Although it was the portion size was small but it was all the bit filling. Every bite was rich and tender giving the ultimate go to comfort food. The lemon carbonara was meatless yet light. You are able to taste the bright lemon flavor with very bite. The golden summer gnocchi was also rich and delicious with a pleasant crunch by the baby corn that adds the perfect texture to the plate. The staff was very friendly and accommodating- they made sure our water glasses were always full, which we which we were especially grateful for as it was an especially hot summer evening. Stopped by Nightly's for a mini celebratory dinner on a weeknight. Apps were on the weaker side but entree/desserts were much better. Staff were polite for the most part and food came out super quick despite the busy dinner shift. My party of 2 started off with the fluke crudo which was alright and didn't much depth in the flavor profile. The tale of two salad featured a nice dill dressing but wish they gave us more brussel sprouts to balance out the textural crunch with the rest of the cabbage. The octopus was better than expected with its tender and chewy texture, matched with the peppery/tomato based sauce. For mains, the summer gnocchi was quite delicious! Gnocchi was chewy and almost mochi-like without being under or overcooked. The corn flavors were prominent within the cheesy, cream sauce and it even featured corn pieces and baby corn! The burger was very solid with a juicy, well-seasoned patty. Loved the combo of a onion-focused sauce on top and a mayo-based sauce with pickle bits at the bottom. Fries were pretty standard. The chocolate creme de pot was creamy without being too sweet nor too heavy! It really melted in your mouth. Dressed up for Friday night out on a super warm spring evening, and I loved the atmosphere of Nightly's. It was cozy yet moody & sophisticated. On nice spring/summer days, there's indoor and outdoor seating as well as bar seating. We were seated at a cute, intimate two-person table along the wall in the front corner, which had a great view of the UES city life out the big window. We were attended to right away. I had the Lobby Scene cocktail, which was super smooth and crisp on a warm night. My friend and I shared the crack & cheese and artichoke dip as our appetizers, and for our main courses, we had the prawns and the popular Marry Me Chicken. All the food was absolutely delicious. The marry me chicken is definitely worth the hype -- and I typically don't order chicken out at dinner, and this was particularly excellent. There were juicy pieces of both dark and white meat with a lovely flavorful sauce accompanying the dish. The staff was all super friendly from the hostesses to the servers, and we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Ever since its opening in the Upper East Side, Nightly's has been packed morning, noon, and night. I came here on two occasions, once for an impromptu dinner, on which, in a stroke of luck, we were quickly seated. In another, I came for brunch on the day of the famed New York blizzard (the first of its kind since 2016) with a reservation for two. I had enjoyed my time at Nightly's on both occasions. For dinner, my husband and I ordered the steak au poivre with a side of greens. The steak was delicious, cooked to a perfect medium rare, and although the meat itself was a marvel, what really struck me was how delicious the sauce was. It was the best steak sauce I've ever had! The dish did come with fries, which were wonderfully cooked as well: crispy, with that soft, potatoey interior that I just love. I wasn't too fond of the greens. They were too lightly seasoned and the texture was not appealing. Although, this is not the fault of the establishment. It was not up to my particular tastes - I simply ordered wrong. For brunch I came with a friend and ordered the pancakes with a side of sausages while she ordered the huevos rancheros. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, the berries sweet and tart, and the sausages so satisfyingly meaty on the inside, crispy on the outside. The huevos rancheros was a standout as well. We had the BEST Sunday brunch at Nightly's on the Upper East Side!!! We had walked past it a few times throughout the weekend and it was always packed with people, so we had a feeling it must be good -- and the brunch absolutely did not disappoint. They seated us in an adorable alcove in the back with velvet curtains and cute art all over the walls, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food wise, our group had the cacio e pepe soft scramble (what a unique dish -- served over crusty sourdough and a flavorful tomato jam, topped with Parmesan cheese and accompanied by a light arugula salad), two omelets (the hero and the garden -- I don't think I've ever tasted such a fluffy, perfectly cooked omelette), the huevos rancheros (flavorful and delicious), the challah French toast (SO glad we got one of these for the table -- the blueberry mascarpone topping was a standout!) and a side of thick-cut, crispy bacon. I was more excited to try this place and I really wanted to like it but it was just alright. We got to our reservation right on time and were told it would only be a few minutes only for us to get seated 30+ minutes later. We were able to sit at the bar in that time but we just wanted to eat. We ordered the fig carpaccio as our appetizer and this was our favorite dish. The bread was really soft and the figs with the balsamic were so flavorful. For mains we got the gnocchi and the black tie burger. The gnocchi was a bit too salty after a couple bites, so don't anticipate it being sweeter because of the pumpkin. The burger was super hyped up but to me it was just a solid burger nothing super special. It maybe needed a little more seasoning on the patty but the fries were fine. The servers were great though and super timely with the food. The place was also super packed on a Thursday night, we caught a cancelled reservation after turning Resy notifications on. To eat, the Saffron Gnocchi is a must - it was very flavorful and a little on the saltier side, which I was fine with since I am often disappointed by the lack of salt/flavor in many pasta dishes. The Roasted Carrots side dish was another favorite, but the corn and crack & cheese, while good, were slightly underwhelming (Mac needed more salt!). For dessert, the Sticky Toffee pudding was delicious, as was the Chocolate Pot De Creme. I went to Nightly's with two of my girlfriends when I visited NY and we had a 10/10 experience. We made a reservation since my friend who lives in NY said it is always busy, and I'm glad we did! At first, we were seated at this high top table, but it was definitely not enough room for the three of us. Luckily, there was another dining room table to sit at. All of the food that we ordered was amazing, as well as the drinks! Out of the octopus, mussels and steak au poivre, the steak au poivre was definitely my (our) favorite. The steak was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was delicious. I wish I had a whole bottle of it. The mashed potatoes were some of the fluffiest I've had, and so, so tasty. The food took a little while to come to the table, but that was to be expected, and we were having such a great time that we didn't realize. I can't remember our waiter's name since this was back in August, but I remember him telling us he was Argentinian. He was amazing! He was attentive and very personable. There was another waiter (with glasses) and he would help us out too, and he was also great. He even put his iPhone flashlight on me when I was taking selfies. I have been here many times and live in the neighborhood. It used to be good when it first opened. The last few times the food has been borderline inedible. Everything is soaked in oil, the burger meat is definitely not what it used to be. The quality is really really sad. I didn't know what to think about this place but it warmed up to me afterwhile. It was charming yet vibrant and the food/drinks were up to par. We got there way before our reservations so sat at the bar for one drink. I had the Misfit Martini (i love the moment Martinis are having with everyone doing a slight variation.) It had a shishito pepper and tasted tangy, clean and a hint of sweetness. Very good. The food was extremely good- we started with the Cucumber Salad that touched ever food palate- crunch with nuts, freshness from the cucumber, earthness from the dill, and a bit creamy from the cheese and dressing. Very good! The spinach dip was equally a star for the night. I wanted to eat healthy so I went with the Salmon dish ($34 ) was wonderful. Wished there were some carbs but I guess thats why they have sides. Most people around me were ordering the burger and the steak dishes. Ended the night with the Sticky Toffee Pudding. We had a reservation for 9pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. The hostess told us our table would be ready in a few minutes and it wasn't until 30 mins later that we were seated. When we asked the status of our table, the hostess told us that the people seated at our table have paid and were waiting to use the restroom (for 30 minutes). We were quite annoyed that the staff didn't make any additional attempts to clear the table when clearly they were finished. When finally seated, we ordered the il florista and dovetail cocktails which were good. For food, we ordered the burger and caramelized carrots. The burger was one of the best I've had and the caramelized carrots balanced it out nicely with sweet compared to the salty fries. I would've liked to have ordered an appetizer but by the time we sat down, we wanted to just eat and get out of there. All in all, I was very excited to try this place but disappointed with the service. Was finally able to get a reservation quite easily for a Wednesday night and everything was absolutely incredible! Lots of gluten free options. We sat in a booth in the back that is beautifully decorated with artwork and a bit quieter than the very lively main area. The service was great and everything we ate was amazing! We started with the chargrilled caesar which was delicious and perfectly crunchy. The corn and parmigiano were delicious and not too overpowering. For entrees we got the burger and fish tacos. The fig "carpaccio" was frozen. The short rib app was like eating straight fat, and our mains weren't good. The gnocchi was so creamy it felt like I was eating out of a milk jar, and the "marry me chicken" was just fried, meh quality protein. Not good. At all. 2/5 at best. Way too expensive for what it was. Cool, I guess, if you're 23-27. I don't get the hype. Why would you wait to go here? The food overall was good but service/time left much to be desired - such as the long wait for food and also the hostess forgetting to seat us. We had asked for a table of 2 and waited for a bit; they said the next table would be available in a couple minutes. We waited for maybe 10-15 minutes when we noticed other people who were also coming in without reservation were being seated before us into tables that were newly made available. When we brought it up to the staff, it was clear they had forgotten that we had been waiting for a table because soon after we brought it up to their attention, they cleared out the next table for us. We thought about leaving but thought we should still give it a chance. Our waiter was attentive to us but the food took so long to arrive. We probably waited 30 min for our appetizer and 1 hour for our burger. We overheard the table next to us also waited an hour for the burger. We ended our night much later than we had anticipated. Although the food was good, there was a lot lacking - perhaps we went on a bad day, but unfortunately that was our experience. Briefly the food: the truffle Mac was really good. The burger was not bad, it was good but quite expensive ($31). The tuna tartare is half tuna and half guacomole - wish the chips were not so broken, they were mostly broken chips and a bit too salty, it overtook the tartare. (This is a 4.5 star review) I'm a big fan of Uva, so when my friends suggested that we meet for lunch at Nightly's, a new bistro on the UES run by the same management as Uva, I was excited to give it a try. You really do need a reservation. It was bustling here on a Sunday at 10:45am, although not surprised that it was. The ambience and decor here are SO cute. It was definitely an immaculate vibe and I loved the touches of color. The service was timely and frequent. Everyone was kind enough. To open, I ordered a Kir Classique ($15) which is a Prosecco based drink with crème de cassis, lo-fi gentian amaro, sparkling water, and blackberry. It was very good. The right amount of sweetness with a bubbly base from the Prosecco. I also found it to be decently strong. I also ordered the token avo toast ($18) which was smashed and seasoned avocado on sourdough drizzled with chili oil. I liked this a lot. The avocado was fresh and the chili oil gave it a nice touch of flavor. The portions are quite small, but the plates are beautiful. I do, however, feel like the drink was a bit overpriced for what it was, but I imagine that has to do with the complexity of the ingredients. It was watery, had barely any spinach, and lacked flavor. The fluke crudo was even more confusing--it had an almost gelatin-like texture and neither looked nor tasted like fluke. It was pretty "safe" flavor wise, and came with a cream sauce with tarragon and sundried tomatoes. I will say, for $32, I feel they could pair the chicken with some potatoes or sautéed greens. There were just a few lettuce leaves as a garnish so that was disappointing. The burger ($30) was thick and well prepared. Quality ingredients done well. The fries were salty and delicious and there were a good number of them. They charge $5 for bread here. I wish this restaurant had better acoustics. Came here last week on a whim. My friend said she was there and there was an extra seat next to her at the bar, asked if I wanted to come and I jumped right up and said sure. This place is very hard to get a table reservation for so I was very excited to try it out. The ambiance in here is on the dimmer side. There is a pretty bar area where we sat. And there is a small back area with two or so tables. It's not a big place at all but they have alot of tables. For dinner we shared the Black Tie Burger which was delicious. And for drinks I had the Bistrotini HERBS DE PROVENCE INFUSED FORDS GIN, FRESH DILL, DRY VERMOUTH, LILLET BLANC, ELDERFLOWER, CELERY BITTERS. My friend had a regular martini and another drink but I do not remember which one. The bartender was very nice and helpful. She was also our waitress. I told her about all my allergies and she made sure to tell the kitchen. I highly recommend this spot even if you can only get a seat at the bar. It's better than nothing. read more

Very good experience! We had the tuna tartare, Cesar salad, ceviche, Mussels and Burger. We really enjoyed each dish, did any of them blow us away? No. But were they all very solid? Yes. The burger was by far my favorite out of all of the things we got but it was a bit under cooked. I prefer my burgers medium rare and don't even mind it rare but this was a bit too rare even for me it was still delicious however. The service was phenomenal our waiter was very attentive and kind and even went out of his way to write out some spots we have to try for an upcoming international trip! Now, this was a mistake from God !!!!! because the Agnolotti is AMAZING!!!! WOW. MADE MY NIGHT AND NOW I WANT TO GO BACK. They let us keep the agnolotti and sent us the gnocchi as well. While the gnocchi was decent, I think the agnolotti was just on a different level. I had to pretend not to inhale it so as to be subtle and polite about the mistake but inside I was so grateful this pasta appeared in my life. We also ordered the martini and the tainted love cocktail. The martini tasted like a straight pickleback shot which may or may not be a good thing depending on how much you like pickle brine. The tainted love was cute but nothing too special. Regardless, drinks are solid here and there's a good range of cocktails. All in all, I'm excited about this restaurant opening in the neighborhood. Food: Excellent 10 out of 10 "no notes" Service: Very good 8 out of 10 the staff is very friendly, they refilled the water quite often, but sometimes they were hard to find and a few times I saw our food go by us only for the server to turn around and come back to our table. Ambience: Fair 6 out of 10 the decor and the lighting were very nice, but the place is a bit crowded and very noisy. I wouldn't go back to this place on my own. While the food is very good, it is also very pricey. I spent about $300 for four people. We got one appetizer, three of us had drinks each of us got one entrée, we shared two sides and two desserts. Maybe this is just where the UES is at now... but it's a little rich for my pocket. However, my daughter has celiac, and Nightly's has many gluten-free options.
