Friendly, cozy, clean, and yummy! Pancakes were light and fluffy, not rubbery. The reindeer sausage was delicious. The biscuits and gravy made my husband happy, and he loves biscuits and gravy. I loved the chicken fried chicken breakfast. Great portion size and combination with pancakes, eggs, and hash browns or home fries included. This seems like a locals place too, which I look for when I'm traveling a lot, but you never know when it comes to small towns if that's a good thing. This is a good thing for this place. Ask your waitress if you need help finding the Matanuska glacier or other adventures. They're friendly and helpful. read more

I'm quite happy I got a chance to stop here for lunch on my recent trip to Alaska. The in-laws live in Palmer and while driving into two from the airport, I saw this place and thought it looked "homey". A perfect place for some comfort food? Perhaps. After some disc golf at Peters Creek with my father-in-law, I decided to buy us lunch here on the way back into town. Walking in, it's exactly what you would expect from a small town dinner. Lots of pictures of local landmarks on the walls, along with silly word placards quoting various sayings and whimsical proverbs. It just felt like a place where locals would come and have a cup of coffee...but also a place where visitors can stop for a meal while traveling through the vast wilderness of Alaska. Ordered up a bowl of their homemade chilli and one of their Jalapeno Burgers. The chilli had a good spicy taste and the Jalapeno Burger tasted and looked like a hand-formed burger with all the fresh fixings. My only complaint would come from the fact that the jalapenos were on the side, not on the burger...could have just called it a Cheeseburger and asked for a side of jalapenos. Whatever the case may be, the quality of the burger MADE the meal. It came with a side of onion rings which weren't soggy or greasy, but crunchy and dry on the outside, moist on the inside. Service was not overly friendly nor overly rude, just "order up and get on with it" attitude (the place was pretty packed). I would definitely come back here the next time I up in the Palmer area and would highly suggest it to anyone who is passing through for good home-cooked meal. read more

For such a broad menu, they really nailed the dishes we tried. We started with a chocolate malted milkshake (with extra malt) and corn fritters. They put enough malt in it that we got rewarded with little chewy morsels of malt. The corn fritters were a solid performer and came with a honey butter that went really well with them. My wife had the veggie wrap with curly fries, both of which I also tried. The wrap was saucy enough to make it good for me to also appreciate. The curly fries were piled high, lightly seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I ordered the Philly Spud, thinking that I shouldn't overdo it since we were sharing other food. The potato was large and generously filled with your typical Philly cheesesteak ingredients. It was a full house at 2:30 pm Sunday afternoon. The server was pleasant and met each of our requests, but it would have been nice if she had been more available. The restaurant is a good value. Really good halibut and chips. Big portion for the $23.95 they charge (which seems high but you're in Alaska after all), and the beer battered chips are tasty. Noisy is an understatement! Uncontrolled kids making an ungodly amount of noise. Food is very, very basic fare. Grilled chicken breast was like sawing through card board. Unless you have uncontrolled kids, skip this nightmare. read more

Had a yummy breakfast on my way to Anchorage. Good pancakes and omelette. Didn't love the home fries but I'm from Jersey, and a Jersey diner sets the standard high! The atmosphere is cute and waitresses were generally friendly. This seems like more of a family place than to eat alone, but that didn't stop me. read more

It's always busy - packed with locals and visitors alike. Last trip there was for breakfast. About a 15 minute wait, but not too bad. Previous experience - can be tricky to get in and out in an hour lunch break. Portions are good sized and the food is pretty good. Better than the Valley Hotel IMO. read more

It was just pot luck that we went to the Noisy Goose, but we are glad we did so. Noisy is an accurate description. BUT, the food was very good. It was fun reading the funny signs and checking out the taxidermy animals, birds, bears, etc. Our server, Melissa, did an exceptional job. She was friendly, personable and efficient. Prices were good, especially considering the size of the servings and there were lots 71432842 of menu choices for all day breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was a good choice. 3.5 stars for the food which was average but being one of the few breakfast places in Palmer I couldn't complain. The service was great and given how busy it was we did not have to wait long. My husband and I had the everything but the kitchen sink skillet while our son enjoyed a waffle. read more

After fishing by GA this is a great stopping place for comfort food or breakfast anytime. Great eggs, burgers and shakes. Great place to eat! They serve breakfast all day, which I love. I had an ham and cheese omelette with pancakes and hash browns. Delicious and generous portion. The pancakes were a bit over done, but still good. Everything else was spot on. My wife had the chicken fried chicken with a baked potato and mash potatoes. Everything seemed was made from scratch and the chicken especially was delicious (I had a bite). My wife liked the potato and mashed potatoes too. The service was pretty good too with coffee and water given the minute we were seated. The environment was nice too. I like all the creative and funny signs. Overall, very satisfied and we'll be back if we travel through again. Next time I'll try lunch or dinner food. read more

We came in at 7:30pm on a Monday night and it seemed the entire town was there! Despite the craziness we were seated quickly and well taken care of. Very friendly service. We quickly realized we should have come for breakfast although they do serve breakfast all day. Hot beef wasn't hot enough but overall a great stop. Omelet and patty melt were awesome! I ordered a side salad and the ranch was absolutely amazing- not sure if it was homemade? Recommend for sure! read more

Ordered two dishes to-go. The server gave me a verbal total which didn't quite make sense--I was in a rush so paid without asking questions. Upon later investigation, it appears I was charged $2.50 more than what was listed on the menu. I messaged the restaurant and found that there was a 10% to-go fee that was omitted from the newly-printed menus. They said the fee has now been dropped, but I'd ask to be sure.
