Busy morning grabbing some of my girl's favorite things for Mother's Day. I had just grabbed coffee, and stopped in to grab some bagels to go with it to make sure she was taken care of on her special day. Noah's is right next door to Starbucks. Easy-peasy. Should be simple, right? Famous last words, gentle reader. Read on, but be wary, trigger warning for the ambiance of a gas station bathroom and the worst service this side of a Siberian gulag. I walked in, it wasn't terribly busy, and I wanted to order three things: a side of shmear, a cinnamon-raisin bagel and a chocolate chip bagel. Didn't need them toasted, didn't need anything complicated. Two bagels and some cream cheese. Simple, right? The aura of the place is...dank. Dark. Not overly clean. It doesn't say "welcome"...it says "give us your money and go away...unless you'd like to stay and roll the dice on dysentery." I was greeted by a young lady whose demeanor was such that you'd think she just got a lawnmower for her anniversary with "what do you want?" I placed my order, and she responded with an *audible* eye roll and a heavy sigh. I paid, tipped heavy (I was a server for years, and tip well as a result). She pointed to a side cooler where the shmear was located, I went to get it, came back, collected my order, and left " but not before saying "have a great day." I could have been mean right back...but what would that have solved? The experience sucked, but I was going to let it go and chalk it up to a bad day...until I got home and found the she botched the order. Two bagels, untoasted. Both sesame. Oof. I could have gone back...but I don't think I want to deal with her, or that place, ever again. Why spend my money at a spot where I might get a staph infection, people have better things to do than be courteous, or even bother to give one what they ordered? If this was the last bagel spot on earth, I'd give them up. Need bagels in Walnut Creek? Go anywhere else. You'll be happier for it. Trust me. read more

After reading the Yelp reviews online I thought I would visit this location as I didn't think it could be as bad as the reviews said. Well, when over 40% of the reviews are 1 star beware. On my visit the staff was not friendly, the service was slow and I had to repeat my order several times. There is a definite theme here which rings out in the negative reviews. When I worked in Danville, I frequently visited the Danville location and never had a bad experience. Corporate definitely needs to visit this location unannounced, as I'm sure this is not how they want a store run. Won't be back. read more

Ate a Power Egg breakfast sandwich on a poppy seed bagel and had diarrhea, stomach cramps, and nausea about 2 hours later. No other food beforehand, and symptoms were sudden and obvious. Could've been improper handling or storage, but either way this was not a good experience. Won't be back. read more

There is quite an array of bagels to be had here, as well as breakfast sandwiches on bagels and deli sandwiches on challah, potato rolls, and of course bagels. Just the names are enough to get one drooling: chorizo avocado sunrise and Texas brisket for example. I had a six cheese bagel and vanilla hazelnut coffee. The bagel was perfect, a little cheesy crunch on the outside but soft and chewy inside. My coffee with a touch of cream was rich and delicious. They also have various coffee and tea drinks and a few items for those with a sweet tooth. The outside seating was just what I wanted so I had a nice little breakfast while people watching. read more

I'm impressed with all the negative comments. As someone who lives and Utah and comes to the bay to visit family multiple times throughout the year, coming to Noah's is always a must. My go-to--especially when I'm trying to be good before all the holiday eating--is the Power White Bagel sandwich. Turkey-Sausage, Avocado, Spinach, and Tomato on an Ancient Grain Thin Bagel. The sandwich is delicious, fills me up and I don't feel like I had a heavy meal. Service is always nice and today they were very quick with our 3 sandwich order. read more

Good food. Bad service. Old people love to hang out here and chat with friends. Millennials come in dressed in PJs and sweats. This has been a long time favorite for my wife and I and every time we come in, the food tastes great but the service is pretty bad. Like Taco Bell at midnight bad. You will feel like you are inconveniencing the staff and frankly they would rather you not come in at all. But if you're willing to put up with their BS you will get a very savory bagel. Ordered bagels and cream cheese for my family. They stuffed one bag with 9 bagels and 2 containers of cream cheese. They crushed the bagels and flattened them and they shorted us a bagel. We ordered a plain cream cheese and a chive cream cheese, they gave us 2 plain. I'm not sure how hard it is to comprehend you are going to need a second bag. read more

I didn't receive the chips that come with it, however, I'm not sure if I was supposed to grab them or if they forgot to put them in the order. Service was friendly and quick. If you go to the Mount Diablo location, they will give you decaf coffee if you ask for a regular latte because they hate their lives. Give you the wrong bagel if you pay for a gourmet one. Burn it too. If you ask for a sandwich, they will go out of their way to take out the meat from the sandwich. If you ask for smear, they will give you a dry and burnt bagel. You guys must feel really good about yourselves contributing nothing to society and taking up empty space in this world. Enjoy your day job serving people incorrectly. Any positive review you see is from friends and family who don't want the manager to get fired for not doing their job at hiring decent people. Who knew it was hard to put smear on a piece of bread? I have no idea why the reviews are so low, but I've been going to this bagel shop for years and have not been disappointed. Sometimes I'll just get a single bagel, toasted and with cream cheese, like I did today. Other times, I'll get a bagel breakfast sandwich. They have all the typical flavors of bagel, like plain, jalapeño cheddar (my favorite), sesame, everything, blueberry, etc. and a bunch of cream cheese flavors. There is some indoor seating and a few outdoor tables. It's not fancy, but I don't have complaints. read more

Update: I received feedback from the business & reviewed them on web as requested. I've Not received any reply. This used to be a nice restaurant. It's run down as heck bow. The dining rooms looks awry. Dirty floors. Broken tables. The restroom looks and smells like it hasn't been cleaned and months. The staff were friendly and polite. Food came quickly. My bagel had a ton of butter kinda globbed on. At least it wasn't lacking butter. They only had one variety of tea and the refrigerated beverage display was half empty. Came with my mom to grab breakfast. My mom usually likes to go for healthier options and was able to order a bagel that had turkey sausage and egg whites. I got the farmhouse. They cut the sandwiches in half without us asking which was very helpful and my mom was very happy about. They did have free doggy treat bagels, however the treat was too hard for my dog so that had to get thrown out. However, overall the food was delicious and the workers were polite. read more

I've loved Noah's Bagels since they opened. Once my job moved, I stopped going to this location regularly. I used to love their lunches and stopping for a bagel on the way to work. Since we were in the neighborhood, we stopped in for basic toasted bagels and cream cheese. It's wasn't crazy busy, like I assume it can still get. My order was to be toasted and cut in half. It wasn't cut as I asked and what little cream cheese there was, was like lightly buttered toast. For the price, I want more than that. We may or may not return. Pretty disappointed. read more

I absolutely love Noah's Bagels and this location was the one I was introduced too. The staff here is always friendly and makes the experience great! Because of their great impression of Noah's Bagels I decided to stop at one on the way to work in Pleasanton and surprise my team with bagels. The experience at that store was absolutely horrible. I was blatantly ignored and the staff not only was unfriendly but also lost my order somehow even though I was the only one there. So please, please come to this location they are all amazing here! The food is delicious the bagels are perfectly soft. I have not been to this location since my last review. I was in the mood for a bagel. Today I was actually greeted and the cashier actually asked for my phone number for the rewards program. That is so rare to get acknowledged, and was even more surprised the cashier asked me for my phone number and I didn't have to mention it myself. I declined because I don't ever spend my money here because of the bad service I've received over the years, so it would be pointless. I have found a new place to spend my money for breakfast. What a shame that I've felt so disrespected by Noah's employees in the past that I don't like coming here. Food was great but the bathroom was disgusting and ruined it all! It was moldy and dirty... terrible.

They discontinued the egg bagel which is a jeiwsh staple and discountuned garlic cream cheese and wont return it. PLus they went down hill majorly in service and who they put in charge of the staffa and employees. Its lost its jewish touch. Im upset that that one one seems to care about the losse of Jewishness and loss of egg balge and horrable staffe. They need to back to what they were. read more

My daughter went to the location by treat in the shopping center, she was asked to pick up several bagels and drinks that would total over $33.00 I had given her a $50.00 bill to pay she was abruptly informed they do not accept $50.00 bills even though the change would not have been a large amount, the girl was very rude and called the DM who stated it was company policy yet nothing has been posted stated that particular rule. My daughter said " you really are turning away over $33.00 order because you chose not give change the response was " we don't need the business and we have the right to refuse service to you and anyone we want to not serve". That being said my business usually places large orders near holidays, and on certain meeting days not anymore because obviously they do not need the business. I did see a new bagel shop has moved into the flying colors location on treat next to Baskin Robbins so I will be checking them out. If I could give zero stars believe me I would. Shame on you Noah's for not treating customers as though they are important to your bottom line, Starbucks just had a huge lay off and closure maybe Noah's will be following if they do not take note of their employees poor customer service. read more

Update: It was early and I literally had no other choice than Starbucks (which I probably should have gone to instead)..not sure how but it's actually gotten worse here. Bagels aren't great tasting, options are very few now for flavors, etc and there was WAY too much cream cheese on my bagel to the point where it was everywhere, messy and I had to end up throwing half of it away because I could no longer even taste the bagel due to all the cream cheese. Are they trying to get rid of old cream cheese or something? It was an unpleasant experience and I'm once again reminded to just not bother coming here. Also, there is no where to sit indoors. I'm just confused, is Noah's just slowly going out of business because their practices are horrendous. It's like they're giving up. Or is it this store only? Messy, yucky, no more. read more

Rude employees and poor service. My husband and I visited this location a couple of weeks ago after my doctor's appointment around 11 am in June. I was about 36 weeks pregnant and craving their breakfast burritos. My husband ordered for me, and we ate at an outdoor table. After finishing my meal, I went inside to use the bathroom. The bathroom door was open, and a guy was cleaning it, but there was no sign indicating it was closed. I waited about 10 minutes. The guy noticed me waiting and told me to ask the register for a key to another bathroom. The lady at the register saw me waiting the entire time but didn't inform me that the bathroom was closed. When I finally asked, she rudely told me I couldn't use it and to go to the CVS instead. read more

This review is a long time coming but needs to be said. I work nearby and this Noah's has become a joke amongst my co-workers, that if you ever go to Noah's you will NEVER get the correct order. This could be something as simple as a plain bagel, toasted, with cream cheese and somehow they'll give you a NON-toasted sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese. At this point it's absolutely ridiculous and comical that SIMPLE orders are being messed up. I've gone there 3 times this week to test this theory (and I'm pregnant, so all I want are bagels). Every.Single.Time. my order was wrong. Monday My order: Sesame bagel toasted with butter What I got: Sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese Wednesday My order: Sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese What I got: UNTOASTED sesame bagel with cream cheese Today My order: Sesame bagel toasted with chive onion cream cheese What I got: Sesame bagel toasted with regular cream cheese How/why is this happening? This is not a bulk order, or a complicated order. It is not busy. And yet the fact that they can't ever get it right is ridiculous. The cashiers have been mostly friendly, but the guy who makes the bagels tosses them on the counter after very quickly making them, which makes me think he's not really looking at what the order is. I am so disappointed. My go to bagel place for a delicious egg sandwich! I usually place my order in the app to avoid the line as it's usually pretty busy in the morning and is more convenient. I ordered the power egg white which had an egg white, sausage patty, spinach, tomatoes, and avocado which was very tasty. The bagel was warm, soft, and chewy. I would also recommend their french toast bagel, honey almond smear, and breakfast blt on a Challah roll. It is a little on the pricier side but definitely give them a try! read more

Our go to for our midway stop on our bike ride. We always seem to get the table right outside which is great. There was a long line around 10am, but still not too bad. We ordered the Asiago bagel w/ cream cheese and lox bagel. Both were very good! And the vanilla cold brew was good also, a little bit sweet but I prefer that over bitter. One complaint, I remember 10+ years ago I used to get a toasted Asiago bagel with melted mozzarella cheese, but they didn't have mozzarella cheese. Why??
