In a recent interaction today, I attempted to place a delivery order and asked for very simple modifications as I always do, specifically adding onion and having sauce on the side. I was told these options were available on both the Noah's app and DoorDash, which was not the case. When I sought clarification, I was rudely and initially directed back to the app with incorrect information, and ultimately told to come in person if I wanted those basic requests accommodated. This response overlooks the main purpose of delivery services, and was condescending. Customers choose delivery because they are managing time constraints and responsibilities. Suggesting an in-person visit as the only solution defeats that purpose entirely, and is frustrating when someone is also responsible for a lunch order for others, and a customer's time is limited. As a result of this interaction, I lost approximately 15 minutes navigating inaccurate information, only to be left without a viable solution. More importantly, the tone of the interaction conveyed a lack of ownership and accountability, and was very immature and dismissive. Also, to be clear: this is not simply a customer service issue at the individual level. It points to a need for stronger training, clearer internal communication, and accountability around customer experience, and product knowledge. Employees should be equipped to accurately explain ordering channels, app capabilities, menu items/ingredients and be able to come up with reasonable alternatives when issues arise. As a manager, being on top of these things, would significantly improve both efficiency and customer satisfaction, especially for loyal customers who are willing to pay for convenience but expect a baseline level of competence and support in return. Lastly, please be mindful that, for example, turning away an average of 10 potential delivery customers per day due to your staff providing unhelpful and discourteous service, who are willing to spend $25-$50 per order, can result in significant annual losses for this store. read more

For a few minutes, it was a one man operation, then a woman came up to help out and take orders. Another observation was that Doordash may have had a big order for the man, which would account for the time waiting. We come to Noah's in the mornings if we are running a little late to my son's school. We usually get him a bacon, egg and cheese on a 6 cheese Bagel with a milk. He's tried other bagel sandwiches but they were a bit overwhelming like the maplehouse egg sandwich. We've also had the chorizo burrito which wasn't that great. I will add that the service is always great and the lady at the register knows who we are and usually puts in our order when we're next in line so once we get to the register she just tells us the total so that's cool. The place is always clean in the inside and even on the patio area. Note that, they have parking meters out front and they do have a parking lot in the back that doesn't charge for parking if you go before a certain time in the morning (I'm not sure what the time is but I will update when I find out). Overall, Noah's is cool! It gets the job done. However, I've had some really good bagels my coworkers have brought in to the office and they were super solid! I was in the mood for some bagel sandwiches and decided to give this place a try. My initial thoughts were there's a ton of bagels, and not a lot of seating, but I'm okay with getting my food to go. There is some seating but it was all used when I stopped by. The staff were friendly and to the point. They have a ton of bagels to choose from where you can pick a sandwich but also pick whichever bagel you want to add more flavor to your sandwich. I got the garden avocado sandwich and my boyfriend got a veggie breakfast sandwich. They were both okay. I think next time I would be okay just getting a bagel with some smear. read more

I'll preface that I'm originally from the East Coast so I'm a bit spoiled when it came to bagels growing up. We got take out from Noah's this morning and it was fine. The bagel itself had a decent texture. The cream cheese was a bit skimpy for the price. It should at least cover the bagel, but there was just some in the middle. I'm always on the hunt for a great veggie cream cheese. Again, back east you used to have chunks of carrots and onion mixed in. You could see everything. This tasted ok, but it was hard to see the vegetables, almost like they're blended in. Twice baked hash brown was...ok? Could have used some salt and maybe creamier somehow. Cinnamon roll looked promising, but was dry inside. If we come back, I would get a bagel and a different "shmear" tub and spread it out myself! read more

Alert! Warning! Attention anyone who likes to pay by cash: nothing larger than $20 bill will be accepted at Noah's Bagels, which is ludicrous. I wanted to use a $50 bill (which was in my Christmas stocking, thanks Santa!) for a carry out order which I estimated to total almost exactly $50, and they wouldn't accept my crisp real $50 bill. I thought America's currency is supposed to be --legal tender--? Well, not at Noah's Bagels. So I left, and went instead to Western Bagel on Ventura Boulevard a little bit east, and ended up spending way more than $50. They bagged my order up nicely, and yes, accepted my currency with a genuine smile. A win for me, a win for Western Bagel, and a wet raspberry for Noah's. I highly recommend you ditch Noah's Bagels and patronize Western Bagel which is happy for the business. read more

This is why I only come here once in a blue moon - I purchased a lox sandwich which is not cheap and was told I had a reward of a free coffee on the App - great I thought but its about 80 degrees outside so I requested a cup of ice for an iced coffee. I was told by the cashier who was probably given the directive from corporate that I can only get a hot coffee for free. Didnt realize a cup of ice was that much more expensive. I have been coming here for over ten years and wow I never wrote a review.... Overall it's a great place to get fresh bagels and sandwiches. Customer service is ok, some days better than others. Today I ordered two bagels with lox sandwich and asked for no capers but still got a load of capers in our sandwiches. I like getting the sesame bagel with cream cheese most times but today I was craving lox. After removing the capers my son and I enjoyed our brunch. For some reason they removed all indoor tables and chairs and the weather is cold outside so we couldn't eat here. I wish they left the indoor seating open specially now that it's cold. read more

My husband and I absolutely love coming here. It's our casual brunch date spot. I always order either a bagel with Schmeer or a delicious breakfast sandwich. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches on their menu is the Farmhouse on any cheese bagel; it's simple and is for every breakfast lover! My current go-to order lately is a Spinach and Swiss Bagel toasted with Schmeer and a coffee. During my last visit, what stood out to me was the service; the ladies working the front were amazing, professional, and kind. I had ordered my food and drink on the app, and I had thought that I had redeemed the "free coffee with purchase". When I received my order, the ladies told me that there was no coffee attached to the order, and told me how to input it correctly for next time and gave me a free coffee anyway. I really appreciated the assistance and patience. This is why we always come back to Noah's bagels! The quality of food is great, service is great, staff is friendly and attentive, and the store itself is pretty clean. The only thing that I'd fix during that last visit was that it smelled a little bit smoky and burnt. Not a big deal, maybe the kitchen just needs better ventilation. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. I always love sitting outside because the view of Ventura is so nice to watch while enjoying their delicious food. Today I got the new double stack (so good, probably could've polished off two) and a blueberry muffin. Both fantastic. My only real complaint is the muffin was small (but so good) and parking sucks. Today decided not to go, but still wanted Noah's. So here we are. We ordered. The bagels were good and we kinda liked the new cinnamon muffin. The coffee was absolutely disgusting and not hot. Fortunately, the kid at the counter said he'd redo the coffee. There was obviously an issue because the new batch was good. The bag of potato chips were stale and the seating outside is bizzarre. In addition, we had to go back to get the muffin we ordered. I think our expectations were set a little high for this. For the most part, I like the Noah's bagels and often get a bakers dozen to share whenever going to a gathering. However, it seems their customer service is all online, and that leaves a LOT to be desired. Several years ago when I was ready to redeem my points, I was told they had already been redeemed. If they were, it was not by me, so I assumed my account had been hacked, and never bothered with them again. Last December I happened to notice I had accrued enough points for 6 bagels. Navigation wasn't very clear, so when I hit the redeem button, expecting to go to a new page, the next thing I knew, those points were GONE. I promptly reported this to their corporate online customer service portal. It's been a week now, and I have yet to hear from anyone. Any company who uses rewards points to incentivize customers should manage that program a whole lot better, or not do it at all. As to this particular location, I have no complaints. While ordering, I specified that I wanted butter and cream cheese on both halves of the bagel, so that what I didn't want to happen wouldn't happen. But it did. Voila. See the picture below of how they served it. I went back and told them I wanted the butter and cream cheese on both halves, again, and 30 seconds later they give me back the same box with butter smeared on top of the cream cheese. Stephanie the assistant store manager or whatever her title is, basically told me to "stay home if I couldn't afford to eat out" and that I was "always trying to get things for free"...
