If you're looking for a slightly upscale drinks with friends and food for the table, Noeteca is the right spot! We had a group of five sharing, incredible, red wine and table charcuterie. The wine was fantastic. I highly recommend the Beaujolais! The charcuterie was fantastic and the bread was so soft and fresh. I liked how the charcuterie with salami came with these vinegary-onions and pepperoncinis. We had such a good time in the service was great! The space was very clean, the outdoor area is wonderful. It was just a little windy that day. The server was very kind and helpful, he had great recommendations! I really enjoyed my time there and I can't wait to go back with more friends! read more

Used to go here all the time over a decade ago and it was amazing. I am fairly sure it's under a new management probably for sometime, and while they were super nice and they clearly kept many of the same menu items, the quality has gone downhill a bit. The salmon on a thin flatbread was tasty, but again it didn't quite have that next level chef taste to it more standard corner Café than anything. We also got the beet salad, which honestly felt a bit like it came from a can and had bottled Italian dressing put on top of it. The people were super nice. The location is amazing and overall, I'll probably go back, but the quality is not the same as it used to be. I'd honestly rate it 3.5, but you can't do half star ratings. I had the beet salad tonight and it was large, fresh, organic, wonderful housemade dressing, NOT FROM A CAN AT ALL. And inexpensive. (Everything is quite reasonably priced, especially for SF.) And the food was delicious a perfect blend of Brazilian and Italian the service was bar none and like coming home to family and sitting down in the family dining room and moms is in the kitchen and dad is welcoming his loved ones and serving up hot plates. I felt like a VIP guest but everyone was receiving that personalized treatment. Dropped in for lunch with a girlfriend and am so happy we did! We got the Classic Pizza Tarte Flambee & Caprese Salad. Both were delicious! I especially liked how simple yet elegant the dishes were - the natural ingredients shine without the filler/junk. We initially planned on ordering for takeout since we were on our lunch break, but were encouraged to dine in by the owner. Inside is clean and cozy. This is BY FAR my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. My husband and I have been going for years for the Fondue. It's a great price for two and it is my favorite meal of all time. My brunch started with a smoke salmon plate $15. They were out of bagels so they gave me ciabatta bread instead. I liked how the plate came out and how I got to assemble my own smoked salmon sandwich with arugula lettuce, capers, cream cheese, glazed pearl onions, lemon juice, olives and pecans. This tasted great. I wasn't quite full yet, so I got the salumi plate $22. This was OK, not great. It had coppa, prosciutto and salami for the meats. The sour stuff like pepperoncinis, pickles and olives I didn't care for. I wish there were roasted nuts on this charcuterie plate. Regardless, good times. There's outdoor sitting. This is, without a doubt, the best comfort food from Brazil in the Bay Area. Warm atmosphere, service is excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous (I got the Feijoada PF). The food is authentically Minas Gerais-style, prepared with local ingredients that truly capture the flavors of the region. Adriana (I believe that's her name!) is fantastic--she's incredibly friendly and brings a touch of Minas Gerais hospitality. I had the chicken walnut salad and a glass of cabernet sauvignon. Both were tasty, though not spectacular (again, it's a neighborhood cafe). I appreciated the balance of flavors, and the toasted, olived-oil-coated bread with my salad. The serving size was filling. My date got the lasagna. I forgot to ask her how she felt about it, but it looked hearty, cheesy, and decadent. I'm pretty sure I would've enjoyed this more, but I wanted a light dinner. The owner and the woman working were both friendly, smiling, and hard at work, as there were a good amount of diners. I had only pleasant interactions with them. They both wore masks. The vibe was casual, pleasant, and family-friendly. It's located in a quiet part of Noe Valley, and seems like a neighborhood favorite. I haven't been back to Noeteca since the passing of my best friend. We were very close like brothers. He was like my "brothaa" from another "fathaaa." This was his favorite place. We celebrated his birthdays here. Now that I've returned back after several years later, to celebrate his birthday in spirit, Noeteca continues to wow me. The owner is always so welcoming. Today, he ordered for us and look what he brought..... a masterpiece. It was so good, I even picked up the crumbs from the dish. The cheese filling was just fantastic! I find the best time to come here is around 2ish PM. They get very busy for lunch/brunch and dinner so 2ish in the afternoon, you will enjoy this place. It is also tucked and hidden away in the corner between residential neighborhood. I've been here with my dogs and their outdoor seating is perfect for us pooch owners. Did I mention they have excellent cappuccino? For you wine lovers, their choices here are incredible, and their beers here are so smooth! I have to say.... of my top three favorite restaurants in San Francisco to dine in....Noeteca is my top second choice behind Foreign Cinema. Excellent food, excellent service, always welcoming. It was devastating and discriminatory! Several years ago we visited quite often and were very welcomed by the owner. Six months ago we went to have lunch and knit. We were discouraged from sitting inside and asked to eat outside. We all complied and ordered lunch. We just went back last Thursday and were treated incredibly rudely by the owner. He discouraged us from sitting inside and said we could eat outside even though it was a very cold day. Then he suggested we go to an unnamed cafe about 4 blocks away. He was ageist and sexist. We are a group of 60 + years old women. The owner said he was too busy with the lunch crowd although there were only four patrons and many open seats. I have never been treated so poorly ever. I do not recommend this eatery and would highly discourage anyone from eating there. read more

Noeteca is a neighborhood gem in Bernal Heights. Having walked by so many times on ice cream adventures to Mitchell's, it was about time to try. I would say the wine will do its job, but what really makes this place special is the fine food that is offered here, with a very unique menu that I perceive to have a blend of the owner's cultural background. I hate that I'm reviewing this place so low, but the guy and the wine were not awesome. I tried one of the Lachorette French Chards and could tell right away that it was bad / oxidized / open too long. I asked for a fresh glass and was refused. Not only that, the guy kept complaining (in Portuguese) to his coworker (*gasp, the audacity!) About how I asked for a fresh bottle. All of our requests were met with attitude and disdain, all while the DPH was on there writing them up.
