I have been meaning to go to this food truck for awhile and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Been craving a particular dish, masala dosa, and it was awesome. The chutney and sambar to go with the dosa were also delicious. This is the only place on Maui that I know that serves Dosas, part of South Indian cuisine. I also ordered vegetable Samosa and it was to die for and went well with the mint chutney I chose. The samosa was the best I have ever had (and I have a lot over the years). I also ordered a mango lassi and it was great, the cook did a flair on it I never had, not sure of flavor, thought maybe cardamom. The menu includes both South and North Indian food. Sometimes I come and it's great, sometimes there's too much garlic in the paneer and the veggies in the koorma make me sad. Overall, I'm very grateful for Indian food in the area so I'm not going to be picky. The dosa is my favorite. The samosas are always nice and crunchy. Was seeking some vegan food for a change- tried this highly reviewed food truck. Masala dosa was incredible being gluten free and vegan!! I looked forward to tasting the vegetable korma and sambar lentil soup. Found the other two dishes heavy and oily and not a lot of finesse in flavor. These dishes gave me a bit of a tummy ache as I'm not used to so much oil. Dang! UPDATE 45 minutes later: I feel lousy! Got a headache now ( I can't remember the last time I had a headache!!) to go with my tummy ache and I hardly touched the other two dishes. Dang! I arrived at lunch feeling FANTASTIC after a yoga class now I feel terrible. Blew $30 bucks on food I think I will throw away. Incredible disappointment 2 hours later update: Still have headache and now have sharp pains in my gut...??! 3 hours later: Thank goodness the severe abdominal pain has subsided... Their Veg curry was pretty good but the Palak Paneer tasted like saltless garlic chutney and lemon rice was very Americanized without any groundnuts/tempering. Samosa was ok. We took a $75 Uber to this place as there weren't many options, only to realize it was in the woods quite far from town. Definitely wasn't worth it. I love this food truck. I stop in here every time I come to my favorite yoga retreat in the world: Black Swan Temple near Haiku, Maui. The homemade paneer is cut in big juicy chunks, the spinach is flavorful and creamy and the portions are huge. And the homemade hot sauce is to die for! I wish I could give them 0 ratings. This place is a complete waste of money and time on this island. I have no idea, why there are so many good reviews on this. We were returning from our trip to Hana, and we missed an exit since the gps signal was not really strong. We literally drove 20 mins back to come to this place, as soon as the GPS signal came back. The place is kind of in a shady area, not much light over there, but looks good as you approach the truck. Thankfully there are about 3-4 tables to seat over there. I was so happy to be here as my friends had recommended this place. Looking back, I think they might have been very hungry to even eat this food. I ordered the Chicken Korma and my wife got the dosa and sambhar. The korma smelt really good, and I was really looking forward to this. I really wanted this to be good, as we were really tired after the drive to Hana and were ready to go to sleep as soon as we hit the bed. But it was so disappointing, the taste was not good, felt like they didnt use the correct masala. Sambhar was awful, as the dal wasn't even mashed, tasted weird and had some smell to it. The dosa in itself was crispy, which was the only thing we could eat. Chutney was just too dry to eat. We were planning to get desserts, but I guess the food was so bad, that we decided to save our money. I couldn't finish at all, and after a few bites, I had made my mind to throw this in garbage. We ended up getting out of here empty stomach, as this was just an experience to forget. This is our favorite restaurant in Maui. We have been to Maui twice and when we came back, we drove right back to Haiku to find their food truck. Excellent Indian food, the chicken curry and vegetable korma are delicious. I also highly recommend the mint or coconut chutney. We also liked the classic South Indian plate with masala dosa and sambhar. Really can't find any fault with the menu. Friendly Indian couple and great service. This place is amazing! I love their chicken curry and fresh made dosas and samosas! They make their own chutneys and hot cumin hot sauce which are delicious with all the authentic food. Everything I've tried on the menu is great but I'm a huge fan of the chicken curry with lemon rice. Totally worth the trip to haiku, especially on the way to Hana or to some waterfalls in huelo. The service is friendly and very helpful. Harpreet makes all the food and does an amazing job. I highly recommend trying it out. read more

I'm an Indian food fanatic and have sampled all of Maui's Indian food many times over. Satrang is a food truck in the Haiku Market Place shopping center. I can't say it was great and I can't say it was bad either. It was just ok. I'm not happy that they didn't have Naan Bread because they don't have a Tandori oven so that already was bumming out before the first bite. There food will do you alright if you're just passing through Haiku but if you need a real 'Indian fix' you'll need to head to Kihei to Maui's best Indian restaurant. Or come by my house because I learned to cook some mean Korma and Tikka Masala from a chef in Bangkok. read more

So delicious! One of the few places in Maui that provides Indian cuisine. I love the fusion of both North + Sound Indian food. My favorite items are the dosa, vegetable korma and coconut chutney! This place is amazing... by far the best Indian food I've ever had. You won't find your run of the mill vindaloo or bland curries here, what you will find is amazing/ authentic Indian food. It's the kind of food you can imagine being cooked at home (if your home happened to be in India), and cooked with the same love.
