A really fun taproom in downtown Hillsboro! Great beer selection with a few wine, cider and NA options. Pretty lively on a Friday night! They have a few TVs for watching sports and have good indoor and outdoor seating options. Bathrooms are clean and staff are polite. Parking can be a challenge at times, depending on the time of day... plan to walk a few blocks to access the place. They have snack food for sale but no meal options. Very clean and wonderfully temperate indoor seating area (not too warm, not too cold). Also a bunch of tables outside also. Plenty of beer on tap, they do offer food service from other establishments but no food of their own I don't believe. The bartenders were awesome. Offered tons of advice, were warm with their greetings, and allowed us to sample a few different before deciding. I went with the Tigers Blood and thought it was amazing. 8.5/10 will try again. read more

I've been thinking about trying this place for a long time now and ended up walking by on this warm fall evening so I stopped in. I'm so glad I did! I really like the atmosphere of this place and they have a great selection of beers. I'm a big fan of dark beers and I really enjoyed their Scottish Ale. They're easy to get to via Max, just two blocks from the Hillsboro Central station. Best of all, the servers are very friendly and nice to talk with. It's so great to have such a nice place to hang out in Hillsboro. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

Noble Hop is a favorite of ours. What started as a local tap house that was easy for us to walk to has turned into one of our favorite destinations. I'm currently sitting, enjoying a great IPA while watching the local running club and the community they have cultivated here. We regularly see the same faces (both of the human and canine variety) and it feel like Cheers in real live. Kudos to the team for creating such a warm and inviting space! read more

This place is much nicer and better since the new owner has taken over. Food wise, you can get a hot pretzel with cheese sauce & mustard, which was nice with the beer, or you can chips & salsa which I didn't have. But the best thing is- this owner lets you bring in food or order pizza from across the street! Smart move! They had a DJ tonight, a little louder than expected, pretty much had to yell across the table. read more

This place is awesome! My friend Neal just opened this place and it's so roomy, plenty of TVs and games to play. Lots of taps available, even a red! Lots of bars don't have reds for me to try, made me super happy. They have some snacks but have menus for a pizza place (Pizzario Woodfire) that even had gluten free options for me. a fantastic taphouse in downtown Hillsboro. I just love that I can finish golf and find yet another beer bar that I haven't experienced. This was situated adjacent to some nice apartments. The entry was airy and allowing natural light to come in - it was about 4pm mid-week and a few folks spaced out on the high tops and outside, too. Not super friendly, lots of nice draft selection. $7 a pint. I enjoyed a local IPA from a small brewery, can't quite recall, but it was excellent. I remember savoring my visit there. Some garage and old school bar decor. A couple TVs up for sport. Parked on the street, was easy. This place stood out for overall cleanliness, vibe and selection. People sitting outside were nice too, chatted about tattoos. Wouldn't be terrible to live above this taphouse. read more

I've visited since the grand opening and, you know what? It's still decisively OK. The take-out-coolers are now basically can grabs. Imagine a Plaid Pantry with a better beer buyer and that's what you have in the front three fridges now. As for the "sports bar" thing, they're still going for it. The discounts for wearing gear are fine, but in this space four TVs still feels like a bit much. I think the sweet spot is three: Two was too few at McNally's but four is just putting shit in your field of vision all the time. They also seem to want to be an "audio on" sports bar, which borders on atrocity. When you have four other dedicated beer bars in town that keep the sound down or off entirely, what's the point of being the noise box in that group. It seems like a bad play for the Sports Look or Hillsboro Pub crowds. Meanwhile, the prices remain level and it's biggest draw -- that you can bring in food from Amelia's, Pizzario, Abu Rasheed, or anywhere else -- is still fantastic. I don't know how those businesses are going to react to the Mad Greek food truck showing up every so often, but that patio wouldn't be a bad permanent home for Boro Burger. Again, painting the place grey isn't "making it your own," but creating the atmosphere you want is. The new owners want it to be a community space, and they're well on their way toward making it one. I'll be interested to see what kind of tweaks they make throughout the year. read more

Always a very good selection of IPAs and Hazy IPAs to pick from. Always changing which I like. Good service, willing to let you try a few before making your choice. Just have snacks for food but can cross the street to the food carts, when they are open, and bring your food back. read more

Came in on a Friday afternoon and checked out the updated space. New owner knows his beer and has really created a great atmosphere. No booze or food, but if you're after a great beer and a chill space, this is for you. Taplist is outstanding as well. Will absolutely be back. read more
