Let's start with pros - Ambiance and decor - 5 stars, very elegant, tables spaced far enough away, and nice decor. It's a white table cloth establishment, but also has a homey casual feel so you get the best of both worlds. Food - lobster roll, although I'd say a little heavy on the mayo the lobster was cooked incredibly well and it was very delicious. Crab Tacos - for not a taco place, these tacos were superb. Would definitely recommend. Very small portion, but big flavor. Ribeye - Nice, but some of the other options were better. Oysters and muscles we as expected, very satisfied but nothing crazy. Crab Cake - a bit over charred, nice flavor. Cons- Respect as a patron - there is an older woman that mans the door and she might be the most unpleasant person we met in all of Greenport. She had a general lack of respect for people and made the experience a bit trained. The restaurant was mostly empty, we showed up 10 minutes for our reservation and she scowled and said they were not ready and we had to go to the bar. This makes me confused because if you have reservations coming in and no one is there, why aren't you preparing the tables? Also, they did look ready, so why didn't she seat us? Also, why be rude? General experience - I felt uncomfortable after being seated, the server offered free champagne because she could tell we were all so taken aback. (We were appreciative.) The staff seemed nervous and timid, like they couldn't actually be themselves or have a personality. We tried to connect with our waitress, but she just wasn't having it. It was just weird and hard to explain, but it did make things more awkward than they should have been. She was foreign, so maybe it was just sarcasm she didn't understand. At one point my friend asked for a plastic to go bag, the lady again scowled and said they didn't have plastic bags and turned away. My friend lingered and said, do you have paper? She gave a heavy sigh and reluctantly gave her a paper bag. Again, just so unnecessary. My husband and I had a vey good lunch at Noah's this week. We decided for small plates, tapas, and white wine. We had a nicely presented Peel and eat Jumbo Shrimp ( just cooked and served with very tasty aioli on a crushed ice base), tuna tartar, green fried tomatoes and warm endive salad. Came here for appetizers and drinks however, was so disappointed by our cocktails and service that we left without eating. I ordered a dirty martini made with tanqueray and what i received was a glass of olive juice with lemon. The martini was so salty it tasted like a cold cup of the long island sound after a storm. I was truly taken aback so i asked the bartender what happened and they insisted that i asked for lemon in it which was odd. It was completely opaque super salty and oddly sour with the lemon. We had dinner here last Monday. We.brought our dog and was able to get a seat outside. It took a second for our waiter to come out, but that was OK. The weather was beautiful and we were in no rush. We ordered cocktails that were really nice. We had the tacos and corn as an appetizer. They were both really yummy. We had the corn risotto and tuna with bok choy for our entrees. Coming in with a large bachelorette group and the only vegan I made sure to scope out the menu before hand. They have really great vegetable options and even a tofu one. There were no vegan friendly mains but the sides were enough and tasty. I had the tofu skewer, the local mushroom side and the stuffed autumn squash. The mushrooms were truly amazing and a shining 10/10. The tofu and squash were a little sweet for my palate but that's really just me being picky. I went to Noah's during restaurant week. I had the salad with apples, walnuts and cheese, one of the best salads I had recently. My main course was Swordfish with ratatouille. The fish was cooked just right and the ratatouille was delicious with the bread. For dessert I had the hazelnut apple which was also amazing. Last night my dinner party included my son-in-law and his family from Spain. He gallantly translates from English to Spanish and back again menus to his parents so that they can enjoy the meal. However last night the server did not appreciate that he was translating and that the order may take longer to take as he was translating. The server had no time for that and curtly answered legitimate questions with a shrug. My son in law asked if he could share three dishes, two from small plates and on dish from the large plates menu and was told he could. Then the plates arrived they, received no plates for sharing. At no time did the server ask if everything was all right nor welcome us. While the dishes arrived on time they were served with little politeness. We split the bill and my son-in-law gave a small tip and the server came to ask him did he make a mistake in the tip. He said no. and we left. I do not recommend this place to people whose first language is not English. read more

Top drawer meal from start to finish at Noah's! Lovely restaurant, attentive staff and...the food!! The yellowfin tuna tartare with avo, jalapeño and soy vinaigrette was outstanding. I love yellow fin tuna in all its guises and this really hit the mark. Perfectly balanced to respect the quality of the fish. We followed up with the lump crab cakes, perfectly cooked filet mignon sliders, and an outstanding duck confit. I finished with an affogato - simple but well done ending to a great dining experience. I also loved the wine selection - some fantastic local wines from Bedell, Lieb and Kontokosta among others, as well as a selection from further afield. I would recommend trying local pairings - I was surprised by the quality but shouldn't have been; I guess these places were only a secret to me! Noah's clearly takes patrons' health and safety seriously - we felt very comfortable throughout and really enjoyed the experience which is important in these difficult times. Don't really understand what all the hype is about this restaurant. It's fine but no where near extraordinary. We started off with the Calamari frito... I have to say that was the best part of the meal... it was a melange of fried squid, rock shrimp, string beans and squash all perfectly fried. I had the warm lobster roll... it was ok but nothing amazing and certainly not rising to the position of being something considered one of their signature dishes. My daughter had one of their specials of the night... tuna poke bowl. We stumbled upon this cute little place while in Greenport over the weekend. The interior of Noah's is just as amazing as their food! From the appetizer to dinner to dessert- everything was great! Noah's is a very good restaurant on Front Street in Greenport. A little bit hipsterish if that's a word but the food & drinks are very good. It's also good to know that they don't frown on sharing so mixing up some small plates before your entree is a good idea, especially for groups of 3 or more. In the last few years a lot of restaurants have popped up in the area, price wise this is upper side of middle of the road. In closing the Kobe burger is one of the best I've had so stop there for that if you can't decide. Happy dining. read more

Had a delicious meal at this place while visiting from NYC. Ordered a raspberry Cosmo, and it was great because I tend to enjoy sweet cocktails and this was perfect. My fiancé ordered a jalapeño cocktail which he loved as well. The food was excellent- I highly recommend getting a few of the smaller plates. For my entree I had the steak sliders and the heirloom salad which was amazing and my fiancé enjoyed his lobster roll. My only complaint is that we waited forever to get water and had to ask several times, and after spending the day on the water it was really needed. read more

To finish off a culinary Thanksgiving weekend in NY, we returned to our Greenport favorite, Noah's. This is our third visit, and Noah's never disappoints. For one, the service is consistently great. All the servers, be they male or female, are model material and incredibly professional without being stiff or overbearing. And then there is the food! We really enjoy the tapas style menu, so we can order a variety. Today we picked a variety. The crab deviled eggs were as good as ever. Jack's favorite was the tuna tartare which was presented seared, chopped, mixed with avocado, spices, topped with a seaweed salad, served with baguette sliced croutons. Although the bread added a pleasant crunch, the dish could be more appreciated without the crunch. Both flavors and textures were better presented by tasting the tartare solo. My favorite were the crab tacos. A delicious crab salad served in a small crispy corn tortilla. Yum-O! The lamb meatballs with hummus were also fantastic. Flavors reminiscent of Morocco! The chef is really a master of flavors. We will keep coming back on our trips to the North Fork. read more

We were very disappointed with the Kobe beef burger that we had the other night. Especially since Noah's is our favorite restaurant on the North Fork with, I feel, delicious and consistently good food. First, the burger wasn't hot (or charred enough), the cold slab of tomato on top cooled the temperature even more and the bun wasn't warm let alone toasted. All this made for a non-pleasurable experience. The fries were industrial so we couldn't even enjoy them. Really, Shake Shack burgers are better! I do remember having had a decent burger at Noah's a few years ago. It seems the kitchen staff should be retrained to turn out burgers the way they should be done. read more

Noah's was one of my favorite restaurants in Greenport. Today my family and I were discriminated by the hostess, Yasmin. When we arrived at around 4:30, the restaurant was empty with the exception of a few people at the bar. In front of us were a white family whom were given a priority of which table to sit at by the windows. When I personally asked, Yasmin stated that she could not sit us by the window because she had to "extend" those tables later. When I asked why that family was allowed to sit there, she stated, "I'm the hostess!" When I asked her name she rolled her eyes and said "Yasmin." She the walked away. My family and I felt that were treated unfairly because we were a latino family. Ironically, I believe she was also. We decided to leave and stated to her That her attitude and customer service was disgusting. She stated, "I really don't care what you think!" My brother stated to her that we would write a negative review. She stated that our review wouldn't have an impact and again stated, "I really don't care what you do!" We went to American Beech where we got amazing service! I highly recommend! If you are a someone of color, beware of Yasmin, she'll put you all the way in back in an empty restaurant. read more

Right on the Main Street in Greenport is a culinary treasure. I would call the decor "minimalist", but I don't dine for decor.... I wanted seafood, I came to the right place! I had the clam chowder. BEST I have ever had. Not too creamy, lots of clams. 10 out of 10! I followed it with the Seafood Stew. OMG! Good eats! The broth base was amazing with tons (figuratively, not literally) of shellfish, fish bites throughout the entire bowl of yuminess. Go there... go there now. Great quaint place for a nice meal. The inside has a great calming feel. We started with the Kale salad, calamari, and pulled duck BBQ over polenta. The polenta came out cold but the other two dishes were great. Also side note but the bread is very yummy!! Kale salad is garnished with pine nuts which was a nice addition. Despite the polenta being cold the BBQ pulled duck was actually really tasty. For entrees, we tried the spring veggie Risotto and paella. The dishes were just ok. The risotto was not a great consistent and lacking in flavor. The paella was good overall but was not cooked evenly throughout. I wouldn't recommend either. It's fancy, with upscale food and decor, while still being down to earth and very kid friendly. Not cheap but outstanding value. The food we ordered was prepared with care, seasoned well, cooked perfectly and visually amazing. I had the seafood stew. It was off the chart delicious. My wife had the hanger steak.
