Cute place in a strip mall right off 190th. I got a selection of donuts + 1 cronut for my family. Our bias is for yeasted more so than cake donuts just so people are aware. Glazed yeasted donut: so fluffy, just enough salt, glaze was perfect (not too sweet!). This was the perfect bite! Glazed cinnamon crumb: one of the recommendations from the staff. Same donut qualities as the glazed with a little extra pizzazz on the outside for flavor. Also really good but I liked the clean taste of the plain glaze most. Cronut: unfortunately this one was just okay for me (otherwise would have given 5 stars). We've definitely had better. Mostly I felt it was too oily tasting though they did well on lamination. I did like that they added some light cinnamon to flavor it though! Boston cream: unfortunately for me, this one belongs to my husband who hasn't woken up yet. Depending on his response, I'll update this (and maybe upstar if he is is obsessed with it! Lol) Overall, great small business. Quality is excellent. So far the only miss for us was the cronut but only bc we have had many others. It is still a great cronut just can't say the best we've had. Service is friendly. They are credit card friendly. Donuts are super affordable - I paid $6 for all these even though most places would consider all but the glazed as specialty and up charge. Getting out of the parking lot can be hard with cars going fast on 190th so just be careful. We are looking to go back and try the other two recs from the store: blueberry cake and apple fritter. Feel like I can't give a loaded review here. We walked in at about 10:00 am and they had about 20 donuts left which was really great for them but limited us to what we could pick. The best donuts I've had in the South Bay. All of the donuts were light, not greasy, and not overly sweet. Service was prompt and all the classics (old fashioned, pink glazed with sprinkles, blueberry, etc.) were there. I'm baffled by the negative reviews stating the store needs to be more inviting. I love this place! Niko's doughnuts are fantastic... my husband and I have developed a habit that takes us here at least once per weekend. Aim to get there by 10am for the best selection, though I've found that any doughnut I've tried has been delicious. A few weeks ago, while driving down 190th St. in Redondo Beach, I noticed the donut place, that had been closed due to a fire about 18 months ago, (Anita's Donuts) had reopened. The new owner, Niko, had opened a few months earlier. I ordered a croissant as I quizzed Niko on just how he ended up opening another donut shop at this location. The place is now, Niko's Donuts. The croissant I ordered was delicious and huge! Also, Niko was very friendly. The place was exceptionally clean, with the display case full of fresh donuts. Although I am not a big donut eater I did try an apple fritter a few days later. It also was fantastic. There's lots of parking in the back. Niko's Donuts is amazing and has been my go-to place for awhile!!! I popped by here for the first time to satisfy my sweets craving and thought the young owner was so nice and enthusiastic. Niko was super patient with me and I really enjoyed his suggestions. The donuts are always perfectly crisp and just the right sweetness. I usually wrap some up to leave in my refrigerator for a few days and they are always still as good as the day I got them . I live in the area and there were so many recommendations of this donut shop on the app, Nextdoor, and I can see why. It's super clean and the person working there was very friendly. They have a really great selection of donuts! I got the jalapeño cheese and ham croissant, which was spicy and delicious. The blueberry donut was super flavorful and the buttermilk donut was the perfect texture- slightly crispy on the outside from the glaze and soft and cakey on the inside. First time stopping in, ordered a regular glazed, maple old fashioned, and iced coffee. The donuts were excellent. Yeast glazed was super light and fluffy, great texture. Old fashioned had a nice firm exterior with light interior, pieces broke off (my favorite way to eat an old fashioned) but it was crumbly or dry. Iced coffee was Vietnamese style. Creamy and refreshing. Prices were $1 for each donut and around $3.50 for a small iced coffee. Service was quick and the gentlemen behind the counter was so friendly and kind! I used to stop by this place every week and buy dozens of donuts and croissants for work and staff meetings. The last time I stopped by I ordered coffee and a plain croissant . He took an empty bag and went to the back of the store and came back. After I left and opened the bag the croissant looked the same one as the boxed croissant from Sam's club. This place is a hidden gem. Literally anything you get from here is going to be amazing! Iced coffee, regular coffee, donuts, and my personal favorite is their breakfast burrito they have. Never in my life have I had a better breakfast burrito like the bacon one with avocado in it. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel important as a customer. The donuts here make the ones at Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts look/taste like gas station donuts. Give it a try! They have the usual traditional donuts but they also have some special items like pigs in a blanket and jalapeno, ham, and cheese croissant.
