Well this place has been around for quite some time. It has really grown and the food is remarkable. The menu has great sharing food, crab devil eggs are one of my favorites. The menu switches up so, one of my favorites is the lobster roll. Noah's knows how to present the food, the staff is very well trained and the bartenders are impressive. Noah's has a wonderful menu! You can choose a lot of small bites to share for the table or you can go all the way with a big dish! Hubby and I shared the mini lobster rolls: delicious! And we also got the pulled duck meat with BBQ sauce on top of creamy polenta. This was supposed to be a small plate, but it was huge!!!! It tasted good, but it was my least favorite flavor combo of the evening! I ordered the burger, well done, with avocado and bacon. It was delicious. I had to send the patty back to the grill, I like mine brown all the way, which I said when I ordered and it was still wayyyyy pink. Gross (to me!!). Hubby got the steak au poivre. My fries were thick cut, his were thin. Both dishes were delicious!!! Our friends ordered the small plate mussels with the meat in the broth. That too was a pretty big plate and it smelled delicious! The outdoor seating at Noah's was pleasant and the food was good, but not great. Their bouillabaisse broth was excellent, but the shellfish inside was overcooked and chewy. Fish and chips was pricey and pedestrian. Our side order of french fries with gorgonzola cheese and rosemary was definitely the highlight of the dinner. The waitress was pushing alcoholic drinks and seemed annoyed that we weren't ordering any, while the bus boys were attentive and well trained. The overall experience was hit and miss. read more

My friends took me to Noah's for my birthday this weekend. The food was amazing, the service was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and their cocktails. We ordered the olives, hummus, roasted garlic, bread, etc as apps. We had Martinis, scotch, dark and stormy, the spicy cosmo, and some wine. Then we ordered 3x filet mignon sliders, asparagus, mushrooms, duck bbq, oysters, salad, and a few other small plates to share. Everything was sooooo good!!! For our entrees we had the skirt steak, duck confit, fish and chips, and vegetable risotto. Their portions are small but they pack a punch of flavor and the ingredients are paired very well. Then we had cake and ice cream for dessert. The bill was a lot, but we all left very full and we really enjoyed each dish. The service was good, they were busy and we did have to wait a while for a food, but it was 100% worth it!!! Our waiter was friendly and he was quite funny. He was very busy running around the restaurant helping tables inside and out. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you get a lot of small plates and "tastes" to split and share. With a trip to the wineries here, the person working directed us to Noah's for some seafood. The ambiance was great- quiet, spaced out, large bar, and lots of Christmas decor. The servers were very nice and accommodating. On the special for the night was the Peconic Scallops! Delicious. Smoky and sweet! The grilled octopus skewers were amazing! I was looking forward to eating here as it was my first time in Greenport and heard good things but to be honest, my experience fell short. The best thing I ate at this restaurant were the crab cakes and the lobster rolls/fries. The decor of the restaurant is really cute and they are very heavy handed on the mix drinks if you're looking for that kind of night. It definitely was overpriced and overall, I wouldn't come back here for dinner but maybe for a quick lunch to go. read more

AMAZING! I do not yelp often but when I do you know it is going to be good. The decor and atmosphere was perfect but the food was absolutely great. My wife and I both agree this may be one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in years, if not ever! We eat at many nice restaurants so it is not like we do not go out to eat normally so this is a bold statement. I got the skirt steak special which was phenomenal, my wife got the lobster roll. We got the crab tacos and buffalo cauliflower for appetizer and both were very good. We also split the carrots "small plate" as a side during dinner and it was packed with flavor! I feel bad leaving a not-so-great review, but I'm a bit salty over my recent experience here. We went here on 11/9 for dinner (conveniently it was restaurant week). We arrived a bit before our reservation and sat at the bar (there were four of us). The bartender took drinks from three of our party, and after the third ordered a couple next to us asked me where I was from, to which I took 10 seconds to explain half of us were local, and half were from the city. In that time, the bartender walked away and grabbed the drinks for the others in my group. I tried ordering when she brought the drinks back, and she completely ignored me. For the next TWENTY minutes, nobody in my party could get her to speak to us. Eventually someone spoke up since it was my birthday asking if I can get a drink and it's been 20 minutes, and she very, very rudely responded "I asked him what he wanted but he was too busy chatting with people." I stared at her blankly for about 5 seconds and again she said "I did ask you, and you were too busy talking, right?" to which again I just stare at her directly for 5 seconds before saying "You never approached me or spoke to me at all. Maybe you glanced at me but you sure as hell never spoke to me, and I was only talking for a few seconds when they asked where we were from" Anyway she was pretty rude. Our table was ready at this point so we left the bar and grabbed our table. As soon as we stood up, the bartender grabbed one of my friends drinks and dumped it out (it was still half full)! Our waiter was awesome though and finally got me a drink (and comped it), as well as replacing the tossed drink. Looking back at the bar it was apparent that: 1) The bartender was a bit over her head 2) The bar was understaffed for the amount of people that were there. The food was pretty good however. One of my chicken skewer sticks was on fire when it was brought to the table however (guessing they sticks weren't soaked beforehand). I burnt one of my fingers pretty badly on the stick even after letting it cool quite a while, but I was a little impatient at this point! Anyhoo I'm sure the restaurant is typically better staffed than this. The food is definitely worth it, but this bartender was very, very nasty (she was even yelling at other staff members), so I won't visit this place if I see her behind the bar (if she's not there I'd give it a go). Hopefully someone just called out sick, but if not, they should look to have more barstaff during such busy times, and maybe get more pleasant people behind the bar. read more

We tried a bite from Noah's at the Taste of Two Forks earlier in the summer. We knew we had to try the actual restaurant when visiting Greenport! Went for lunch on a weekday, very quiet. Nice clean atmosphere with beautiful aquatic artwork all over the restaurant. Well-lit; I recommend a seat by the window for the view! Our server was knowledgeable, our orders were accurate, and the food tasted great! Had the lobster sliders and oyster po' boys, as well as the tuna poke and calamari/rock shrimp frito misto. All of the seafood was fresh and each dish carefully prepared. I was surprised that our lobster rolls and calamari came out in paper trays on ceramic plates; this seemed out-of-character for such a nice restaurant. Perhaps a different way to present them? For the 4 dishes and a drink our bill came to $70. Well worth the money for such fine food! We has a nice time and an excellent lunch. We will definitely be back! read more

Crazy good food, and I'm a foodie. Brought there by a friend who is a regular and knows how into great restaurants we are, and I was not disappointed. We shared several of the small plates and each dish was extraordinary! Seems like the perfect restaurant, great local food, hip atmosphere, and def not stuffy. Been coming to Greenport for 10 years and have frequently stopped in at Noahs. Over the years have found it to be pretty good - solid wine list and nice food. Also, we really like the vibe. But this past weekend, the food disappointed to a level that I think we would pass it by next time. The ambiance is good, but the service is not great. We came in at 9 pm on a saturday night and we know the kitchen closes at 10. We were quick to order drinks (decent) and salads (the beets+ figs and the kale salad, both really really good) and enjoyed them. Then we ordered the seafood stew - which at $35 is one of the most expensive entrees available. It took 25 minutes, was served without spoons, and was tantamount to some jarred tomato sauce poured over mussels. How can you make seafood stew without actually having a stock? How can you make seafood stew and add one fork sized piece of fish? How can you say there's lobster and shrimp in it and only have one shrimp? How can you burn the toast points? How can the broth be THAT BAD? How can the flavor be that bland? it was muscles with tomato sauce on it, NOT seafood stew. Shame on you. And we still didn't get spoons to eat it. There are lots of good places to eat in Greenport now, and Noah's will not be on our list from now on. read more

We were randomly walking around Greenport on a Friday night around 7pm trying to find a place to have dinner when we stumbled on Noah's. The dining room, painted sea-foam green, with fish prints on the walls and a long marble bar. We sat at the bar since was pretty much empty. I asked to try their white wine on tap but unfortunately was warm so I went with a different option. Noah's is a small-plate restaurant, with five full plates as their larger entrees option. We have been going here for about 6 years and stopped about 2 years ago as the menu was too seafood focused (like every other place in Greenport) and to be honest, the last time we went, the portions were so tiny we left very unsatisfied. I think they were trying to make the food look too "precious ". So we went last weekend after reviewing the menu and seen that they had added other things other than predominately seafood. I had an absolutely delicious ribeye steak with fingerling potatoes that were outstanding. My partner had the mahi-mahi and said it was absolutely delicious. They definitely upped their game with the amount of food they gave and the price was extremely fair versus so many North Fork restaurants that are ridiculously expensive. This review is for the truck only, we just yesterday went to Corey Creek Twilight event and were looking forward to taco night and some wine plus music. After we paid our $5 cover per person to get in which was fine for free music, we headed inside. We checked the table while walking through and saw a Noah's menu for the night, and that is when everything went downhill... 2 tacos for $15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We wanted to walk right back out, but since we paid our cover even though we were starving we waited for a friend to arrive. We decided on getting some chips... $7 and 8 store bought chips later and enough guacamole to put on about 3 of those chips we were starving even more. I write this review because people rave about Noah's but we have been in the restaurant and now to the truck and all our friends agree, it does not live up to the hype. My review in one word: over-rated. Our first impression was that of the menu being pretty boring. Usually, we'd have a hard time deciding on what to order because everything looks so appealing, but on this occasion it was quite the opposite and we had a hard time deciding because there was no excitement in the menu selection at all. Along the same vein, our waiter was also pretty non-memorable. Also, we were there on a thursday night and the crowd seemed pretty ho-hum too. Not what we'd anticipated from all the positive reviews and buzz Noah's seems to be generating for so long... The foie gras drizzled with honey was good. My catch of the day was Fluke that tasted frozen and overcooked. The octopus appetizer was very chewy. The Kobe burger was one of the better dishes... It's a BURGER tho.. nothing innovative there... While we'd gladly drop $$$ on an amazing/memorable meal, Noah's just didnt provide one - so the meal was just way overpriced for what it was... I'd hoped for at least a decent but not bad experience, but unfortunately it barely met our expectations... Overall very mediocre and disappointing... read more

Meh. This place is fine. But by being "fine", it falls short of what we were hoping it would be. A little taste of the tacos from Noah's On The Road at the Greenport Brewing Peconic location and lots of oohing and aahing from friends and co-workers got our hopes up. It was smooth sailing when we were hoping to get blown out of the water. The Joint: Inside is spacious and clean and urbanite chic with a minimalistic feel more associated with Manhattan or the toney Hamptons. A little sere but nice nonetheless. We opted to sit outside. The tables were amply spaced so you didn't feel like you were on top of each other and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. To start, we had the the deviled eggs with crab meat. The briney nature of the crab worked really well with the egg. This serving is only 2 halves so order 2 if you're a deviled egg fan. Wife had the lobster sandwich which was packed with meaty lobster bits. The bread from Blue Duck was crusty and buttery. It was a solid sandwich (she gave me half. what a great wife!) but did not really make an impression. I had the tuna tartare which I enjoyed but, again, indistinguishable from any of the other times I've had it. OK. I'm really not a food snob. I like great, aged steaks and I also like mystery meat slung from the bowels of a rusted food cart. I'm not into slamming joints or their chefs or their dishes (unless the food is so god awful my dog wouldn't eat it. And my dog eats some pretty foul things.) Everything. Was. Fine. I think I got super-jazzed and our expectations were too high, which is our own fault. Besides the hearsay, the place itself looks pretty high end which added to the mystique. But it's just a place to go have lunch. You will only be disappointed if you go in with über-high expectations. I did hear the dinner menu was pretty good, though. Noah's gets a lot of press as being one of the more sophisticated, forward-thinking, locavore places to dine on the north fork. While I would agree with that depiction, I wouldn't consider it a slam dunk must-visit type of restaurant. My husband and I stopped by for Sunday brunch around noon, and were able to get an outdoor table right away. The crowds definitely descend later in the day towards 1-2pm. The menu had plenty of options, and we chose to split some BBQ oysters to start. These were tasty, juicy, briny, and I loved the savory BBQ sauce. The presentation was nice too - the little guys were seated on a bed of salt rocks. I ordered the soft shell crab BLT on brioche, which was a brunch special, and came with fresh cut fries. This was absolutely delicious, and I savored every bite! My only complaints lie within the service. Our waiter was absentee, didn't give us bread, and our meal timing was ridiculously drawn out. The food is not THAT good or THAT special to balance out such lousy service. Step it up guys! read more

I enjoyed the food here a lot. Small plates / Tapas style heavy on the seafood. The deviled eggs calamari and bisque were my favorite. The temp on the soup could have been hotter I received it luke warm. The duck was dry under the sauce and the crab cakes despite tasting mostly crab bs filler was also on the dry side. They do take indoor reservations. Outdoor is first come first serve but dress warmly as they have very limited heat lamps and you lose some ambience bc there is no music on the tables in front of the other store fronts. I docked a star as I found the host / hostess to be obnoxiously snobby. Lots of "are we dining / fully commited" comments. It just felt disingenuous. I'm sorry but "we" are not dining together. The wait staff was ok. For a finer dining experience I would expect them to know their menu / drink list a little better. It was a bit rough around the edges. Me and my husband wanted to Iove this place but unfortunately we didn't. First impression, The atmosphere is modern but cold and the decor seems unfinished. Although, I absolutely loved the original artwork on the walls. It just seemed like the place just opened, and they we're still settling in. Here is what we ordered: Crab deviled eggs- absolutely delicious Cheese puffs - were dry, not that flavorful and one didn't have any cheese filling. Lobster mac n cheese- this was a win. Very delicious, all 4of us thought so. (Me, hubby and twin 6 yr olds). Only drawback was that the lobster is so tiny, you can barely see it. We literally went hunting for it because We thought maybe they didn't give us any. It was like speckles of lobster. It would be nicer if they were actual pieces. But despite that, stills great dish. The tomatoes in it were awesome, and the cheese they use (Gruyere) is outstanding. Burger and fries - husband ordered medium, and it came medium well. He said the beef was very good, but the bun we don't really think it was a brioche bun as advertised. Either way, the bun he didn't like. The fries were really good. A little over salted, but still good. Catch of the day Pan roasted Tile Fish with a vegetable ratatouille and herb salad (pictured) - the fish was cooked perfectly, very tasty, the ratatouille was really good too. Drawback was The herb salad, which was 4 little sprigs of something. Not sure they should call that a salad. Kind of misleading. But still enjoyed the dish. Service was friendly, but the main dishes took awhile to come out after the appetizers. Overall, we enjoyed most of the food, but due to the ambiance and cost, we wouldn't go back. Another Great restaurant in Greenport, one of Long Islands greatest towns. A local kid made it big in the big city and came back and opened this spot. Like the other places that get it right, the place excels while not abandoning the spirit of the town and everything that makes it so cool. The service is laid back, unpretentious yet professional and on point. Good wine selection but the cocktails are way good and dangerous as well. The food is very good to excellent, get whatever is local, make sure and ask, many specials are. Almost gave this place a 5 star rating....but as good as it is, they don't quite have the "small plates" in balance, just yet. Yes, Noah's is pricey. And tasty. Some small plates give you several mouthfuls of food and others give you one or two bites, I kid you not. And you're paying $9 to $14 per small plate......really, the equity of it needs to be balanced a bit more. Example: stuffed squash blossoms. Superbly done! Our first night eating here ordered this item and three smallish pieces arrived. We enjoyed them and a few other items. Later on we decided to order another plate of the squash blossoms (remember this is tapas / small plates style, so it's nice to order a few items....graze...drink a bit...and perhaps order a few more...) and for the second order, just two blossoms appeared. No - they were not larger. Same as the earlier plate. We just took it in stride. Two nights later we returned to dine again and started with 1 order of squash blossoms (can you tell it was a favorite?) and ONE blossom on the plate. Seriously? No, it wasn't a large blossom, truly it was not. We did call this to the attention of our waiter. He took the plate back and returned with two ... he said the kitchen staff said they put ONE on the plate if it's somewhat sizeable (honestly it was not anywhere near sizeable) and two if smaller. Comparing this to other items that cost the same or LESS, this is miniscule. Putting aside the inbalance of food-on-the-plate in relation to the $$ you are paying, the food iteself is very, very good. The kale salad was fine. The duck liver mousse was good. The duck and polenta was good. The crab cake kind of had a lot of vegetables/filler in it. But the calamari. The calamari was such an oh-No-ah. Such an unfortunate heavy-batter swing and a miss. It was leaden and tasteless and yet also covered with what seemed like a half handful of dry paprika powder that coated my mouth like dust. The aioli seemed to have been sitting out a bit. And I didn't love the fried green beans and lemon; it didn't add to the flavor and having them served fresh with the calamari and (tough) shrimp would have balanced the dish more. Also, bowls are v. not good serving vessels for fried things as the batter gets soggy (and the seafood gets rubbery). I left the vast majority uneaten... but the waitress didn't ask why. I probably should have been asked why. I left the restaurant feeling kind of sad, which is why I felt compelled to point out the sadness that was my frito misto. At high prices, and in a port town, you really need to get your seafood right. read more

I'm posting this review for Noah's on the road, their food truck. My wife and I are fans but I do have to say the menu choices we had were limited which is why I dinged them a star, I would've given 3.5 if possible but didn't want to go to 3 only. They were at one of the wineries and I guess they had to work within certain constraints. I will say the Arepas were fantastic and I LOVED the Korean steak tacos. Prices seem on par with other food trucks in the area. If you're looking for a bargain hit the dirty water dog truck on the side of the road. Next time we see Noah's on the road we'll be customers again. I'm looking forward to trying the lobster roll. read more

I came to Noahs as part of Shellabration, a shellfish festival where select restaurants in Greenport have a special tapas-like menu. I also decided to try several other dishes from Noah's regular menu because of my two favorite things: Anything unusual & anything seafood!!! :D The hostess at the door was very welcoming. The waitress was very attentive despite the volume of people there. Because it was a special event that day, we sat next to the window on the right side of the restaurant ( I think it's normally a waiting area/cocktail area?). Decor was modern and had a level of intimate but casual ambiance. Everything from the Shellabration menu to the regular menu was decently priced. One word: FRESH!! Lobster mac & cheese - wish I had more lobster in there, but still yum! Tuna Tartare - fresh & good, but nothing special Scallop Ceviche - recommended! Duck liver mousse - My friends did NOT like this at all, but this was not my first time trying this and I like this normally. So I thought this was great. Pipes Cove & Beau Solei Oysters - delish! Shellabration menu included Clams, Oysters, and Peconic Bay Scallops prepared different ways - all were delicious!! :) Since it's shellfish season, I didn't expect anything short of fresh mouth watering shellfish! and YES, that's all I got! Everything I tried was flavored well and nothing fell below above average. They also presented their dishes with a simplistic yet modern touch, which makes the entire restaurant come together with it's decor and friendly service. Dinner at Noah's after getting off the ferry on a Friday evening around 7pm. It was fairly crowded, but we were able to beat the rush and get a table inside on a cold September evening. We ordered 3 tastes for $16 and 5 small plates. Our waitress said this was the perfect amount; however, the tastes were way bigger than expected so we probably only needed 4 small plates (and we were really hungry and still got super full from the first four). We did the hummus, crab deviled eggs and pate for our tastes. All of these were delicious! The pate had honey on it which really complemented the flavor very well. We then ordered the burrata tomato salad, prawns, mussels, short rib, and fried calamari. The burrata was pretty average but the tomatoes were super fresh. The fried calamari was extremely heavy, but great and not too greasy. It was a bit off putting that there were fried lemon pieces in the calamari...never had that before and would rather squeeze lemon on top vs eat fried slices whole. The mussels were absolutely to die for; the flavor was amazing and we dunked all the bread we could find in it. The prawns were very below average; they had a funky taste and here wasn't much meat in them for the price. Lastly, the short rib with polenta was fantastic but we could enjoy it as much as we would have at the beginning of the meal because we were just so full! I would respect if the waitress told us in advance how much we were ordering, especially when we asked if it was a good amount. She led us into overordering for sure. We tried a variety of small plates as everything looked so interesting. The best part of the meal was the food was not over anything'd. The Filet sliders were perfectly medium rare. The roasted garlic wasn't overcooked. The stuffed squash blossoms, perfect. The striped bass, well again, perfect. This was all topped off by the attentiveness of the staff from the time we got there. The hostess, server and assistants were all pleasant and professional. With Noah's being so well reviewed I couldn't help but make a reservation when I discovered that we would be close by. As our reservation was for a Monday during the off season on the North Fork I wasn't sure what to expect; would we get the star quarterback or would we get the second string in the kitchen? To be honest I have no idea because the food presented at our table was simply beautiful and perfectly prepared. Perhaps there is no second string, the kitchen is simply talented. The star of the show was the Tunisian Spiced Roasted Carrots. Warm spices met with pomegranate molasses over the top of crunchy, roasted tri color carrots. Dining with 3 other companions we were able to sample a good portion of the menu and nothing led us to be anything other than thrilled with the food. Our waitress Leslie was wonderful and attentive.
