    Curry ramen

We had the curry ramen and Nishikawa black. I prefer the nishikawa black over the curry. Some bites did have a very strong garlic kick. The curry felt a bit grainy from the spices? And was a bit salty also. Nishikawa black tasted great the next day too as we had leftovers !

Nishikawa Ramen in Phoenix is definitely worth a visit. The vibe is great, quick, to the point with great ramen options. I ordered the Pork Miso, and it was absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful, and really comforting. The service was quick and friendly, and even though I dined inside, everything came out fast and the staff was great the entire time. My husband got the Tonkatsu which was equally delicious. I got mild and he got medium and as someone who can't handle much spice, I probably could have leveled up to the medium spice level. The dine-in experience was solid, but based on how well everything was prepared, I can imagine their takeout would be just as good. If you're craving ramen in Phoenix, this spot is an easy recommendation.

Nishikawa Ramen, for us, was a pleasantly surprising find, but with some minor misses. Our order: - Tonkatsu Ramen - Nishikawa Black Ramen - Chashu Rice Bowl - Tacoyaki The star of our order was easily the Tonkatsu Ramen. That broth was spectacular. It had a nice velvety and flavor feel and taste. It went very well with the ingredients and was my favorite. The Nishikawa Black was good, you could taste the black garlic. The Chashu rice bowl was different--deep fried pork belly is not what you'd typically expect from a rice dish like this. The Tacoyaki was fine, but maybe used too much oil as some of the Tacoyaki was crispy at the bottom. Service was very engaging and helpful. Open parking lot outside. We had a very good meal :).

Quick service, delicious ramen only wish they would add more ramen. I would recommend they add kimchi broth if possible, as I would have preferred this over the pork broth which doesn't have the depth of flavor.

This place is one of my faves for a casual good bowl of ramen. The Nishikawa Black is my go-to because of the black garlic oil. Makes the rich broth even more flavorful. The noodles and pork are solid, no complaints. I also order the Beef Bowl sometimes which is like gyudon. My last visit here though, I was overwhelmed with the teriyaki sauce because there was too much and it was too salty. I also couldn't remember if it the beef bowl always came with sauce? Next time I will be ordering it without.

I brought my Fiance in here for dinner after picking her up from the airport. I was thoroughly impressed with their Ramen. Their flavors were delicious and authentic in both bowls we had ordered. I had ordered mild heat and for once I agreed with the heat which is hard to do sometimes at these ramen spots. We ordered the gyoza and chicken appetizers and both were delicious and fresh. We had ordered Takoyaki and it was inedible. It tasted old and like it had been refried. It was chewy, fishy and not good so they took it off my bill when I had mentioned it... I think. I did deduct a star for that, but me giving 4 stars for a Ramen restaurant in Arizona is a feat in itself as I have been in some of the best Ramen places in Southern California. The inside is small and quaint so I would definitely call ahead before you have to wait. I will come back and try more items when I'm in the mood for Ramen. Keep up the good work!

We were running errands in the area and decided to stop by for a quick lunch. On this visit, we decided to share the pork gyoza and curry ramen with bean sprouts and pork chashu. The pork gyoza was good, it had the right amount of crisp to it, had flavorful filling and the skin wasn't too thick. The curry ramen was hearty and very filling, the flavor of the broth wasn't too strong but still had a nice kick to it. Overall, the service was fast and efficient. With the ambiance being very casual and low-key. This is a solid spot if you're looking for a quick, hearty meal that offers generous portions for the price in the area.

Like come on dude this is too small for $4.49

Cute cozy shop with really great ramen! Well priced too. Only issue is I ordered their matcha cheesecake for $4.49 and it's TINY. And the cheesecake has the most vague taste of matcha.

My dad was craving ramen while we were in Phoenix and after searching a bunch of different menus, this place spoke to him. He got the miso ramen with medium spice and hard boiled egg and he loved it! He said that it has so much flavor and definitely hit the spot. They had a good lunch special where he got the ramen, gyoza, and a drink for $17.95. The gyoza was great and so was the ika geso. I got the katsu bowl and it was ok but I kinda regretted not getting ramen also. I'm gonna try this place again and get one of their ramen dishes. Parking was easy with a private lot shared with other businesses. Service was great. It wasn't too busy since we went for lunch a little later than usual but the waitress was working solo and was able to keep up with all the tables. She also made recommendations that would be more cost effective...I love that! Will definitely be back!

I'm not sure if this is the absolute best ramen we've had but this is a nice place to stop for a quick and still really tasty ramen. It's a little smaller inside so sometimes there's a little wait but I think it's worth it! The broth is delicious and the food always comes out quickly. The service is amazing as well and the employees are so kind!

I will NOT be ordering from here again. Second time getting it and NONE of my toppings I paid for were there. Just order Jinya tbh

I will NOT order from here again. It's the second time I have tried it and none of my $2 additional toppings were included. Plus it's mids, just order from Jinya, it's work the wait!!

Nishikawa Black with extra fried onions and black garlic oil....delicious!

Stopped in today for lunch....ordered the Nishikawa Black Ramen and Gyoza! My go to. Everything was delicious. Ramen is really good here. I highly recommend this spot. Gyoza is so good...steamed and then fried it seems...soft and crisp. Place is comfortable and service is great. I'll definitely be back!

Do you offer gluten free noodles?

They offer two noodle options, both are not gluten free and made from wheat flour

    Are there any vegan options?

No there are not any vegan options on the menu. The closest you could get would be buy some rice and some veggies but idk if they would do that or not

I'm assuming it's a family-owned joint because the one and only guy working front of house always takes care of me. He's awesome. The place is cute. It's tastefully decorated, and they have a very-on-brand, ginormous full moon light on the wall that's illuminated from behind. It's super cool. I've only ever seen a couple other diners in there with me at any time. The food comes out super fast, which is great, because I'm hungry as soon as i step in the place. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the food is always good. If you're in the area, this place is a must-stop.

Good amount of fish vs rice. Everyone is very attentive. Service is very good. The ambiance is interesting :) nothing fancy but not too bland either. There are full moon/moon related decorations. I used to come here specifically for the Ramen, but the Ramen has never been the same after a bit before Covid had hit and they decided to change the recipe and everything about it and it's just like mid now, but I've recently discovered how good their noodles are. This is probably some of the best chow mein I've had and that's mostly what's carrying this review. I literally am only putting it at three stars because I am still upset about the Ramen situation and how it used to be really good and I can't factor that out of my review lol but what I usually get here is the hot chicken bao bun and it's pretty freaking good pretty spicy too. I'm like white girl level zero when it comes to spices and I think it's pretty spicy but it's super flavorful. The pickles they put into it are really good. I think they like saturate them in something and like I said before the chow mein noodles are just super good. They're not dry and they're pretty flavorful it's great. I'm just hoping one day the Ramen will be better so I can change the review higher lol

When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!
