We found this awesome food truck place on yelp. The name Nirvana seemed interesting. We called the food truck. Jason the owner asked as to park across the street. Free parking for the kahei village shops. A lot of food trucks here. For every tastebud and flair. From Hawaiian to Japanese, to açaí bowls and smoothies. The free range roosters are everywhere. One hen was trying to lay an egg in the shade of a truck.

One of the best beef samosas I've ever had!! Sad it was my last day or I would've gone back for more. Their mango lassi super delicious! Next time I come back to visit Maui, Nirvana will definitely be on my list. Service was great. Highly recommend!

Their Masala Dosas and Samosas are super good and pair well with their Tamarind Sauce! Especially love the cilantro inside of the Dosas - if you're looking to find great North and South Indian Cuisine on Maui, Satrang is the place to visit - Miguel Morales Photography

Masala dose, coconut chutney, rice, and sambhar

We were craving something different on the island after several days of pizza, pasta, etc. Being vegetarian we came upon all these food trucks in Kihei and loved the prior reviews of Nirvana. My wife and I split the masala dosa and the dosa plate. The dosas were piping hot and light. The sambhar was rich and flavorful and complemented the dosas nicely. We only wish the potatos in the dosas were spicier but that's a personal preference. We'll definitely be back here on our next trip to Maui.

This is HANDS DOWN the best vegan plate I've had the whole 3 weeks I was in Maui! As a vegan it was very hard to find something delicious HOT and fully vegan but Nirvana took care of me! So much I had to come back before I headed to the airport! Thank you so much for your wonderful customer service and delicious food! I can't wait to get back for some more!

Being from the Bay area samosas are a dime a dozen this place is spectacular, both the vegetable and beef samosas are the best I've ever had. The sauce for dipping is fruity and wonderful. Well worth the trip to Kihei to find this place in the South Maui gardens all the way back in the corner... Well worth the walk!

Dosa Masala is very tasty! Love it.

I got the smoked salmon bagel and my boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich, and we both really enjoyed them! We also split the bubble waffle. We ended up eating it cold, but I'd definitely recommend eating it fresh/hot. The real star of the show was the Maui Melt panini I got when I came back a second time. LOVED IT. Easily my favorite thing I've tried here so far. I also got one of their specialty lattes with cold foam and asked for it less sweet. It was delicious! The barista was also super sweet and friendly. I sat inside at one of the corner tables and there was an outlet right next to me to plug in my laptop, plus WiFi, which was really nice since I wanted to get some work done. They also have outdoor seating if you'd rather enjoy the weather. Cute spot, great food and coffee, friendly service, and a good place to hang out or work for a bit. Definitely coming back!

I was already doing the math and thinking , "Eh, we might be here awhile." But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.

I got the bread with macadamia nuts because i love nuts and they drive me nuts - nuts were fresh enough, which added the crunchy texture to my soft moist bread - could be more moist but it was already satisfactory - i like how they sell smaller pieces rather than a whole loaf but also it was more pricey - not as fresh and as good as aunty sandy's but decent! rating: 3/5 - since this place focuses on cinnamon roll, the rating is heavily weighted towards the cinnamon, which did not meet the minimum expectations of what a basic cinnamon roll should be - if this place was called the banana bread place, id give it a 4/5 - quick service nothing much to note - very small store; grab and go vibes with some seats outside IG: @nom.noms.only

My husband and I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of food and quickly realized we may have gotten a little too ambitious. The ordering system was a little weird and chaotic, though. You have to wait in line to order before finding a seat, but then also wait by the counter for your drinks. The space is pretty tight, and with families and tourists coming in, there were easily 20 people packed into the small area when we went. It felt really crowded and chaotic, and it was hard to know where to stand or wait. I also thought it was a little pricey considering how casual and chill the spot is and the amount of food you get. The food was good, but I expected either larger portions or slightly lower prices.
