter and so flavorful. Their sweet pastries are also delicious and they have a few specialties there as well. The service here is great and everyone is helpful. I love being able to see all the people making the pastries in the kitchen and smelling the baked goods. On today's visit, my wife and I shared their spicy vegetable pie, which was actually pretty spicy! It had a strong, tangy tomato flavor with a lot of spice! We also shared a fruit galette that had a lot of berries and pear on it. Lastly, we got their tan square which has a short bread base and then a thick, butterscotch and nuts top. It's so so rich and buttery. I highly recommend this wonderful bakery!

Beautiful location, humble vibe. My partner and I are not big wine/champagne connoisseurs but we…read morereally enjoyed our lunch at Korbel. We were in town for our anniversary and wanted to have a quick but cute lunch before playing golf. Korbel delivered with a delicious chicken salad sandwich and refreshing Bellinis and mimosas! My partner finished his mimosa before I could even try it. I was very happy with my peach Bellini, which was refreshing on a hot day and garnished with a few blueberries. I can't speak for the grapefruit mimosa *side eye* but I will def be ordering it again per my partners light speed consumption of it. The view on the lower deck is insane, definitely get a spot overlooking the railing out towards the lush vineyard, under one of the cute umbrellas.

This year we did a day trip and stop my the deli. It's small but yummy and so fresh. The size of your entree is enough for two so you can share or get a to go and nibble later. Or you can buy some charcuterie items and make a board later that night. Whatever you pick will be a winner!! Then of course you can stop by the tasting room for some tastings, take a tour, or just buy what you know you love!! Don't sleep on the brandy. Many people know Korbel for the champagne but the Brandy is on point!! Also, there is a lot of outdoor seating so if the weather is right you can enjoy the outdoors while you eat and drink. Lastly , I had a pomegranate mimosa with sparkling edible glitter. I mean who can ask for more. LOL
