Quick, efficient, and delicious Greek food at your service. Nikos has been open for about two years (I believe, don't quote me on that) and even though I've only had my chance to eat there a few times, I've never had a bad meal. Usually when I'm picking out a book at Barnes and Noble next door I'll stop by to pick lunch up, otherwise I'm never usually interested in driving through that parking lot, HUGE nightmare. Nikos has everything you'd expect from a Greek restaurant and even includes some other American favorites like burgers and subs. They usually have a daily special listed outside or inside to your right and for the most part, that's what I normally flock to. However, the last time I ordered take-out, I opted with the lamb souvlaki. The flavors and textures of the pita sandwich were perfect, I just wish there were more of it. I still felt hungry afterwards and at $10, you'd expect to be somewhat satisfied with the meal, right? Maybe I had an off day where I was hungrier than usual *shrugs*. Aside from that, the service at Nikos is impeccable. The manager is always out front helping with the orders, cleaning tables, and conversing with the customers. Not to mention, he's just a really nice guy. Huge plus in my book. I'll definitely be back for more food at Nikos next time I'm in the area. read more

I came here last week to try it for the first time. I came back today it was so good. The place is small but very clean. A guy who seems the owner is very nice and attentive to all his customers. I haven't tried bathing besides gyros but if everything else is as good are the gyros. A must visit when in the Danbury area. read more

My family and I are huge fans of Niko's. The food is consistently delicious, cheap, and the staff are always friendly. The atmosphere is pretty nice too; there's a really lovely painted mural of Greece that spans the whole right side of the restaurant. I've been here numerous times. Last visit 3/26/17. Love the Greek wings for an appetizer. Always get a gyros and I'm very happy with it. Service is prompt and friendly. I get a bit confused sometimes when I get a table, "is someone taking my order there or do I go to the counter. Drinks are self serve from the cooler or fountain. I'm giving this place 4 stars ONLY because I think it's a little to pricey BUT that's the only downfall this place is so cute and it's the best gyro I've ever had, the way everything was brought together, the flavor and the presentation was awesome. I bought a Catering size garden salad yesterday with the container of the Greek dressing. I used it to supplement a family dinner. Everyone went crazy over the dressing. The combination of olive oil, lemon juice and spices is to die for. I wish I ordered an additional container. The salad ingredients were fresh too. This is an excellent stop for a delicious take-out meal! I have been in several times to get the chipotle chicken and chipotle steak wraps and feta fries for my fiancé and I. Wraps are always hot and perfectly proportioned with regard to the contents inside. They have never gotten an order I have placed incorrect (and I'm a major pain when it comes to getting extra ingredients added/taking other ingredients out). Everyone behind the counter that I have spoken to is extremely friendly, engages in polite small talk and gives a home-y, welcoming feeling to guests (even when you're a perfect stranger!) Since this place changed hands its been a nose dive to the dumpster. They want a cash business and obviously charge more for using al card. Prices on the posted menus are not the actual prices charged and when questioned about the difference in price the owner becomes belligerent and tells you prices are subject to change without notice. So if you don't want to be overcharged for a meal I suggest you order from somewhere else. With those business practices they won't be around for long. The only reason they get one star is because you can't post a review without a star rating, in my opinion they earn zero stars. read more

I can't say enough great things about this place. We come here AT LEAST once a week for lunch. Must haves if you haven't been are: 1) Regular of Chipotle Gyro 2) Lamb over rice with grilled vegetables. Also, try the Feta fries, they are drizzled with lemon and amazing. Sammy has taken over for Niko and they've got some incredible new additions, such as spicy hummus, and all sorts of handmade items like dolmades. There's nothing bad on the menu, and we've tried everything from gyros to spanakopita to burgers. Great stuff, highly recommended to everyone in Danbury or just passing through!! read more

Good food- terrible service. I've only ever been here on the weekend- and the teenage employees behind the counter couldn't be more rude- my first visit, they forgot I was waiting for take out food for almost 30 minutes after the pick up time and when I bugged them enough to interrupt their personal conversation, they finally gave me cold food to take home. Another time we sat in the restaurant, same poor customer service and rude, rushed attitudes- but the food is good. I was excited about this place when it recently opened near my office. The food is alright. Nothing to brag about though. I found the lunch portions bit stingy given the price. 10 bucks for a lamb soulvaki in lunch is his kinda high in my book. After all it's just a pitta with sliced tomatoes and few pieces of grilled lamb. Maybe that's just me. Danbury is missing it's fair share of Greek food, and this place could be big. Cozy and friendly with fast service! The food is pretty good, with most entrees having a generous portions. Flavors are authentic, with touches of the culinary diversity of the Mediterranean basin. The falafel is amazing, and mostly resembles the Greek kolokithokeftedes (or revithokeftedes) than the deep fried Middle Eastern food-cart-obtained staple. Good food and reasonable prices. Great take out joint. Their gyros are tasty, the Greek salads are good, the feta cheese appetizer is delicious. Once, the lamb in the gyro was a bit dry. It was still tasty though. The staff is very friendly and attentive when we eat here. The restaurant and kitchen looks clean. To go orders generally take 10-15 minutes before the are ready, so if you are in a hurry, I recommend calling ahead of time. Or, you can get the warm feta appetizer to munch on while you wait for your dinner. You will not be disappointed. You may, however, be too full to eat your entree because it is hard to put down the crispy pita chips covered in warm feta goodness.Their hours are a bit wonky, so make sure they are open before you head to Niko's. read more

If there were an option for incremental reviews, I would give a little higher than 4 stars. The online ordering was very convenient and simple. The gentleman who gave me my food was super nice. For the food, since it was the first time that we tried it, I ordered a number of items so that we could get a good feel for their quality and just take (lots of) leftovers for lunch. Hubby had gyro. His review was that it was very good. I had the gyro burrito. What a different take on a traditional dish. The spanikopita was really good, hummus was above average, and baklava was good. We also ordered a Greek salad, but couldn't even think of trying that after eating so much already. It too will be in the lunch bag today. It looked great though. All in all, great experience and to top it off, it's right down the road from my office! I foresee more takeout in our future. read more

Twice I had their Greek salad w/souvlaki chicken, which was dry, but tasty. Salad itself was really just a lot of the hearts of romaine, which holds no nutritional value whatsoever, I won't even eat it. Yesterday, my hubby grabbed our lunch of gyros, lemon potatoes, two things I had been wanting to try. Gyro was dried out and salty, and thanks to my inquisitive hubby, discovered it's frozen. He then asked if they make anything fresh (grape leaves, lemon potatoes, tzatziki, etc.) NOPE. NOT A THING. So if you like your Greek food full of processed crap from some factory, have at it. No more for me! Owner seems very nice, but his standards or ideas of what Greek food is, is shameful, quite frankly. Chef Gordon Ramsay would be appalled. There is another new Greek place that opened up recently in Ridgefield. Hoping that it's better. read more

You can peruse the menu all you want, but take it from a vet: YOU CANNOT GO WRONG ORDERING THE CHICKEN SOUVLAKI W/ FRIES OR THE GREEK FALAFEL PITA W/ FRIES(I love the sliced falafel! I cannot stand when restaurants ball their falafel!)!!!! I was here the 2nd or 3rd day this place opened it's doors and the consistency of every meal since is what stands out the most! Nikos is very nice and clean when you walk in. Fast service. Workers are all teenagers(saturday night) curly fries were cold and either stale or just left out too long. I had a delivery from Niko's yesterday. I ordered the Santa Fe salad, which was delicious, and the Chipotle Chicken sandwich, which I saved to eat today. The sandwich is excellent! I threw it in the microwave just to take the chill off from the fridge, and this sandwich is fantastic, even a day later! I'll definitely be going to Niko's for a dine-in experience soon! read more

It was joke. My husband was craving Greek food because in New York City, we go wonderful Greek restaurant in Upper West. We did not expect this place will be anywhere near Kefi. However, I expect price will be cheaper. Not really. I ordered Pork Souvlaki. Meat was so tough, I could not chew. I truly believe they served cheap cut of beef. Wow! I just ordered a Gyro small fries and 6 chicken wings for lunch. They were fantastic! It is very difficult to find a nice authentic Greek style restaurant in the area that has a great selection on their menu, friendly customer service, and very tasty food! The price was on the higher side at $17 for lunch (no drink and no tip) is a little expensive for one person. I will absolutely eat here again but would like to see a gyro and fries as a combination. read more

Came here because I was in Danbury and my favorite Greek place in Carmel (Greek village) closes early on Sundays. The gyro was really disappointing. The meat is a lamb beef combo although for about $2 extra you can have just lamb. The meat tasted of nothing but salt and the tzatziki sauce had no flavor of garlic or cucumber.
