[[HIGHLIGHT]]For a unique decor on a classic diner food, Noise Goose is your spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The vast menu has lots of options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. There aren't many vegetarian options on menu but the staff is very accommodating and offers great substitutes for vegetarians and gluten free folks alike! Excellent service and a great location right next to the fair grounds make this a must-stop anytime you need a diner in Palmer.

Food was decent, but wait times and service left too much to be desired. 50 min wait for a table on a Sunday seems reasonable, but the anticipated wait time could have been better than a 30 minute window of 30-60 minutes. After getting seated after 50 mins I made the mistake of not saying we had to leave within 45 mins. We didn't think a diner and making an omelette would take 40 minutes, plus we trusted our our server when she said our food should be right out. Unfortunately I had to ask where our food was after 10 minutes and it took another 10 for them to bring it out. All that to say, our food wasn't even being cooked by the time we were told it would almost be out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Though the service was mid, the diner vibe was cute and it seems like this is the only sit down option on a Sunday for brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Give yourself 3 hours, don't be hungry when you arrive & be sure to sit inside where you won't be forgotten and you'll be fine

We were happy it's open later on Friday & Saturdays! Mobbed, but they got through the list fast. Awesome waitress! We REALLY wanted to try local Alaskan seafood, but none of the reviews on this place mentioned them, so we were leery. But seeing the specials (see pic) were were encouraged - and soon delighted with the night's specials! The Halibut melt was awesome, but the clam chowder that came with the sockeye salmon, both spectacular!

Came in for the eggs Benedict, but left craving more Caribou sausage. Service is wonderful and the food beats anything you can get in the lower 48. Best breakfast in Palmer.

This is a regular place for me to visit whenever I'm in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views of the mountains from the restaurant are amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service has been great every time that I've visited. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The food is good, however, I wouldn't say that it's to die for, but it's a good diner experience nevertheless. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Tip: sign yourself in at the front and wait to be seated. Food was great. Waitstaff were nice and helpful. I was up visiting my dad and we went twice while I was there. Code and halibut were very tasty!!! Highly recommend. My only complaint was having to look at dead animals while eating animal was a little strange, but that is a personal preference.

I visited this place twice while I visited the area a couple years ago. It was so good the first time we came back later in the week. I'd describe the menu as a classic diner-inspired menu raised up a notch. The service was good and the restaurant was modern and clean and more open than your old diner so you're not on top of other people. Plus, the name is just awesome and the giant taxidermy bear inside is cool. read more

This is a classic in the MatSu valley. Always packed, but the food is usually worth the wait. The restaurant has a personality if its own: the decorations alone will keep you entertained for quite some time! Pros - super friendly staff, good food and the menu is varied enough that you can find pretty much anything you want. Their baked potatoes are pretty good. Surprisingly, the Noisy Goose was nice, quiet, and warm on the chilly winter morning where I enjoyed my breakfast. Parking is ample, and the building itself has a very homey feel. The banana nut Belgian waffles are delectable, topped with whipped cream, a handful of crushed walnuts, sliced bananas, and served with a side of maple syrup. I love carbs, so you can bet I chowed down on the waffle like a wild animal. I skipped the syrup since it tends cause sogginess. I added on a side of buttered toast with jam, later regretting it (especially for almost $1 per slice!). Definitely a bit steep in pricing for breakfast, and I've had better for less back home. Service was nice - the wait staff are friendly, albeit a bit slow. I don't remember what my sister ordered, as it wasn't memorable. I've noticed that service is slow overall at many of the eateries in Wasilla. This doesn't work well if you're on a time crunch. read more

So I've only been one time, but it was good enough for me to write a review. I wanted to do something different one Saturday morning and decided to drive here for breakfast. I was surprised at how busy it was, like maybe everyone in Palmer decided to get breakfast here. It was about a 20 minute wait so we walked around the parking lot and looked around. We were sat at a booth and were watered and coffeed. All the staff seemed pleasant in spite of the breakfast rush. I will drive the 45 minutes to come for breakfast again. So, one thing that kind of freaked me out were the ducks. I don't like taxidermy in general, but there was something I didn't like about these in particular. We just got into Palmer and noticed this restaurant on our way to our home we were staying in. Noticed it was very busy and figured we would try it out. We are so happy we did. This place is really nice when it isn't filled with church goers who stink up the place and have their gremlins running around. The name says it all. It's a local favorite with unique decor and great photo ops. The food is best described as comfort, delicious food. Service is always very courtesy and friendly. Do note that in August while the state fair is going on right across the street traffic will be a nightmare. But they enforce their parking to ensure only patrons park there. read more

Meh, it's an ok place but probably gets more business due to a lack of local options than it does because of it's great food. Don't get me wrong, I've eaten here many times with will in the future. Cool looking place. An actual taxidermy Brown Bear on display. Lots of funny signs. We were running short on time so we just ordered soup. The soups are homemade. I had the chili which was excellent and my husband had the Green Chili and Chicken Cream Soup, which he said was very good. The staff is helpful and happy. read more

Probably some of the worst food I have ever tried to eat. Patty melt was dried out and tasteless. The turkey melt my wife ordered was also dried out and the meat tasted old. Our son thought the french dip tasted odd and he wouldn't eat most of it. Overall there was nothing good about this experience. read more

My wife and I shared their Wild Goose breakfast burrito ($17.95 plus tax & tip) which came with a side of hash browns and two pancakes. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was very friendly. This is a great restaurant! The staff is amazing. They made us feel at home. My husband and I was visiting family in Alaska and my husband came across this great place. We had breakfast here every morning while we were visiting. We had tea here with our meal. I tried to purchase one of their teapots from them so me and my husband could continue a great little tradition back home. They were unable to sell us one but we will continue this tradition. It brought us peace and love for one another another. We have told our family about this place that lives in Anchorage. We will definitely be back to the Noisy Goose and Alaska! Great family restaurant! Everything was delicious- we enjoyed the burgers, French dip, ranch wrap, and sandwiches. The milkshakes and pies were great as well. Per my brother: "the caramel banana milkshake was the best milkshake I've ever had." The fries are great any way. The decor is amusing and interesting as well! Lots of booths and tables, quite a big dining room. It's not fancy. But it's always busy. It's very affordable. We often used to come for just a piece of pie, and they had a delicious blueberry pie, which unfortunately wasn't offered the other night when I was there. I don't care too much for banana cream this or chocolate chess that - they're just too sweet for me, I'm not that much of a dessert person. I was sort of hoping they might have pumpkin pie, as it's almost that time but they didn't have any. I try to have it at least once or twice in fall. I went for the least offensive option which in this case was apple pie. I went for a la mode, and as the server had trouble understanding my accent (happens a lot) I gave her my best American accent of a la mode, which made her laugh. I googled why having ice cream on your pie is called a la mode, because apparently, USA is the only country that uses this term anymore. A la mode, literally translates to in the fashion. A strange term to describe ice cream on your pie. Anyway, I don't know why I got it, as I don't really like solid ice cream, I like it when it gets melty, or to be honest, I would rather have had heavy cream, but rarely does a restaurant or cafe offer that as an option, like you'd get in England. The pie came, it was huge, and there was a half gallon of ice cream on it. I gave it to husband, and he put it on top of his cheesecake, after scraping off the whipped cream, and giving that to me. This was whipped cream from a can I believe, as it's very aerated. The pie was pretty good and nicely spiced with cinnamon, which husband objected to. He said it had a little too much in, but I liked it. One of the strangest things about the menu - which is pretty extensive by the way, are the prices. There are no round numbers, and the cents are never the same either. I assume this is because of the sales tax? Like one thing might be $4.33, then something else will be $7.59 so that when they ring it up and add the sales tax, it comes out at a nice round number? Is that right? Anyway, no complaints, you can always get a seat, service is prompt and friendly, and there's great views from the window seats.

This is my favorite little dinner in all of AK, we have been here for almost 16 years and still love this place. The waitresses are always super nice and friendly. They service breakfast all day which is a plus. The only thing that ever disappointed was when we drove out and they was closed. read more
