After walking for what felt like HOURS we stumbled across Night Cap to order a few beers. When we walked in to the small corner bar, there was a juke box playing a multitude a songs and we sat down at the bar. Delia, our bar tender, poured us our beers and made some small talk. After learning it was our friend's birthday she gave us some restaurant and bar suggestions to carry out our evening. As it goes, we decided we wanted to take a shot and requested our go-to... rumplemintz. They did not have any rumplemintz but Delia searched high and low for something to satisfy our peppermint cravings. After saying "no thank you" to some peppermint schnapps, she offered up a concoction of her own to celebrate our friends birthday. It was delicious! Real cool bar in the TL; came here with some friends for an after-work drink. Beer on tap will get you by and any drink you can think of, bartenders will make it for you (in this case, I went with an old fashion and a manhattan neat). The Nite Cap was introduced to me by some work colleagues, we went by for a drink after work which is not too far from the financial district. WOW. This bar is not what I expected for the area. It looks like it was remodeled recently, the whole bar is super clean. I also felt really safe for the area, the bar staff is super accommodating. And last but not least, the drinks are awesome and priced very reasonably. I will definitely be going back soon. read more

Stopped in here randomly last night and we were almost done with our round of drinks when a man approached us and said he needed to see all of our IDs even though we had all been carded at the door -- he was being kinda creepy/flirty with the women in our group and it just seemed off. He claimed to be with the Liquor Control Board and made that asseration multiple times. We asked to see his ID and he got super pissed and had the bouncers kick us out. They were so on top of things they didnt notice that two of us carried our drinks right out of the bar on to the sidewalk. The bouncer then identified the guy kicking us out as the owner and they both yelled at us to yelp about this as we continued down the street -- so here I am yelping about your creepy, shitty treatment of a group of industry folk and bartenders. I feel like I am at home here. The bartender, Joe, made my partner and I feel right at home. This place is clean, friendly, animated, and just fun! There's a pool table where people can play pool and have a good time. It's gets busy sometimes so you just have to be patient as there's just one bartender running the show, but trust me; it's worth the wait. The beer is Always cold! really fun bar! i had a group of 30-40 people here for a Halloween party and it was perfect - awesome decorations, a great staff, the owners David and Dave are super nice and really accommodating. Come here if you want dirty glasses and shitty service! Was just here, hoping to catch the warriors win the finals. Ordered a dewars neat, no big deal right? Get the glass, and the light coming in from the window made the little particles of what looked like the collected skin flakes of every person in the bar floating in the drink plain as day. Pushed the drink back and asked for a clean glass, it was THAT bad. Bartender, tall black fellow with a kinda derp look on his face, grabs a glass from the same shelf, pours my drink in that and slides it back. After staring incredulously at both him and the glass for a second, I pick up the glass and look again. Now it looks like a scotch eggdrop soup. I ask for a new drink because at this stage there isnt a single parallel universe where Id ever drink that slop. He just repours it a third time, hands it back and goes on to the next customer. Defeated I take the drink to a table and stare at it angrily. Few minutes pass, I dont even raise the glass. I take it back to the bar, tell this genius he can drink it, and adk if I can just get an IPA. Sets it down, I slide the scotch to him and turn to leave. Motherfucker chages me for the beer!!! I said, "Seriously?". After a little back and forth, where I basically showed the scotch and the floaties in it to the patrons around me and even they agreed it was bad, this guy wouldnt relent. Paid for the beer, checked for dirty syringes/used condoms/whatever else might be in there and deemed it was safe. Watched maybe 20 mins of the game before the urge to run out of that place overcame me. Definitely better service before their makeover and whoever is hiring the bartenders needs to do a better job. Would take a full array of immunity boosters plus a small army of steroid enhanced super apes to get me to go back to this place. read more

This place is nice for a date. I think the walls could use more and the TVs seem to not go with the ambiance of the place. I was expecting a non-sports type place but the windows and the lighting are perfect. I've been here twice. This place tries waaay too hard. At the end of the day, it's the same crappy dive it use to be. At least I'm no longer wary of picking up a communicable disease from the furniture. Definitely a decent remodeling. Even though it's an interesting mix of music, they do a lot of repeats. Do you like Empire State of Mind? Do you wanna hear it nine times in a row?? This may just be the place for you. Do yourself a favor - walk a couple blocks to Geary and Leavenworth. I have been going to this bar for such a long time but never have reviewed them. This is a typical Tenderloin San Francisco Bar but it is by far the best one in the area. Giants games are always on, bartenders are always nice and their prices are low for the area. I have spent a good amount of time in this bar throughout the years and that will continue. read more

Pool table, music, and a noise level that permits conversation in a regular speaking voice. Joe is everything you want from a bartender plus a warm personality that let's you know you are welcome and he's glad to see you again. I ordered a Black & Tan. Clueless bartender (12:30a.m. Sat May 21) didn't know how to make it, so he said "no charge", & made a mix of crap. I tipped him $1. Later, asked for a basic draft ($6?) He said "the last one was only a dollar". Gee i thot he said "no charge"! (his words). Extremely rude! Had heard this fave bar of mine had improved... WRONG! This is a great bar with alot of class too. I was there the other night and a bunch of whiney little brats came in causing all kinds of problems and the crew there handled them perfectly when they asked them to leave. I would have liked to seen these little kids get a spanking with the way they were acting but the bouncers just walked them out kindly. Great crew! Awesome bartender! And a guy named Pualy. This place was awesome!! Cool space, very laid back. When I went (around 6 pm) there was almost no one there. Happy hour is 12 - 7 pm. They sell a beer + a shot, and there's even a $9 option for the bartender to choose the beer and shot for you. The bartender literally made it everything. I'd be down to go back. read more

Great remodeling job! My friend had her birthday party there last night and they really did an amazing job accommodating our group and hooking us up with drinks specials.
