Loved the casual atmosphere. Service was great! Didn't catch their name but the person that served us was super friendly and funny. The food was great!

Classic Pizza

Dropped in for lunch with a girlfriend and am so happy we did! We got the Classic Pizza Tarte Flambee & Caprese Salad. Both were delicious! I especially liked how simple yet elegant the dishes were - the natural ingredients shine without the filler/junk. We initially planned on ordering for takeout since we were on our lunch break, but were encouraged to dine in by the owner. Inside is clean and cozy. Service was great and food was ready in a timely manner. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Thank you so much Noeteca!

Great & affordable fondu for two

This is BY FAR my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. My husband and I have been going for years for the Fondue. It's a great price for two and it is my favorite meal of all time. I've had their other dishes as well and they are nothing short of incredible. Please please go try this place. Also, the owners are incredible. Their work ethic is admirable and their food is absolutely amazing. It's just the two of them and they create an environment that is so welcoming and personal. This restaurant is one in a million and I hope everyone gets the chance to experience how heart warming this place is!

Hands down my favorite neighborhood restaurant in San Francisco. Located in a quiet area of Noe Valley, it could serve as a fantastic casual date spot or family friendly night out. The hospitality made it feel we had come often . It became obvious they had a stream of repeat locals who knew each other by name. Cheese plate was fantastic. Bread was soft, warm, and tasty. And we didn't have to ask for more bread. Margarita pizza was also a winner. But the real surprise was their cheesecake with a blueberry topping. Perfection.

Top plate: raclette, salami, prosciutto and salad. Bottom: beef stew, yucca, rice, black bean and salad

A cute and unpretentious neighborhood wine bar/cafe serving hearty portions and a variety of delicious gourmet food --from pastries and omelettes, to beef stew, crab cakes and pasta. Highly recommend this delightful, friendly place!

salumi plate $22

My brunch started with a smoke salmon plate $15. They were out of bagels so they gave me ciabatta bread instead. I liked how the plate came out and how I got to assemble my own smoked salmon sandwich with arugula lettuce, capers, cream cheese, glazed pearl onions, lemon juice, olives and pecans. This tasted great. I wasn't quite full yet, so I got the salumi plate $22. This was OK, not great. It had coppa, prosciutto and salami for the meats. The sour stuff like pepperoncinis, pickles and olives I didn't care for. I wish there were roasted nuts on this charcuterie plate. Regardless, good times. There's outdoor sitting. Perfect if it is a nice day.

Loved the neighborhood vibe. The owner is so friendly and has lots of stories plus excellent food and wine suggestions. I had the Raclette and it was fabulous. The melty flavorful cheese was so good with the salami and prosciutto. My husband had the ribs with black beans. He was quite happy too. And the dessert was so simple yet delicious! We will be back!

Rustico nutella from their dessert specials: puff pastry filled with vanilla ice cream and strawberries
Johnny W.

*** In Short *** Quaint little shop with a selection of delicious desserts. *** In Depth *** Never mind that we were both incredibly full from dinner: we wanted a place to sit and chat, and there's always room for dessert, right? Yeah, except when you order what you thought was a sundae, and instead are met with this monstrosity of a pastry, which was exactly what the rustico nutella on special dessert chalkboard menu was. But hey, this warm, flaky pastry filled with ice cream and strawberries was DELICIOUS. Shame the ice cream was all melted though: having solid ice cream to carve into would have made this even more amazing. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - Small, cozy restaurant with a number of accessible seats, as well as less accessible booths and high tops. Bathroom - Didn't check them out.

I went for their quiche and it was ok. I like that they accompanied it with bread. I was somewhat let down but wasn't totally disappointed.

Walked in and found the place very nice. You have your bar in front and a combination of chairs and tables throughout the room, with some very nice artwork, atmosphere, and the bathroom tiles were delightful, felt very rustic and modern. There was only 1 worker that day as it was an early weekend, but the service was fast, she was attentive to the patrons that was there and also helped us with only ordering red as we both did not have an interest in drinking white wine. The Charcuterie board options were good, and we got the meat, cheese, and olives (sorry, I forgot which exact ones). It was a great pairing to go with the wine, and I'll definitely be back to try more of their appetizers. If you're a local in the area and want a place to de-stress with a glass of wine, this is your place!

Drinks: Flight of the day which included four 2oz pours of different wine varieties for $20. In the flight was a cava, white, rose and chilled red so great variety of flavors and regions highlighted. Service was excellent, so friendly and warm, staff is knowledgeable about the wine and offered great insight into the pours being served and had great recommendations as well if you were exploring other options. Overall such a gem in the Excelsior, love having a local wine bar that feels approachable and relaxing with no big crowd or wait. Worth an excursion to visit. Compared to other wine bars felt pretty affordable too.

Located in the legendary Mission District of San Francisco, this wine bar is a great spot to catch up with friends and enjoy small bites and yummy crafted cocktails. Their decor is very chic and I especially loved all of the hardware, glasses, tables, and benches. This place was styled by a great design artist. Even though the place was pretty packed and can be kind of noisy, I still felt very calm amongst all the healthy plants and loved the sophisticated 70s inspired glassware. Another great feature of this place is that you can buy most of the plants because they have some for sale so after a couple of cocktails, I was ready to redecorate my whole house with all the plants. I ordered a yummy Rose blend that was super crisp. Also enjoyed the Truffle Fungi! A delicious Shiitake and oyster mushrooms with parmesan and arugula on toasted bread. Their Spanish inspired potatoes were delicious with their dipping sauce. They have lots of gatherings there and DJ sets on the weekends. Lastly, a photographer would die to take pictures here. There is no bad shot as the design artist made sure every section of this cute wine bar was picture perfect. Loved all my photos and videos. I look forward to returning to this exquisite wine bar!

I love the decor of this space! It is definitely intentionally and tastefully decorated. Loved the lighting and plants. They had Lord of the Rings playing on the wall. The vibe is artsy, warm, a little dark, and overall a cool place to mingle. The bathrooms and tables were kept clean. I liked it that the DJ was live mixing. Getting a drink was fast and easy. The high top tables were a bit wobbly, so we spilled half a drink on there. The drinks are strong. I recommend going upstairs to sit instead if you want to hear your friends better. The tables are bigger up there too. The rooftop was closed off but I'd like to check it out sometime.

This wine bar is hidden from plain view and tucked away in the Excelsior/Outer Mission. Some friends and I discovered this little gem while looking for a place to have a nightcap. Sippin' Wine Bar is located on the second floor of the Bottoms Up Bar, but the vibe is totally different. Not sure if the two bars are actually affiliated, but they are like night and day. The stairs leading up to the bar are lit up and the interior of the bar is just absolutely gorgeous! It's spacious and low lit with an extremely sexy ambience. The decor is just out of this world! They have the cutest tables and sofas. The lamps and artwork are very unique but visually appealing, and the tables are set with candles that create a very sensual vibe. There's a small but adorable little patio where you can relax and get some air. The interior designer deserves a pat on the back AND a few glasses of wine (wink wink). Speaking of wine, they have tons and tons of it! Their selection is extensive and they make it really obvious with all of their lovely wine bottles that are on display. I really enjoyed their Angeline Pinot Noir as well as the Kungfu Girl Riesling. They serve food here as well. We had just come from dinner, but a few of us who shall remain nameless (cough cough) were still hangry and ordered garlic noodles, garlic fries, and tater tots. Yep, somebody's breath was stankin' but it wasn't mine! Although I didn't try any of the food, It smelled wonderful. There was no food left behind, so I'm assuming that it was delicious! The owner Shirley was fantastic! She happily hosted our group and let us sample several different wines from her collection. She mingled with us as well and talked about the business. The bar is still relatively new and opened a little over 2 years ago, so she is still trying to generate more business. I'm hoping that more people will frequent this place because I really enjoyed it and would love to see it stick around. So glad we stumbled upon this spot, and I'm looking forward to many more future visits.

We were able to snag a seat at the bar after waiting a few minutes. Drinks: A nice selection of wines, vermouth cocktails and some beer and non alcoholic options availible. We ordered chilled bottles of sparkling red wine which was served in a bucket with ice which was a nice touch to keep it cool. Food: Tinned monkfish liver - nice and creamy, rich with mild flavor served with bread, crackers, potato chips and pickled peppers Tinned stuffed squid - very tasty, squid were cut into smaller pieces making it easy to pass around also served with the same bread, crackers, and potato chips Tortilla - a nice piece of egg and potato tortilla served warm on a slice of ciabatta, this was well seasoned and a generous portion size, was surprised it was served like an open faced sandwich made it a little bit difficult to cut up and share but tasty regardless Jamon con brie - similar to the tortilla served in a warm open faced sandwich, ham and brie were nice, a little greasy and salty Service was fine, walk up to the bar and place your order, they'll provide you with a number for food delivery to your seat. Water we grabbed a filled our glasses as needed. Plates were cleared relatively quickly when we were finished. Overall enjoyed El Chato, there happened to be some live music that evening which was fun but made for a pretty loud space. Food was solid nothing outstanding but a nice array of tin fish and tapas, liked the wine and vermouth options. A fun spot for girls night expect a crowd if you go earlier in the evening.
