The space has windows and is bright and airy, but also has enough spaces inside and out for seating. The best part was how the windows show the sunshine as well as the relaxing garden space of the church. It was a super relaxing feel and made me want to sit and read or have a quiet chat. The owner has brought in some foods from Greece that are harder to find, as well as bakes drag spanikopita and other baked goods. When we arrived the smell of freshly baked pastries wafted over us and I got super excited! She has lots of sweets and take aways as well as delicious Greek coffee and teas. We were so impressed with our pastry and frappe, very authentic. Delicious! One of my favorite spots so far and it transported me to Greece. We would go back for sure and highly recommend a visit! The cookies were so buttery and flaky and perfectly baked. Light as a feather and just sweet enough for the cup of coffee. Amazing! Go and check them out. Delicious and friendly and peaceful which is an ideal coffee shop vibe!

Spinach spanikopita had a decent amount of stuffing and a good portion size for a snack. What a gem this spot is! Can't wait to come back for more, but giving my sweet tooth a break for now.

A huge thank you to the General Manager, Fernando. He was incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. The entire space is just beautiful, spotless, and has the best vibe. Our server, Audrey, was the absolute sweetest. She was attentive and friendly, making sure our coffee was always topped off and our food arrived perfectly hot. She truly made our morning by being on top of things. It's rare to find a place where both the food and the hospitality are this flawless nowadays. Thank you, Fernando and Audrey, for a wonderful start to our Sunday.

Likely from the empty echo chamber of social media. Old people congregate here and just sort of open mouth stare at everyone around them in a sort of obliviousness. The gaping maws on par with Moby Dick or Fenris the Wolf itself. Numerous times I've gone there it's hard to get the attention of the staff for a refill etc. This seems like a business which would benefit from full automation like robot waitstaff. Food is good and the portions are great. Price is reasonable though. Business is clean and the bathrooms are spotless.

Bonjour Please, when you visit, take your time. Savor the moment and the flavors. Relax and enjoy…read morethe comfort in the food. My recent experiences have been for breakfast and I am grazing through the menu finding plate after plate to be up to what Mark Tarbell would call "elevated". That, and transported to what could be a mom and pop restaurant in Paris for solid nutrition with all the flavors intact. Au revoir. A bientot.

Tried Merci French Café & Patisserie on Indian School Rd, and it's one of those places that makes…read moreyou feel like you should be wearing sunglasses and pretending you're "just popping in for a little pastry." (I did not. I ordered a full breakfast and a waffle like an adult with priorities.) I went around 9:15am on a Wednesday--only a few tables were occupied, and the staff was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast. Inside is dialed in with chandeliers, French-y posters and photos everywhere, and a pastry case with tarts, pastries, and cheesecake that basically dares you to behave. The croissant was the star... fresh, flaky, light, buttery... exactly what you want. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted into it almost like a mini omelette (loved that). My only hiccup was the "bacon." It leaned more limp pork belly than crispy bacon and had a distinct smoke flavor that wasn't the traditional hardwood/hickory vibe I'm used to. Also... because the cheese and egg are fused together, it's basically impossible to pick the bacon out once it's in there. Next time I'd order it without bacon or ask for it on the side and make it crispy. It came with a side salad, which is not what I expected with breakfast, but it was actually great, fresh spring mix and a delicious dressing with a subtle sweet undertone. There were also hash browns with a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior, exactly the texture you hope for I just wish there were more of them! Because I have no self-control around French cafes, I also ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and tasty, more tender/soft than crispy, and I ended up preferring it to the 'scrape the roof of your mouth' style that most restaurants serve up. The whipped cream tasted freshly whipped and the fruit selection was generous. My only critique: I'd skip the granulated sugar on top. The waffle is sweet enough already, and biting into sugar crystals isn't my favorite texture. For a drink I tried the blueberry lavender matcha. It had crushed blueberries in it, but the matcha flavor was pretty mild and the lavender got lost. I also would've liked a touch more sweetness from the syrup but overall it drank a bit "soft" and subtle. Bottom line... really cool little spot with friendly service, quick food, and a pastry case that will absolutely ruin any plan you had to "just eat light." I'll be back but next time I'm customizing that croissant sandwich and letting the pastries talk me into bad decisions.

The excellence service and hospitality is the reason I would take time to write this review. It's an "order at the counter and you find a table to sit" place. As this was our first time here, we were kinda confused. Iris, the general manager, with the big smile like sunshine, was very welcoming and explained the menu to us. She came check if we were doing well a few times. The other staff also had his big smile when he gave us our foods and drinks. Iris and her team is the cherry on top of our whole experience. The food was honestly terrible--bland, poorly prepared, and tasted like it had been sitting around for far too long. None of our meals were enjoyable, and we ended up leaving most of the food untouched. What made the experience even worse was the manager whose name was Iris. Instead of listening to our concerns or trying to make things right, she was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. Her attitude turned an already disappointing meal into a completely frustrating experience. A good manager knows how to handle customer complaints with respect, but that certainly wasn't the case here. Between the awful food and the poor customer service, I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience
