I've gone here twice. The service is direct and to the point which I like since I can walk-in during my workday lunch. I also appreciate the employees offering suggestions as to how to style my brows whenever I come in with only vague ideas of what look I want for myself. The atmosphere is relaxing (soft music, colors that are gentle to the eye, etc.). Place is very clean. I haven't come in during their happy hour deals but they seem very worth it. Definitely call for an appointment! I have really light eyebrows that I have to draw in. I had never heard of tinting, but Sami recommended it. She really took her time and went over it a couple of times to perfect the balance and darkness of my eyebrows. She has the touch of an angel and the precision of a doctor. I have baby hairs that may be overlooked and left, but Sami made sure she got rid of those pesky hairs. I used to go to ez threads, but have become a regular here. They ask if you want ice and aloe to soothe any redness that may result. Super worth, $15 for eyebrow threading and $20 for tint. Did not need to draw in my eyebrows for about 2 weeks. And even on the third week, it was very minimal shading. read more

I am actually relatively picky about my brows and feel the workers here are very careful to leave them natural, keep their natural arch, and more classic than trendy. They've taken me on a walk-in basis both times. The space is very clean and relaxing. I love how quick and friendly the service is. I had no idea what to expect the first time, and as a wimp for pain I can say that the threading is virtually painless, and the aloe massage at the end is amazing. Run, don't walk to Nirvana. Kenny is very gentle, very sweet, and very skilled. I love to get my eyebrows tinted here and she does a beautiful job with the dye and shaping. She's the type that you don't even have to tell her what to do because you can trust that she will do what's best for your face shape and brows. BUT Wait!!! You NEED TO GET A HEAD MASSAGE HERE! Kenny gives unbelievably relaxing head, temple, neck, and shoulder massages. She even turned off the light in the room and used beautiful citrus oil. there is such relaxing music playing and as you recline in the chair you melt right in. I was a noodle afterwards. I was in town for a meeting and had the best brow and lip wax of my life. I stayed at a hotel nearby, and considered my brows near emergency status. Considering I was meeting with some board members, I decided to take matters into my own hands, even though my brow person at home is amazing and I wouldn't typically cheat on her. This place is unassuming. You can make an appointment by text (yay!), and I was able to get a same day appointment. The person who did waxing and threading of my brows and upper lip took her time, but wasn't too slow. She was careful and gentle and my brows look great. Also, the treatment ended with some cooling gel and a massage of my temples. Yes please. There aren't individual rooms and it's not fancy (I must be spoiled) but I don't even care. Hallelujah! I finally found a place to do my eyebrows correctly. Really happy. Here's my story. I stopped waxing over a year ago and decided to thread in July this year. I'm not all that picky, so I don't look for perfection. Just nice, clean, and not thin. I got my brows threaded a few more times and literally walked in and out in less than 10 minutes from check in, 1-2 min wait and 5 minute brow thread. Never again. I work downtown and had a few clients mention Nirvana...so I walked in to see if they had time one day. I waited maybe 10 minutes and got the best threaded brows by Kopila. Very sweet, and talented and thorough with her work. She took her time and gave me exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely be back from now on and it's only a 5 minute walk from work. Open Mon-Sat I believe. She does threading and facials and I think some waxing, I haven't tried the facials yet but I do plan to. I have been going to Rumi for years and I am so HAPPY I found her here! I don't have to tell Rumi how to do my eyebrows she does them the way I want them and follows the shape of my eyebrows. Nirvana is an excellent business. After a while visiting just for brows, I started to see them for a couple of facials too. Previously not a believer in facials, the Nirvana team has somewhat reformed me. My skin is clearer and less inflamed and I always look forward to the next treatment. One suggestion for improvement. I am very fair with light hair. I used to like getting my brows tinted but they do not have tint light enough for blond girls. After trying their tint a couple of times it was obvious that it is just the wrong look for someone with my complexion. Would love to see lighter options. I recommend going during the day if you can as they get very crowded at "happy hour". read more

Best threading salon I have ever been to. Rumi is not only skilled at what she does but is also very polite and patient. She put me at ease right away and gave me some great tips on how to better groom my brows. The salon is not your typical fluorescent-lit desi establishment. I'm a little spoiled coming from New York where it's standard to get a top-notch eyebrow threading job for $7. Here I paid $15 + $ 3 tip for what turned out to be an amateur result. I asked the young lady to keep my brows as thick and full as possible, just clean up around the brows and trim them. She spent maybe three times longer than a typical threader would on my brows (perhaps she was new at this?) and in the end she took off way more from my inner brow area than I gave her permission to. Following the threading, she asked if I wanted aloe and wound up giving me a full-on head massage, her aloe-y fingers running through my hair, massaging my eyeballs (which did not feel great because I wear contact lenses), and wiping off my eye makeup. This was by no means a disaster of a thread job (I've definitely had my share of those), more likely a case of getting an amateur threader. Since there are surprisingly few threading salons in the Bay Area I will likely come back and pay the steep SF price for the salon's convenient location. read more

This is by far my favorite eyebrow threading place in the city! This is probably the 3rd place I've tried and the service is out of this world. You are greeted with them offering you some hand sanitizer so you don't have to touch your eyes with dirty hands. They are very gentle with your eyebrows, but also give you a great shape or do a good job of clean up if that's all you want. Two of my favorite things: 1. Short massage at the end of your threading session - they do such a good job on this and you feel so relaxed; I would keep coming back just for this. 2. Happy hour on Thurs and Fri from 12-5pm. If you get your eyebrows threaded, you get upperlip for free so total comes out to $15! I think $15 for both services is a great deal in the city - best I've seen so far. I'm not sure who it was who threaded me, but I've gone twice and it was the same lady both times. I was in desperate need to get my brows done. I found this place through Yelp and it is only 2 blocks away from work! I came on a Friday at 5:30pm without an appointment and waited for 30 minutes. I didn;t mind waiting, since I knew this place would be good! I would definitely make an appointment next time. Finding a new place for my brows is scary for me, but luckily i found this place! The lady who did my brows was super friendly and attentive. I didn't get her name, but she was excellent! Before she started, she told me exactly what she would be doing and gave me advice on how not to tweeze my brows. After she asked if I wanted ice on my brows since she could see my tearing up. She carefully put ice on it and then massaged my brows with aloe afterwards. This would be my new go-to threading place since they have a loyalty card for having the 6th visit free! They do brazilian waxing! I went in today to get my eyebrows done and saw that they are having a special, $15 off for a brazilian. It's usually $65, so it came out to $50 total. Not bad, I thought I would give it a shot. Kalpana (sp?) took me upstairs to their little treatment room. It was very clean. They always use hand sanitizer and give some to me whenever I get my eyebrows done so I knew they would be clean. She used hard wax since she said it was better, although it does take a little longer. I didn't mind though. Kalpana never double dipped and was so meticulous. It was the first time getting a brazilian felt like a spa treatment. She was so nice and friendly and the room was relaxing to be in. These girls are my go-to for everything now! read more
