I've had a great experience every time I've come here. The staff is very friendly and personable, as well as Dr Fridman! I had to find a different dentist because of the Eaton fire, but I'm counting the days until I can return to her office. She's never tried to upsell me or offer unnecessary procedures. Been looking for a suitable dentist in my local area for awhile who wasn't overly pricey or concerned with insurance, to my surprise I had be referred to Dr Fridman by a friend of my mothers! After going back to Dentist Nina Fridman I had an ever worse experience. This dentist noticed that my teeth were "dirty" and she asked why and started going off and got mad at me because I "don't care about cleaning my teeth". This is the first time a dentist has ever treated me like that. But that's wasn't all. Because she was so upset at me because supposedly I wasn't brushing my teeth, when she started the cleaning procedure she took it out on my by being very aggressive and in the end she left my mouth/gums sore. I have never seen and experienced such unprofessional and unkind behavior. I won't be going back to this place ever again. Oh, and one side note, what Nina was charging me for a few fillings that I needed to get done, I got a way better and lower price at a different local dentist which treated me much much better by the way. Nina kept telling me that's how much the insurance charges, but the other dentist I found is less than half the price for the same job. Amazing. read more

Dr. Friedman is the only dentist I'm comfortable with. She is gentle , thorough and very knowledgeable in what's best for you to have a confident smile. The staff there is very personable and patient. They show a lot of love during your visit never making you feel hurried or a bother. They really want to help with all your concerns. When I have an appointment I don't have a long wait if any to be seen. Meaning they understand that ur time is valuable. You won't regret going! read more

I finally found a great dentist. It has not always been easy for me to find one in LA. I found Dr Fridman because my elderly mother is her patient and I really liked the way Dr Fridman and her hygenist, Irma treated her. Very compassionate, gentle and kind. I recently had a dental emergency and drove from Studio city to Alta Dena to have Dr Fridman treat me. What a pleasant experience. The minute you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and relaxed atmosphere. Dr Fridmans dental procedures are great and pain free. She's very thorough. I brought my elderly mother to Dr. Fridman for dentures. It is hard finding a decent dentist who takes Medi-cal and does dentures. Dr. Fridman has a lovely manner with my mom and is very patient. The front office is nice and friendly. I was able to get a quick appointment, clear communication, and good care for my mom. read more

Avoid! I have her assigned through my DMO but I am going to change it as soon as I can. I would not recommend Dr Fridman. #1: I expressed my concerns about using mercury in my fillings and I wanted to have them replaced with composite. She basically refused to do the work because she kept insisting that mercury was fine and that is what she had, also that composite was more expensive. I have insurance and they would cover some of it, I would just have to pay more of a co-pay. I don't care if she wants to have a toxic chemical in her mouth, that does not give her the right to insist that I keep it in mine. #2: I went there for a deep cleaning on a different date as my Invasalign doctor recommended it due to calculus. Dr Fridman never mentioned that I had excess build up of calculus at any of my visits. She seemed very reluctant to do the procedure saying that it won't be a big difference, I may bleed a lot, it may hurt, it will cost me a co-pay since it isn't a normal cleaning, and so-on for the excuses. After I mentioned that I wanted it done and was not backing down she went forward with the procedure. In the end, I got what I wanted and she used a little Novocain to help with the pain. There was blood and I did have a co-pay (which I confirmed with my DMO) but the difference was huge. They looked whiter, and flossing was easier and enjoyable. Before this, flossing was hard and would sometimes shred the floss. How come she never mentioned this before? #3: When Dr Fridman started the deep cleaning, apparently she was rushing a little as she had already started work on another patient (given a Novocain shot) and the patient was waiting for her. The other patient was saying that she was in a rush and was going to leave. Dr. Fridman was very rude in her response to the other patient and basically told her "No you won't". What kind of professionalism is that? #4: and final: When Dr Fridman bent over to do an initial examination for the deep cleaning she put on gloves, but no mask over her mouth... she had two very large, open cold sores! Are you serious?! I have never had a cold sore and she almost exposed me to HSV. I take pride in the fact that I don't have to worry about that for myself or giving it to my wife. She seriously needs to have her license revoked. read more

Chaotic and poor communication. Multiple doctors being handled through one small reception window. When I called to make the appt, I informed them I was new and asked if they needed my information. The receptionist (turns out this was an answering service) said, "no" and just made the appointment. I received a phone message the next morning from a different person who stated that they were a bit confused and unclear as to whether I had made one or two appts. They also said that they needed my insurance info. Of course, that's why I had tried to offer it the day before when I made the appt. I tried to call back within the hour, but received no answer. Tried to call back the following morning but received an answering service who said I would need to call back another time. Arrived for my appt 30 minutes early to handle insurance info. Signed in immediately but receptionist did not even take my insurance card until my dedicated appt time. 1.5 hours after that, the doctor and an office staff girl came in and said that I had no dental coverage and handed me my card back. I asked if they had called my medical insurance by mistake (they're both on the same card). They didn't answer me, just again explained, "no coverage". The doctor herself, then gave me a gentle scolding for not providing the insurance info ahead of time to prevent such a long wait. I explained that I had tried, but it seemed like she didn't believe me. I am very non-confrontational, not an arguer, so I just thanked her and left at this point. Aside from all that nonsense, the exam room was not as tidy as I'd like and the office overall was a little dingy and extremely chaotic. There were two different patients wandering in the exam room hall during my hour and a half wait. Overall a very bizarre experience. I called a different dental office as soon as I got home, they asked for my insurance info, CONFIRMED coverage, and then gave me an appt immediately. Easy peasy. Long story made not so short, avoid this office if at all possible. read more

This is the Very Best Dentist that i have ever had. I came to know Dr. Fridman through a referral from a friend and client of hers. He had nothing but Good to say about her and her care for him. Being a bit reluctant as i am with any dentist, I decided to give her a try and to my surprise she was all he said she was and more. I had to have some very extensive dental work done, work that would have been a challenge for anyone in her field. But she passed the test with flying colors. There was a point where I was completely satisfied with the final product and the truth being that any other dentist that i had ever visited would have been too. But she wasn't, and called me in to make one last adjustment which made all of the difference in the world. Beside being an amazingly gentle dentist, the best thing about Dr. Fridman is that she's honest! When I needed a crown, she was the only dentist among four I have seen, who did not pressure me into high cost crown. My crown looks amazing! Very happy with my experience at this office. read more
