This is a nice casual place to get sushi. We got seated right away and the staff did a great job with checking in and refilling our waters. We ordered a crunch roll and cheesy shrimp roll. Crunch Roll- Inside you get crabmeat, cucumber, avocado and shrimp tempura with a crunchy exterior. The flavors and textures are perfectly balanced and every bite is nice and meaty. Cheesy Shrimp Roll- This is a california roll topped with shrimp and melted cheese. The shrimp is fresh and tender and the cheese topping is gooey and tied the flavors together. Okay, I've been requesting this establishment for close to 10 years and it's always been good. Went last night and ordered the 2 item combo with sashimi and sushi. The miso soup came out and it was so watered down. It was like they took regular miso soup and mixed it with water diluting it 50%. I thought "maybe it's just a bad night". When they brought out my food, I immediately ate a piece of sashimi and a scoop of rice. The rice was so hard it was close to being inedible. Here's what gets me. This is a Sushi Restaurant. How could you mess up the rice??? Next I ate a piece of sushi. Again rice was hard. How can a sushi chef so scoops the rice with their fingers not know the rice is hard??? Guess the extra water they added to the miso soup came from the water that should have went to the rice!!! It's sad when the only thing I enjoyed from my bento box was the salad. The fish was decent, but impossible to enjoy when you eat it without rice. Not sure I'll be going back. Cerritos is a very competitive location for Japanese restaurants. I'll be giving my business to other locations going forward. Guess when I walked in at 7:30 and only one other table had 2 people eating, I should have known it was a bad sign. Unfortunately, our experience at Niko Niko Sushi was very disappointing, especially because we were there to celebrate a special occasion. The young korean hostess was rude and seemed to have an attitude toward us from the beginning, which immediately made the experience uncomfortable. The service overall was not what we expected either. After we were seated, no one came back to properly check on us, and we felt pretty overlooked throughout our visit. It's especially disappointing when you're celebrating a special day and hoping to have a nice experience. We left feeling disappointed with the way we were treated and unfortunately would not return based on this experience. Had the pleasure of introducing my friend to Niko Niko for their first time. I love the fact that they always have buy one get one half off. The sushi is a little pricey here however the rolls are huge compared to other spots and the fact that they do offer buy one get one half off, offsets the price I suppose to $15 per roll if you buy two. The service was great didn't get the waitresses name but she was the younger Asian women there. She took care of us making sure we had everything we needed and refilled our waters without us having to ask. Very attentive. The ambiance is your typical sushi restaurant joint. Couple of big screen tvs, open sushi bar and a lot of tables. I imagine this place gets filled up during dinner / lunch time. But thank you Niko Niko for making my friends first time try a great one. One of my favorite local sushi spots. I usually come here with my family from time to time whenever we're craving sushi without spending so much. I normally get the 2-item bento, but I was starving this time so I went for the 3-item. I always choose their spicy tuna rolls because they're consistently fresh (I've heard some places use second-day fish for spicy tuna), and I also get the mixed sushi. They do use a lot of rice though, so I usually end up taking some out. I added chicken teriyaki this time too. Pretty standard, nothing amazing. The service is always really friendly and the food comes out fast. We always leave with bellies full and happy. read more

They have a pretty expansive menu here and all the rolls were buy 1 get 1 50% off so it ends up being a good deal. I ordered the monkey brain roll which had spicy tuna and seared salmon on a California roll. The roll wasn't really what I expected and was a bit underwhelming but I'm not sure if I just happened to order a bad item and that there's better items in the menu. With that being said, from trying this one item, I'd say that there are better sushi restaurants in the surrounding areas that I'd prefer to go to. The restaurant itself is located in Cerritos Towne Center and has plenty of parking. The store is on the casual side and has a decent amount of seating, but some of the seats were uncomfortably close to each other and I feel like my seat in particular was really close to the walkway where a lot of people passing were accidentally bumping into me. As someone who has served at a sushi restaurant for 3 years, I know this was an error of carelessness and neglect on the sushi chefs and/or the owner's part. The fish should be carefully and meticulously de-boned to prevent this issue. Go elsewhere. I used to love this place and used to recommend it to people, but not anymore. The bill shows a different, more expensive cost than what shows on their menu which I find extremely shady. They say you get a cash discount, but the discount is the price that's on the menu...(which isn't a discount). The quality of the food is now mid. Niko Niko used to be my go-to spot for sushi both dining in and takeout until today. We came for lunch and the location was empty with no wait. The server sat us down and shortly after took our order. After our order was put into the system we never saw a server. We saw other staff walk by other tables but we were never checked in on during our meal. While we were eating I felt like the atmosphere was getting very dense where I was having some breathing problems. The dish was pretty horrible. The sauce had no complimentary addition to the popcorn shrimp roll, as the sauce was warm for one, and it didn't taste too pleasing. The Dark sauce was not rich but a bit sour without much to want you to use more of. The orangish sauce was a bit better in regards to taste, but overall should not be added to such deep fried cuisine. The sushi was so huge making it hard to fit into your mouth showing how the chefs failed to replicate japanese sushi and americanized it. The digestive tract from the shrimp was also not removed making my food even more displeasing. Other places that serves similar Americanized sushi charge more than Niko Niko. In terms of the food, it was decent. Obviously the fish isn't the highest sushi grade fish that you're going to get, however, all of the ingredients were fresh. The ramen was also good, again not the best and most authentic, but the flavors worked and it hit the spot. In a way, the sushi here kind of reminds me of a slightly better version of the type of sushi that you would get at a Chinese buffet. Again, it's not authentic and high quality, because this place serves affordable, and Americanized food. The restaurant itself is clean, and has comfortable seating. Priced very reasonably, we ordered the beef bulgogi and the sesame chicken bowl. Both were very solid portions served with a good amount of protein and rice. Flavor was wonderful and very filling. Ate so fast that I'm so full and also felt dizzy from being stuffed lol. This place is tempting me to order more while I'm in the restroom because there is a menu hanging on the wall like artwork. Delicious in every bite. Sushi so soft smooth melted in my mouth. Soft shell crabs came with salad, the softest crab in the world even seniors with no teeth can eat haha. Took my mom and dad to go get dessert at Niko Niko Memorial. Placed an order of the Loukoumades, 1 dark chocalatina, 2 greek coffee and 2 hot chocalate. Ordered was placed at 8:09pm on 9/1/2025. Sat there for almost 30 minutes, it was 8:35pm and the buzzer still did not ring. Multiple customers got their order, and ppl was ordering a full meal. Went up to check the order, the lady said the order paper tab fell to the back and skipped our order. I said I would like to speak to the manager, he came to our table (did not get his name) and I told him that it has been 30 minutes and still did not get our order. He looked at my receipt and said it is not even 30 minutes and the Loukomades takes at least 15 minutes to make and it is very normal to take this long. And he also said it is not even exactly 30 minutes. I was so surprised with that remark. It was 4 more minutes to be at 30 minutes. I told him your worker said she dropped the order paper tab in the back and skip my order. He said who told you that. So we told him the girl that took our order up front. The manager should have gone to check on our order before making a remark saying it is normal to wait this long, and it was not exactly 30 minutes. Not sure if the coffee is supposed to have 1 inch of coffee ground on the bottom but we had a horrible experience. The manager needs to get more training on customer service. I must say that this Niko Niko at this location is my utmost favorite. They're very consistent with their food. However, today, their service wasn't great. Kept having to call the servers because they didn't really check on us. We're regulars to this sushi joint, so if you haven't been here, come to check it out. I love their sushi options, which are by the way very flavorful. The restaurant is simply created yet decorative giving that Japanese feel. Regardless of the service, I will come back for the food. This has been my go to sushi place for a very, very long time; however, based on my last order, I will likely be looking elsewhere for my sushi fix. With a new Japanese market coming to the Town Center, Niko Niko will need to do better to stay in business. I ordered a typical four roll dinner for my family. As usual, the rolls were large and filling. They tasted fine, but the amount of fresh fish on the rolls (Garlic Albacore, Rainbow Roll, etc.) was unusually paltry. With so much rice and "krab" and so little fresh fish on these particular rolls, they really weren't worth the price and not what I was expecting nor close to what I have received from Niko Niko in the past. This was very disappointing. This was a weekend order and I normally place orders here during the week, so maybe that had something to do with it? Maybe different sushi chefs? Whatever the reason, this should have been better. To add to the disappointment, I ordered via their website this time versus calling the order in and received an emailed receipt; but when I picked up my order I was surprised to note that the amount due was not only a few dollars more, but they also tacked on an additional charge for using my credit card to pay. They also didn't bring out the check until we asked for it. I thought that they would have when we looked finished with the meal. I wouldn't call this the most authentic sushi place, but if you're craving quick decent sushi rolls in a casual restaurant, Niko Niko is it! It's a bit hard to find, but I would park eat the Edwards Cinema entrance. Walk towards the theater and you'll find the place. They do BOGO 50% off rolls (all day, every day)! We called in at 8pm and asked if they would still serve us if we arrived at 8:30pm. They close at 9pm so we wanted to make sure the kitchen won't close by the time we get there. The lady on the phone said their kitchen is open until 9:10pm. (But don't be THOSE PEOPLE either) The quality of their fish is decent but not amazing. For the price point, I would say this place was really good! Service was fast and we were in and out within 30 minutes (Wednesday evening). For 4 rolls between 2 people, it cost less than $50!
