Large cheese pizza with a hot honey drizzle and ricotta

I ordered a cheese pizza with hot honey drizzle and ricotta as well as fried ravioli, both were excellent! The ravioli was perfectly crispy & cheesy and the marinara sauce was flavorful & savory (not sweet!!). Wasn't sure what to expect with the pizza as it was my first time ordering with a drizzle, but I loved it!!! I can only describe it as spicy, sweet, creamy, and cheesy: I recommend! I ordered online and the service was super quick and handled well.

Did you know there's such a thing as Flagstaff style pizza? At Nimarcos it's their claim to fame. We came here for an early dinner and shared a pizza. While ordering was quick it did take a little bit of time to get our pizza out and we were warned of this so we got some cheese curds to tide us over. The cheese curds were decent. It's breaded fried cheese so there's not much that can go wrong with that. The pizza was tasty! We had the Hawaiian BBQ which had plentiful toppings and I enjoyed the crust. Unfortunately it was a little too spicy for the little one so we will have to beware of that for next time. It got busier as the evening progressed so service got a bit spotty. We visited here in July and there wasn't any good air flow through the restaurant as it got progressively warmer and warmer as we sat waiting for our food. I'd also skip dining in when it's summer time due to this. Despite the lags in service, I do appreciate that the members of the family that own Nimarcos all pitch in to clear tables and deliver food to tables.

Pizza place in a college town. Nothing fancy and pizza was alright. The toasted ravioli was a "no" as it was chewy and overcooked but the cheese pie and bread were more flavorful and good. Customer service was really good- it was nice to see that especially in the setting of younger people.

This is fine pizza - good if you want something easy, fast (slices), and reliable. I think the term "Flagstaff" pizza is interesting... it's basically just a focaccia crust. My main complaint that there wasn't much flavor - tomato was the dominating flavor, and it could've been cooked a bit more for my preference. Maybe Flagstaff style just isn't for me

I'm not much of a pizza gal. However, sometimes I need to give in for my hubby. You order at the counter. If you're in a rush, you can order from their express menu. We had some time before our next appointment and ordered a large ceasar salad with a medium WOW monster meat pizza. The pizza was made to order, well worth the 30-minute wait. They serve beer. However, we decide on ice tea since we have a BOAT load of errands to run. The bowl was full of our ceasar salad, plenty to share, and the pizza was amazing. I never in all my years have eaten my crust however this time there wasn't any crust for my husband to eat. Look at the bottom of the pizza, PERFECT! We will return again and again when in the visit Flagstaff.

Cute little dining room. Order at the counter, and then they bring it to your table. 2 slices and a drink special was really good. We all like different kinds of pizza, so each of us was able to pick the kind we wanted. Soda fountain was Pepsi products....not my favorite but good tea choices too. The pizza was perfect. I was able to get plain cheese as a vegetarian, while my son and hubby could devour pepperoni and sausage. Nice staff. Having a service dog, it was nice to see a poster on the door about not passing your dog off for a service dog because it devalues true service dogs. We don't let her eat people food except an occasional pizza crust at home. So, it was a challenge for her not to check out the pizza, but she remembered where she was and waited patiently.

Excellent pizza and beer lunch! Did a local Pizza restaurant search while at Flagstaff, AZ and NiMarcus came up. The place is a comfortable place with a cozy bar/restaurant feel. You walk up to the kitchen window and Eder your pizza and drinks. We ordered the Medium pizza, half pepperoni and pineapple (me), and half the Popeye's Special (a bunch of veggies for my wife). We also ordered two draft beers and we were ready. To our surprise, the pizza was delicious. The draft beers were also full of flavor and cold. All in all, a great lunch. We've been to 2 locations in Flagstaff. Both were good. At this particular one we each got the #1 combo, We got there late in the lunch hour, so there weren't as many by the slice choices. What we picked was good. Yum. read more

I'm not sure why this place has such a high rating. We stopped in for lunch on our way up to Lake Powell area. I had a slice of cheese and the Cesar salad, my husband had pesto and veggie slices with buffalo bread The good: the Cesar salad was the highlight of this meal. It was a good size and full of flavor. The cheese pizza was ok. It seemed greasy and heavy without much flavor but was the best of the three. The pesto pizza was incredibly bland..I could barely stomach one bite. The veggie slice was also bland and overall just meh. The buffalo bread was the saving grace of this meal. Overall we were underwhelmed. Thank goodness they have some good beer on tap to help you wash down the pizza with. Staff was friendly. This might be the college spot for a late night slice. I don't know. We usually come to this location with no issues. However, on today's visit the tables were dirty and not cleaned. We had to do them over selves. Foods weren't swept, I noticed some food that fell on the floor surrounded by ants. Wasn't a good time :( read more

Honestly, this was some of the best pizza, wings, and cheesy bread I've ever had. Passed through flagstaff on a trip and was told by the front desk of our hotel that we HAD to try it. We got wings, the Buffalo cheesy bread, and a pizza, and every bit of food blew us out of the water. The wings were even gluten free, but you'd never know! The Buffalo cheesy bread had a light Buffalo taste, but not too spicy for those who are fearful of some heat. The pizza was also incredible. We will definitely make it a point to stop by anytime we are close! read more

This place was amazing! We ordered the medium pepperoni pizza, garlic bread sticks and toasted raviolis for our family of 5. Everything was so good, I especially loved the crispy dough and the cheese they used on the pizza. I have not had pizza that good in a long time and it seriously depresses me that it's not where I live. I also really appreciate how strict they were with masks. Three people tried to come in three separate times without masks and the girl at the counter was polite but firm in asking them to wear masks. They also had tables spaced out and everything seemed very clean. read more

Our order came out in a sufficient amount of time. Food was pretty good. Employees were working hard. Just wish it was cleaner in there. Drink station was not the cleanest. Made the mistake of looking up and the fans were disgusting. Looks like they had never ever been dusted. read more

Spent the weekend up in Flagstaff with my family and wanted some carry out. Ordered online from NiMarcos and picked it up. It was ready when we walked in. We got the "everything" pizza, the Hawaiian BBQ pizza, not-so-hot wings, and the toasted ravioli. The real star of our meal was definitely the wings. They were meaty and well seasoned. The toasted ravioli reminded me of the ones my family in St. Louis make. So delicious. Over all, a little expensive but the quality and quantity were definitely there. read more

We had the calamari appetizer which was done perfectly, tasted like calamariand we wanted more. Our pizza was pepperoni on the standard crust---the BEST pizza we've had in years! The crust was both crunchy & chewy with a delightful sauce. This will be our "go to" Pizza from now on! read more

My daughter and I were driving cross country from Tennessee to California and Flagstaff was our last stop before we headed home. After a long day of driving we didn't feel like going out so we ordered pizza from Nimarcos for delivery to our hotel. The customer service was awesome! They were super busy and were going to be a little later than their delivery time and they called to let me know. It was just 10 minutes later but they wanted to let me know. Also, they delivered right to our room with all the utensils and paper goods! The pizza was delicious! Not too thick but not too thin! Really good flavor in the crust and just the right amount of cheese. My daughter got the wings and said they were awesome! We both got small salads and they were fresh and crisp with plenty of vegetables. I don't know when I will be back in Flagstaff but I would definitely recommend Nimarcos for anyone looking for great pizza and great service in the area!! read more

This pizza was amazing! We got the meat pizza, and it was very filling. We are not usually huge fans of ham but we didn't mind it because it was cooked so well. We are in AZ finishing up some business and always try to eat at local places. We wanted pizza so looked on Yelp and found this place close to our hotel. We ordered a large pepperoni with extra cheese and cheesy garlic bread. It was very good! They actually put extra cheese on and didn't skimp. Pretty damn good. And the crust was awesome! Not super doughy and not super thin. Nice crunch to it. We will definitely order again when in the area! read more

Delivery person didn't make an effort to properly deliver pizza in a timely manner. They gave up trying to find our apartment and went back to NiMarco's, only to go back out and finally deliver the order. I tipped the driver 20% before hand. The person I talked to on the phone at the store didn't seem to care that the order was late we had a problem with the deliver driver. Very disappointed for a business to operate in this manner. read more

We order to go or delivery from NiMarcos ALL of the time. Typically we get not-so-hot wings (they are STILL pretty hot!), an everything pizza and a Caesar salad. It's a nice treat for a Friday night at home. Service is good. Delivery is fast. Price is great. read more

Ok fan "freaking" tactic I enjoyed everything every bite everything. I wasn't in the mood for pizza I wanted steak but we went. I was thinking It won't be full filling and it's pizza I can get pizza anytime. So I started by getting a side salad and i thought I said side, it was bigger then any side salad I've seen it was like ordering from salad and go and so delicious. And I ordered wings those were so delicious great crisp and I get sauce on the side so I can regulate my taste. And at that point i realized I was so excited for the pizza. Because everything was delicious and kept getting better. When the pizza came OMG THAT punched my taste buds and I was happy that I didn't get steak and i couldn't finish the pizza or the wings or the salad. Tasty pizza! Enjoyed my gluten free option and adding some veggies. Boyfriend had a medium pepperoni. Lots of cheese and grease just how he likes it. Enjoy the family style salads. Love the options of having a pitcher of beer. Went to sit inside. 4 dirty tables, only downfall on a Saturday night was not seeing someone bussing tables. Ate outside on patio which was enjoyable. Highly recommend and would go back when coming through town. read more

Everytime and I mean everytime we come to Flagstaff it's a must to make a stop at our favorite pizza and wings spot in town! The large pepperoni pizza extra crispy and a dozen medium flavored wings is what we had! The flavors and textures of the sauce has a semi sweet flavor to compliment t the mozzarella cheeses! Wings were so crunchy with a mild and tolerable spicy flavor! All in all you can guarantee we will back next time we pay Flag a visit! read more

I have only had pizza from NiMarco's once before and it was from their Kasper location. I fell in love at first bite! About a week and a half later I am bringing my wife up to Flagstaff for a business trip and since my first experience I've been talking this place up pretty strongly. This time it's from the Westside restaurant and I have to say I'm still very happy. We only pulled up and picked it up but everything was super smooth. A+ pizza, sauce reminds me of a place I loved from my childhood in SW Philly. The crust is perfect! Super crispy but not burnt and not too much of it! read more

We come up to Flag twice a month. Because we have kids, we like to hit up those kid-friendly places and also enjoy the food! We've set out to try all the pizza places in Flag and this place was next up. According to the Yelp reviews, this place was worth a check out. I loved that they sold slices all day so the kids didn't have to wait for a 30-minute pizza. We ordered our South of the Border medium (plenty for two starving adults of 4 healthy slices each) for $16 and our kids something more tame-- cheese slices for about $1.90 each. We paid about $20 for full bellies. The best part of their pizza was definitely the dough and airy crust. So far, this surpassed the other 3 places we've had pizza in Flag. We got delivery and cannot fully judge the crust off but when we got it, the outside crust was delicious but the middle was a little soggy. Many reviews mention the SOB so we got it, but it was not our thing- we ate half of one slice and tossed the rest... it was a weird combination of flavors. The other half of our pizza was veggie and so so good! We also got garlic bread which I destroyed half of!! The 4 stars are for the garlic bread and the caulifire! Try them out ^_^ read more

We lucked out with some gorgeous weather a few weeks back, so dining on the patio was very enjoyable, particularly with the cozy string lights on overhead. It was super packed, but some of the couples ahead of us rejected the tiny bar counter and stools at the end of the smaller patio; since those seats didn't bother us we were seated immediately! I don't remember the name of our waitress, but she was very friendly. She immediately brought us a water carafe and two glasses. She was back in under 5 minutes to take our order and our food came out super fast. We began with the Mixed Greens Salad with Chevre & Pine Nuts. The portion was generous and the salad was absolutely delicious. They let the flavor of the chevre & pine nuts really shine through by adding a very light olive oil based dressing. We then shared our favorite pizza, the Diavola, which was delicious as always. Their pizza crust is some of the best in the western U.S. I love the convenience of enjoying Pizzicletta at Dark Sky, but I think we'll be coming to this location from now on. We loved the ambiance and slightly expanded menu offered here. Plus, grabbing drinks two doors down at Mother Road before/after is an added bonus!

The outdoor beer garden is huge with plenty of seating, heaters for those crisp Flagstaff evenings, and sunshades for warmer days. There's indoor seating too, but the outdoor area is definitely the main attraction. It's also dog friendly, which was nice to see. You order both food and drinks at the counter and they bring everything out to you. We arrived right when they opened and there was already a line forming, so the place is clearly popular. The decor fully leans into Flagstaff's International Dark Sky designation with UFO, alien, and astronaut-themed artwork throughout the venue, which gives it a fun atmosphere. The drink selection was impressive with a huge variety of craft beers on tap plus cocktails, cider, and wine. We tried the Rainy Daze hazy IPA and the Vortices hazy double IPA. Both were smooth, flavorful, and not overly bitter or hoppy, and of course very hazy. Food was more hit or miss. The pretzel board was really good and the beer cheese was awesome. The fish and chips, however, were just okay. The fish tasted like the fryer oil probably needed to be changed, and the portions were smaller than expected with only three thin pieces of fish. The fries at least came out crispy and hot. Service was friendly, although interaction is pretty limited since everything is counter service. The all-gender bathrooms were also clean, which is always appreciated. There's a paid parking lot across the street along with metered street parking nearby. Overall, I'd come back for the atmosphere and the massive beer selection, but I'd probably skip the fried foods.

We were intrigued enough that we visited MartAnne's the very next night for dinner. That was on a Tuesday at around 6PM and it wasn't too busy the entire time we were there. House Horchata ($5.99) - This drink comes in a giant 32 oz Ball jar with tons of ice. Per the server it's made with milk and condensed milk, no rice milk at all. It's rich, thick, creamy, sweet, filled with earthy notes of vanilla and cinnamon. There's so much spice included that at some points, there's almost a gritty feeling while drinking. It's perfect for a hot day after hiking. Buckwheat Pancake ala carte ($4.99) - Buckwheat pancakes are something we've never seen before on a diner menu in the past. It seems to be pretty common around Arizona, so we had to give it a try before leaving Flagstaff. This one's pretty big, almost plate sized. It's really moist, fluffy, bouncy, and light with a slight sweetness and a certain earthy flavor. It's moist enough that it sticks to the ceramic plate it's served on. The pancake is somewhat crumbly due to the low gluten content of buckwheat, although I believe they use a mix of buckwheat and wheat flour to give some more stability. It's bluish grey in color with black specks of ground buckwheat throughout. It's dusted with powdered sugar, but it's not a ton, making the pancake not really sweet at all. The pancake comes with a small cup of their cinnamon honey butter. It's not mixed that well, leaving it mostly unhomogenized with streaks of honey and spice through the softened salted butter. Tamale ala carte ($4.99) - MartAnne's offers two types of tamales - the first a red chile beef, and the second a green corn and cheese. We went with the latter, which is a homemade tamale with a somewhat looser, coarsely ground masa shell surrounding an interior of yellow sweet corn kernels, a bouncy and somewhat spongy block of Oaxaca cheese, and a fragrant green chile. There's a slight sweetness throughout and the tamale overall is easy to eat. Chilaquiles, Xmas, Fratelli ($17.99) - This is a monster sized plate of a mishmash of ingredients. There are three things as essentially a base layer. Firstly some Mexican rice that's tender, moist, and fluffy, totally unlike the more common dry and and compact version. My guess is that they skip the initial frying step that helps keeps the starch together. It's quite fragrant and has gives a bit of heat. On top of the rice is a layer of hash browns. The potatoes are tender on the interior, griddled on one side to give a delightful crunch, although there's some acridity that develops. Another third of the plate is covered with chili beans - tender pinto beans that are well salted and seasoned. Then there's the eggs stuffed in between layers of corn tortilla chips, smothered with sauce. I went with the Christmas combination of red and green sauce, followed up by the Fratelli-style pork green chile. The green sauce is fragrant and vegetal, while the red sauce is more smoky. The pork, which is cut into chunks, on top is a bit tough and dry but there's more than enough sauce to make up for that slight demerit. Finally, there's a small mound of I believe jalapeno peppers, cut into small neon-green colored pieces. Some pieces are spicy, some are mild, all have a vegetal pepper taste. I found the food at MartAnne's to be pretty good. It definitely hits the spot after hiking all around the area for most of the day. Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Note: MartAnne's charges a 3.5% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu.

The only problem I have with it is that on a recent trip through town I made a point of stopping here with my dog, both their yelp listing and Apple maps listing have them down as dog friendly. I was turned away at the door because they do not allow dogs.

There are many places to get pizza in Flagstaff, and most are about the same, but when it comes to Nimarcos, it's above most. The workers there are always friendly and knowledgable, the atmosphere is great for a casual lunch out, and of course, the pizza is fantastic. In addition to the pizza, you have a nice selection of beers and some killer appetizers! Definitely worth your time! read more
