Stopped by for a lunch special, and great deals and super fresh quality! Very impressed. Got the sashimi lunch special with 5 different kinds of fish. And also the sushi lunch special. Both came with salads. Overall, good spot and fresh fish!

This place is very special. First off, lychee martinis, yes! Lol. Second of all, this place felt so authentic and also the fish tasted so fresh. We ordered Gyu Tataki which was our appetizer. However, they gave a lot of sliced beef! We loved it but we were getting full hahaha. Great app to share. Delicious too! Momichi, which was an amazing roll. I recommend trying it because the flavors were unreal. I couldn't get enough. The white dragon was my next favorite roll. The fish tasted so fresh, Honestly, I never think of that because I just love food haha but this roll made me realize the freshness of fish. Delicious! We also have the pikachu and tuna special. They were yummy but didn't stand out as much as the other two. I'm definitely gonna go again and try more. Can't wait.

Came here with my sister for dinner and it's really cute. Service was very attentive and fish was well prepared. The restaurant is in the middle of NJ and I'm sure it isn't easy to get the freshest of fish. Though everything was well prepared and nothing was old, I could tell some of the fish was previously frozen. Please take that with a grain of salt as I'm used to Chirashi in Hawaii where the fish was probably swimming in the ocean a few hours before.

This is the freshest sushi restaurant I've ever been too. Consistency every time! The waitstaff is always super sweet and very helpful with the menu. Always my choice spot!!!

A friend and I decided to try the all-you-can-eat sushi, and it was one of the best dining values I've found in a long time. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we ordered tasted fresh and high quality, and honestly, we ended up ordering more than we could finish because everything looked so good. What impressed me even more was the service. We arrived around 4:00 PM and stayed until almost 8:00 PM catching up and enjoying our meal. Spending four hours at a table is not something every restaurant appreciates, but the staff was incredibly patient, welcoming, and never made us feel rushed. They continued to provide excellent service throughout our entire visit. To top it off, we even had dessert, and the total bill for two people was around $80. Considering the amount of food, the quality, the desserts, and the excellent service, I thought it was an incredible value. It's rare these days to find a restaurant that delivers great food, great service, and great value all at the same time, but Miga Sushi absolutely does. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend the all-you-can-eat option to anyone who loves sushi. Highly recommended!

But each specialty roll cost between $17.00 and $19.99. 4 rolls and an app costs more than Miga - where you get everything you would want and more. This used to be one of my favorite all you can eat sushi spots, and I honestly recommended it to a lot of people. I hadn't been back in about a year, but since it's always packed, I assumed the quality was still the same. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The biggest issue was the freshness. The sushi tasted like it had been prepared hours earlier instead of being made fresh to order. The fish lacked that fresh, clean flavor I remembered, and the texture just wasn't right. The sashimi slices were surprisingly tiny compared to what they used to serve, and both the eel and the albacore tuna tasted old, which was really disappointing. On top of that, the portions were noticeably smaller across several dishes. I don't mind smaller portions at an all you can eat restaurant if the quality is there, but this time neither the quality nor the freshness met the standard I remembered. I'm not sure if management or the kitchen has changed, but the experience was completely different from what it used to be. I truly hope this was just an off day because this restaurant was once one of my favorites. Sadly, based on this visit, I can't say I'd rush back.

The bad news is they lost points due to making us wait almost an hour for a small order -the staff is very nice but they appeared to be filling a ton of Grubhub orders before us and the place was half empty. It would've been nice if they gave us a free soup or something to apologize for the long wait but c'est lavie. Other issue - the main one- is their prices are astronomical for a hole in the wall joint in Morristown. As high as any of the Manhattan glam spots, i.e. Soho, Madison Ave, Columbus Circle, etc. Where else do you pay $13 for a salmon roll? 90% of places charge around $7-8 per, so you're looking at a very steep bill. Again, the fish is great but be prepared to spend hi end prices for a hole in the wall joint.

Thankfully, Mintea just a quick drive north on Ridgedale Avenue in Morris Plains has completely filled the void left by Laku's untimely demise. While the dining area's minimal decor clearly prioritizes function over atmosphere, the food and service are where this place truly stands out. The menu runs the gamut of Asian cuisines -- covering Japan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam -- and every single thing we've tried is incredibly well-executed. My dining companion and I have ordered everything from sushi to soups and noodle dishes and nothing misses the mark. The service is also terrific. The servers are genuinely friendly and attentive without ever being overbearing. One of the long-tenured servers always asks my dining companion how her father is doing -- because he had joined us once for dinner at Mintea a few years ago. If you're looking for a reliable, delicious spot that hits all the right notes, Mintea is a fantastic addition to the rotation. PRO TIP #1: Bring cash. I've tried a variety of sushi, and it's always fresh and delicious. The rice dishes are great too, and I especially love the wonton soup, which uses thin pasta instead of the thick noodles that most spots serve. I also tried the Pad Thai, but it wasn't really my favorite because the noodles weren't my preferred type, and the shrimp were a bit large and gummy. That said, overall this is a really great sushi spot that I'll happily return to for their consistently fresh sushi and flavorful dishes weekly.
