    Complimentary puff
    Debbie V.

What a fun girlie place to lunch! We took a break from shopping and relaxed here. We were seated on the patio. Great ambience. We started with a complimentary broth and yummy puff (like a big puffy crusty popover) and their strawberry butter. Their drink special was a margarita, the server gave us a taste but we decided it was a little too sweet so we each had a buttery Chardonnay. We wanted something light for lunch so we both had a bowl of soup. I had the tomato basil and my friend had the tortilla soup. Both were delicious. There were lots of options to choose from, salads, sandwiches, etc. This place is always a delight!

I was really looking forward to attending my birthday celebration with my friend at the cafe. I love Neiman Marcus, so I expected a five-star experience. Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside on the patio. We made the wrong choice! The inside is busy but the outside heaters were so high we were sweating. Also, there is no view so you are not missing much by sitting inside except for more room. The waiter was very busy as they were understaffed. We were initially served with soup tasters, but I thought they were tea or cider, so I took a big sip and almost choked on the salt. (The waiter should have told us they were soup, not tea or cider!). I then ordered a beet and goat cheese salad, but the beets were undercooked, and there was very little goat cheese. My friend ordered the french fries that were also undercooked. I do plan to go back to this venue for a glass of wine, but I don't recommend the food. I have had much better popovers in New Jersey (more egg/less dry), and I will sit at the bar next time. Finally, they ran out of Sav. Blanc, so I hope to have a glass next time! @toastofluxury

This was my first time here. I had heard so much about how fun it was to catch a quick bite there. What a disappointment ! We were directed to a tiny, tiny table . When I sat down I felt like I was literally sitting in the lap of the person to my right. We hardly talked over lunch as there was a total lack of privacy The conversation from the people next to us overwhelmed us. The chicken salad was tasteless. The turkey on the sandwich was also tasteless. The tomato vegetable soup was nice, but could have been served hotter The popover was an interesting alternative to the usual bread roll. Although I would suggest during baking vents are put in the sides to allow the choux pastry to breathe and dry out. There was to much uncooked dough inside The strawberry butter was rather tasty. The chicken broth that we were presented with on being seated was very salty and added nothing to the dining experience

Popovers, salads, and sandwiches... yes, please! Not sure why it took me all these years to make my way to NM Cafe, but better late than never... It was somewhat of a special occasion as this may have been my "last lunch" with Lindsey F before the baby arrives, so I wanted to try somewhere new. While it was a bit of a splurge, I was super pleased with the experience. (I guess you have to expect that going in, just as you have to expect when shopping at Neiman Marcus!) Stephanie was our waitress and she was awesome. She refilled my Arnold Palmer and water several times without me even asking... I was in love at first bite with those popovers and berry butter... I even contemplated asking for a second one, since my first one was so delicious, but my chopped salad was very filling, so I didn't want to overdo it. Lindsey seemed to enjoy her veggie wrap sandwich (which she added turkey to) and sweet potato fries. I'm not watching my diet right now since I'm eating for two, but I do like the fact that they put the # of calories on the menu for each item. There are plenty of healthy options and everything that I saw being served looked fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back to NM Cafe again real soon... it may even become a regular in my rotation of favorite lunch places near work and home.

Perfection! Discreet patio with socially - distanced seating. Servers who are friendly and work as a team. The spiced iced tea is heavenly. The NM burger is great (add avocado). The spicy mayo is delicious. And of course the one and only chocolate chip cookie. Served warm so the chocolate is melting. A must-do experience in Fashion Square!

Turkey Sandwich was dry, tasteless and left an awful after taste. Chicken tortilla soup was decent.

Many have raved about this place so we decided to pop in on a break from shopping to have lunch. It's a dull and rather lackluster restaurant where the seating is too close in proximity and a real lack of privacy; in other words, uncomfortable. The Popover with Strawberry Butter was unimpressive, the Strawberry Butter slightly redeemed it. Although, after one bite I put it to the side. We ordered a tasteless Chicken Salad and Turkey Sandwich with Tomato Vegetable and Chicken Tortilla Soup. The soups were tasty and the Chicken Tortilla had a good amount of kick. The Turkey was dry and tasteless, making it hard to eat and I found myself swigging water with each bite. Both the lettuce and tomato were not fresh and the bread...hard. Unfortunately, will not be returning to this establishment.

Great attentive staff - pop overs are to die for. Love all of the salads. It is a hidden gem in Fashion Square mall.

love this place inside neimans . The food is yummy and so pretty. The service is great, upholding the NM name of course . I've had 2 lunch meetings here so it's perfect for the business man or woman to eat and get some stuff done !

Flavors…read morewere all on point and as expected from the components on the menu, which doesn't happen often in Phoenix. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. There were some real highlights, but also enough misses to keep it from being a five-star visit. The standout of the evening was the service. Lari ("Lotti") took excellent care of us--attentive without being intrusive and genuinely welcoming. Even after we paid the bill, we never felt rushed to leave, which made for a relaxed evening catching up with friends. The cocktails were also outstanding. I ordered the Shuttlecock, a unique combination of vodka, sauvignon blanc, and prickly pear that was incredibly refreshing and perfect for a hot Arizona evening. The wine list is approachable rather than overwhelming, making it easy to find something enjoyable by the glass or bottle. We started with the Kilt Lifter Fondue, which was ideal for our group of four. The combination of sausage, bread, sliced pears, and creamy cheese fondue was delicious and a great way to kick off the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees were inconsistent. My wife's meatloaf was excellent, but my short ribs were noticeably dry. The tart cherry BBQ glaze was also much more tart and bitter than expected and didn't complement the meat particularly well. Our friends, however, couldn't stop talking about the chopped salads, which are mixed tableside and seem to be one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Dessert was another miss. We shared the featured rum cake with raspberries and strawberries, but the cake itself was dry. The atmosphere is also a bit deceptive. At first glance, the low lighting and cozy booths suggest an intimate dining experience, but the noise level was surprisingly high. It was difficult to carry on a conversation without raising our voices. Overall, we had a decent time thanks to the great service, cocktails, and appetizers. That said, the noise level and inconsistency in the food make me hesitant to return for another full dinner. I would consider coming back to try the chopped salad for myself, though.

It consisted of chopped romaine, parmigiano reggiano, garlic pangrattato, & caesar dressing. 10/10. I love Caesar salads and this one was definitely unique! For my main course, I ordered the Wagyu NY strip which was cooked to legitimate perfection. Medium, tender & melt in your mouth. 1,000/10. It was served with olive oil smashed potato, seasonal vegetables, & chimichurri. I finished every morsel of this plate, that's how amazing it was! My entire meal at Elements was one for the books. I highly recommend eating dinner here for the views and sunset, even if you're not directly staying there at the hotel grounds. Incredible evening!

The staff has no problem taking pictures for you with the beautiful background which was really nice of them. I have to eat gluten and dairy free and ordered the market fish. I had to get it without the sauce because the sauce had dairy. Instead of substituting, they just gave me a plain fish with nothing on it, not even salt. In addition, my husband was supposed to get extra vegetables in lieu of gnocchi and he got 6 small slivers of squash. My plate had more than his with "extra vegetables". I might give this place another chance, but the food was a let down for us. The gluten free/dairy free dessert option added 1 star to my initial 3 star review.
