Such a cute community coffee spot just off 25 with great atmosphere, staff & lattes. I stopped in on a weekend on my way to Ikea in need of caffeine. They serve a variety of hot drinks, kombucha & cold drinks. Other than beverages they have baked goods and that is where they lost a star. I ordered a latte & mixed berry scone to go and was on my way to shop! Latte was fantastic! The temperature and smoothness of espresso was great but, the scone was very dry & very little berry. I was thankful for having a bev to wash it down but I couldn't finish it. Four stars because the staff was great & this is a coffee shop first and foremost, not a bakery. read more

There's also some street parking, but it can be hard to find if the area is crowded. I haven't tried any of their food items, but they look so delicious. Nixon's is one of my favorite places to grab coffee and hang out, especially in the summer when they've got the walls opened up. Their open setup allows for a lot of natural light and that is a welcome change from the typical dimly-lit coffee shops. They've got a good amount of seating and it's a Greta place to study, read or hang with friends. Super close to Wash park! I got a mocha-latte, which was rather chocolatey and very enjoyable. I don't frequent this coffee shop, but it often looks busy. I stopped there on a Saturday morning. Two things - the barista needs additional training about how to handle customers' cups. He grabbed every cup he served with his ungloved hands all around the top rim of the cup where people put their mouths! Passing cups by gripping them as near the bottom as possible ensures your fingers are not all over the area used for drinking. Also, the blueberry scone ($4) had ZERO flavor. Sometimes it's hard to find a coffee shop in a convenient location - oftentimes I'm trekking through small neighborhoods or inside giant buildings to find them, but this latest location of Nixon's is right off the highway and lightrail station! The shop is bright and spacious, with plenty of tables and seats that can accommodate a large group of people. But if you're not too much of the social type and you're just a party of one, there is also space to get work done. Aside from the caffeinated findings that populate a typical coffee shop menu (lattes, cappuccinos, espressos) there is a Venetian Cream and seasonal specials available as well! My favorite part is that their hot water is just the right temperature for brewing a good cup of tea and the pastries are spot on with how sweet they are - just enough to nicely compliment whatever you're sipping on. read more

Interesting coffee shop with a wide selection of drinks including coffee, kombucha and other stuff. Came here to study and it was an alright spot (lots of noncharging spaces) but it was overall very spacious and didnt feel cramped. Natural lighting was abundant if you were near a window otherwise normal yellow lighting (not a fan). Better coffee shop if you need more space or have a larger group. Ordered the drip coffee and it wasn't the best - very meh (mainly the reason for the 3/5). Probably wont stop by again unless I'm in the area. read more

I love Nixon's because there is so much seating! It's a good place to go on a weekend when all the coffee shops are busy. You can usually get a seat here and the big windows are dreamy. I usually get an oat milk latte and I wouldn't say it is the best in town but still good. AND they have some kombuchas on tap that are so refreshing! read more

4 out of 5 stars for this spot because the space was kind of small (not a lot of room to spread out), but overall a good experience! This place is right off the highway, in the Wash Park area. My friend and I both ordered the Venetian Creme on tap, which was very unique and yummy! They have a number of different things on tap including Kombucha, as well as traditional coffee drinks and different teas. In addition, they had a number of good looking sandwiches, breads and snacks. They had a good mix of folks working on laptops, and people hanging out. Stopped in after a haircut to try a new coffee house to get some work done. Seems a lot of others had the same idea. Filled with work types on computers as well as a few casual business meetings. Cafe has a few pastries made on sight and some pre packaged goodies if you need a little mid day snack. In addition to coffee they also serve kombucha. The cafe gets lots of light from all the south facing windows and garage doors which I'm guessing open up for warmer weather. Seems like the place does really well, my take away on stars was because $5 for a medium chai seems pretty pricey. Hope the prices are going towards paying the baristas a living wage. read more

Such a great spot! The coffee is delicious and very fairly priced! The style inside is modern and industrial. It is very clean and cozy. I love the big garage windows. I got the French cinnamon vanilla latte and my bf got the lavender latte. They have ALL the milk substitutes. Be aware though the coffees are HUGE. The large is like a bowl of soup. Highly recommend this spot for a coffee date, work, studying (if you like some noise in the background), or just a quick coffee stop! read more

This is my other go-to coffee shop, generally when I'm coming from the eastern part of town. It's right off Hampden, near one of my gyms, and right off the Englewood light-rail station. The convenience, atmosphere, generally friendly baristas, and food and drink offerings keep me coming back. It has lots of seating inside and out for relaxing or getting some work done - generally the latter for me. Free WiFi is always great. The only (minor) downside is that the floor-to-ceiling windows face west, so the setting afternoon sun gets really warm, even with the blinds down, and really heats up the space. In those occasions, an iced coffee or kombucha are perfectly refreshing. Both are good, as are the hot espresso coffee drinks. They have a selection of baked goods, too. For hot coffee, the standard latte is good. But I especially love how they make a macchiato - just the way I like it! Note: It is not the traditional macchiato, with just espresso and foam. It's made like an upside-down latte, the same way a big-name chain I dare not speak of makes it and how I learned to love it over the years. read more

I'd love to see a few more options on the menu that I could eat. Being gluten and dairy free it's hard to live outside of my bubble at times. It also feels weird to bring in outside food, but I work remote so when I come to hang out... I HANGOUT and hunger does get the best of me a times. So... while the sandwich is good and all it's not made in house and it has cheese on it so, you know... can't take it off until it's cooked and it's just all kinds of complicated for me and the poor person behind the counter. Service was so friendly and the space is clean and open. I love how they have placed for dogs to be tied up outside, since it's so close to the park! I popped in for a chai tea before a walk around Wash Park with a friend and my pup. My chai tasted funky, to be honest, and the price point of 4.80 w/tip felt steep. On the plus: 4-star cute, plus 5-star sexy mod-bar, plenty of power. On the negative: need wifi CODE? Old school cashier system, and the most damning... My espresso was pretty terrible. I don't like dark roast, so maybe it's ok if you do. On the tongue , it starts off with an earthy taste, but to my palette, not a good earthy. More like dirt. The real kicker is the nasty bitter finish that slaps you in the face. I was just in Nixon's and their sign says one price but they charged me 30% over what was on their sign. The customer service was horrible, when I pointed it out they just blamed the management for not changing the sign and he just kept saying that they had increased their prices. He flat out, multiple times, refused to refund me the difference. I even pointed out to him that this was horrible customer service and he didn't care at all. He finally begrudgingly offered me a drink coupon for a future visit. I declined and said I won't be returning. I have been to this Nixon's many times but will not be going back. They are way over charging than what they are advertising on the board right behind the register and they treat their customers horribly. Check to make sure they don't over charge you! read more

I showed up to my PT appointment an hour early and decided to get a cup of coffee while I waited for my actual appointment time. This is my first time into Nixon's and I am incredibly impressed...with the staff!! I haven't even taken a sip of my coffee and had to write this out. The gentleman working the register this morning has greeted every guest either by name or drink. Took a sip of my coffee and I gotta say the barista is as good at making a Chai Latte with a shot of espresso as she is polite and happy to answer any question. They both seem happy to work here, which is refreshing. I'll definitely stop in whenever I have PT going forward! read more

Probably one of the biggest menus I have seen at a coffee shop! I appreciated their choices of non-dairy milk (I appreciate any spot that offers oat milk) and a range of syrup flavors. I tried their iced toffee nut oat milk latte which was delicious! The baristas here are super nice, too. It is very spacious and offers a lot of seating. I came for the first time on a Friday morning expecting it to be packed but I was easily able to find a spot with a plug-in. The garage door wall is super cute but can get a bit hot to sit in front of on sunny days. Nixon's is in my favorite area, right near Wash Park and Pearl Street. Mmmm kombucha bar with 16 different flavors on tap with flight options!! Oh and the coffee, they roast Kaladi beans and my almond milk latte was solid. Garage doors make the space nice and open and the wooden bar in front of them offers an amazing space to work. A couple of bigger tables are in the middle with single tables on the back wall. The sandwiches are pre made and in the cooler case to the right of the register. They sell Kaladi beans, ground and whole bean. read more

I've been coming to this Nixon's location for almost 3 years now. The facility is always clean and comfortable. It's hands down the best coffee house in the Wash Park/Platt Park area, if not all of Denver. The owners are local and are involved with the coffee house as I have see them and spoken with them on numerous occasions. I have yet to meet an employee that is not enjoyable. They are all quality employees and very nice people. On top of all that, great coffee. Highly recommend swinging by on a Sunday morning before heading to the Pearl Street Farmers Market. read more

What a cool place!! Nice place to study with lots of windows to bring in the sun shine and a great variety for he menu. They have nitro cold brews and a Kombucha bar!! Menu is a little small with some pre-made items but the drinks overall are worth the visit! We did both he Nitro and Kombucha and both were fantastic. I came in here the week this location opened and was less than impressed. I decided to give it another chance today, because I really wanted to love it. I ordered a jasmine tea, which was quite good and something I find is surprisingly easy to mess up- so points for that. They have a pretty big selection of Starbucks-style lattes, the desserts posing as breakfast types that I think is meant to appeal to my demographic but has never really been my think. This place is decorated like most hipster places in the area, with the tastefully exposed ceiling pipes and concrete floors. I really like the concept of the garage doors facing the street, which is fun to sit by in both the winter and the summer. I also appreciate that they have individual cafe tables all across the space, not just communal bars and tables. Still, this place just isn't really for me. It somehow feels manufactured and if I want a shot of sugar and fat in the morning, I'll go to Starbucks. read more

Nitro cold brew is my weakness and Nixon has a great one. I haven't tried other drinks there, but the nitro coffee is my favorite. The staff is always friendly at 6a, there are dogs tired up outside before you walk in which is nice too. Love to be greet by fur babies :) and they have. A breakfast sandwich selection but never tried them. Highly recommended stopping in for a cup as they have a good location to i25 but you can easily pass them. read more
