I know that there are a string of Noah's bagels in the SoCal area but the service at this particular location warrants a stellar review. I stopped here to refuel with a group of cyclists after a long ride. The manager (Felton, I believe was his name) and employee Cee were so kind! They sent out a bunch of free pastries to our group and told us to have a safe ride. I thought that was extremely kind. Furthermore, they kept the line moving quickly and got our sandwiches made in record speed. This location is also well kept in terms of cleanliness and layout. It's small but there a decent amount of seating. The parking situation looks sticky but hassle free by bike! Not sure about the other locations but I'd stop here again any time. read more

My major dislikes is that it's a bagel not a steakhouse dinner but it just looked like they slapped/skimped a bit of cream cheese on and didn't even spread it and tossed the tomatoes on it. Biggest dislike was that when you get charged by card the tip options show up as $1/$2$/$3 doesn't even give you a chance to put no tip or % of 15-20 The approach is just off putting. I had a talk with the employees and manager. I asked because everyone seemed to concerned. Some guy peed all over the hallway and didn't wait til he was inside the restroom. Very disgusting. Manager said it was okay and was giving him the benefit of the doubt. As a woman , that is not anywhere near okay. How is it okay for a man to be showing his genitals and peeing everywhere and saying it's okay, when all your employees are females. He made me feel uncomfortable from how much he was defending the guy that I left, I can only imagine how his employees felt in which were all girls, they didn't look very happy and looked uncomfortable. Manager gave us free drinks, but will not be coming back. How do you not speak up for your employees who are females when they're telling you that's not okay. There is kids everywhere in Manhattan beach especially young little girls so how is that okay for a man to do that. My review may be biased as I have been away from fresh made bagels for some time. But the bagels were excellent ... Got the everything bagel and french toast bagel, which didn't disappoint. Iced mocha coffee and caramel macchiato taste better and are better priced than Starbucks. A few cons though. You can never go wrong here. The expedited service and happy staff make the experience that much better. Suggestion: always ask for a list of the freshest bagels. It makes a difference if you arrive around 11am. Parking is good but keep tabs on the meters since they are always out in full force! Salmon smear, you have my eternal devotion. I could eat a vat of that stuff and not get sick of it... assuming I don't get a heart attack from all that cream cheese. The smear is great. The bagels are great. But the coffee... the coffee is for cleaning toilets. It's always scalding HOT when it comes out of the carafes. We have to let the cup sit for 5+ min before braving the tiniest of sips. Just tastes like scorching hot dark water. Someone needs to train the employees. Tell them that you never make coffee with boiling water. Why? Cause the fragrant oils start to burn and the flavor profiles change. Might as well drink Folgers at that point. I wish this was a Western Bagel instead. The variety of bagels aren't impressive, and is it me or each time I eat from here the bagels, which are always poorly toasted when asked, feel and taste like someone sat on them, flat, TOO SOFT/doughy, again and again (maybe thats their thing I dont know) and underwhelming flavor. I ordered the bacon jalapeno maybe there 1/2 a piece of bacon on it, each time. Felton is the man though, and should be nominated and win Manhattan City employee of the year, every year. I've always had really good experiences with Noah's Bagels, not at their stores, but from people who brought their amazing bagel packs with delicious in-house cream cheese selections. So imagine my delight when I found this adorable shop sitting on the coast of Manhattan Beach. Sadly, of the only three or so times I've visited this adorable shop, I've left all times wondering if maybe all the yummy bagels my friends brought to gatherings were actually from elsewhere because those bagel packs showed me just how top-quality they are in terms of their food and service. Their delicious bagels were always packaged neatly with meticulously labeled tubs of cream cheese tucked neatly away and everyone commented how thoughtful the service was. But so far all the times I've ordered something to eat in, the staff were less than welcoming often looking put-off by the customers in line and my bagels or sandwiches came out tough and burned or made sloppily. I most recently had their turkey club sandwich and it was a mess, just a mess. Before I even unwrapped my sandwich, there were sauce and avocado smears just all over and the sandwich refused to stay together. I took my first bite and something went *thunk* and fell out of my sandwich and I saw a chunk of onion the shape of a cube had escaped. I stared at it wondering what uncivilized mind had thought to make a sandwich with onions cut to the size of grapes. Of course, my sandwich wouldn't stay together, whoever made this apparently had precariously stacked sloppily cut ingredients like it's the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then remedied it by wrapping it in paper while their hands are covered in all its spillage. One of my bites actually had one of these onion chunks so big it was like I took a bite out of it like it was an apple and I was having a fit, coughing and my eyes tearing up. My husband next to me wasn't looking happy either with his Pastrami Reuben. He loves pastrami sandwiches and thought he couldn't go wrong with pastrami, but his sandwich too was made sloppily, the innards stacked unevenly and by some wizardry, his bagel was soggy although the pastrami was dry-tasting. Although this shop's location is in the perfect spot on our favorite beach, we stopped visiting because we always left feeling like we made the wrong choice on this foodie's heaven of a street. Our bellies full, we leave staring wistfully at neighboring restaurants. They're not the cheapest meal option there either so it's not as though the bad service can be justified as a result of a budget option. I'm still hanging on to my good feelings for their bagels as they're still excellent. The food in themselves is great. The problem is that the delivery is inconsistent. I know this because some of the pictures on here show some great-looking pristine sandwiches made beautifully with ingredients stacked perfectly. Service - 2 The workers that I interacted with are nice but not competent. The cashier made me tear out the receipt from the machine on my own. He just watched it come out of the machine & said "there it is" as he walked away. He also forgot to give me the cup for coffee that I ordered and the water cup I asked for. Open Salmon Lox Bagel! We drove here just to try their salmon lox and we were not disappointed! Their smoked salmon was so fresh!! Portions are huge so definitely recommend splitting an open salmon lox between two people. I only come here for Felton! I've lived in MB forever but only recently started coming to Noah's. The first time I visited, Felton, the manager, rang me up and I remember thinking I wish I had his awesome and cheery disposition. He needs to write a book on customer service! What a great guy. Everyone behind the counter is extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have about their bagels or how you'd like something customized, they love to help! What makes these bagels so darnn tasty is they are fresh and fluffy, you can tell these are made daily, the closest thing to New York Bagels as you can get on the West Coast. I couldn't believe how squishy and light the bagels are... and they offer up quite the variety of choice too with the regulars represented and some fun things peppered in too (asiago cheese, chocolate chip, etc.) and then they have a plethora of "schmear" choices (the smoked salmon is where it's at). The schmear is generously applied, the price is right, the bagel is just a bit over a dollar and with schmear/toasted is $2.75. Quality for the price and high quality at that, don't purchase your bagels from those darn overpriced coffee shops... those are frozen/thawed... you can get fresh-made bagels here for half the price. read more

Parking is not ideal, but hey you need to get your breakfast! The employees are very friendly and john at the register is very nice! They take your order and then have another employee get your order ready. Your food comes out fast and hot! I ordered the chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It was really good. They have combos if you don't want to customize your own order. Seating is limited inside but there are a couple of tables outside of the store. The patio is teeny tiny but it has the most gorgeous view of the ocean...The salty air wafts in your face while the palm trees sway...Sometimes you can even hear the waves crash...So relaxing, so peaceful, so perfect... The reason is because I can have my bagel just how I like it with a medium cup of dark roast coffee for $3.99. Nothing more. It can be a little packed at times. You can always go fight the line at Starbucks, and then you'll be a little more grateful for the brisk 5 minute wait you'll endure for the best bagel you have ever stuffed in your loud mouth. My tip.
