The place has a special quality that's hard to define. The kitchen delivers on taste, the staff on attentiveness, and the bill on fairness. Ordered lunch delivery off Grubhub and it was exactly what I needed after a night out. Pho is my typical recovery food, but I think a banh mi plus broth from Nom Nam might be my new go-to. The banh mis are some of the softest banh mis I've ever eaten, none of that scrape the roof of your mouth crunchiness (which I appreciate sometimes but not when hungover lol). The bread still has a nice bite and I like that it came warm even with delivery. The chicken and pork were both delicious with great flavor on the meat. The ham and pate is also a great choice with the typical Vietnamese cold cuts and the perfect amount of pate. I love that they serve broth as a side without having to order an entire bowl of pho. The chicken broth is rich but not overpoweringly so, with great depth of flavor. I just drink it straight out of the takeout container and feel healed afterwards :) read more

Troi oi, what a cute place Nom Nam was. Brightly lit, painted ceilings, lots of fun Vietnamese decor inside. Decent amount of seating inside and a bar for additional seating. Staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Watch out for the wind breeze as everytime the front door opens a cold breeze rushes into the restaurant. Menu is accomodating for those with dietary needs, listing out options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free. Crispy spring rolls were delicious, they first seemed a little small for the price, but they have lots of nuoc cham (dipping sauce) that made me instantly take the romaine lettuce and wrap it so I could dip it like a banh xeo. With that method it was perfect. Eat the garnish everyone! Pho was filled with tons of meat with both a flavorful and clean broth. Not a spec of oil seen on it which I really appreciate. They did a great job skimming that 26 hour broth. Flan was great too, topped with vietnamese coffee and reminded me a lot of an afrogato. We split it between the three of us and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. It's hard to come by a great Vietnamese spot like Nom Nam in NYC. read more

I came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon with a friend since I work nearby. The place is relatively new and there's not much Vietnamese restaurants (if any at all) in the area. We ordered the grilled pork bun (vermicelli rice noodle) salad bowl and the OG pho (beef noodle soup). I liked the bun salad bowl more then the pho. The grilled pork was charred and the sauce was flavorful. The meat portion was quite large. The pho was a bit bland though. Service was fast and friendly. It's a bit pricey but it's on par with the rest of the neighborhood. I might come back and try the banh mi. read more

A cute little spot that opened in Murray Hill, NYC. They serve a variety of comfort Vietnamese food including pho, baos, banh mi, and more! It's a cozy little restaurant with a colorful flair. The service is amazing and very fast. My bf is obsessed with the broth in the pho that he packed his left over broth to go to eat it the next day. Best part is we were not thirsty after the meal or even hours later. We've had amazing pho before but it always leaves us super thirsty. This was not the case. Bravo! Literally the best that we have in Manhattan. So relieved that there is a place that I can go to instead of travelling to Bronx for pho. I would say that the broth here is light, but great especially for NYC. The place I usually go to in the Bronx is heavier broth wise and comes with more toppings. I ordered the OG pho ($14.50 + tax) and it comes with brisket and flank. Toppings and noodles are on point. I would say tables are super small. Only saw one 4 seater and majority of 2 people tables so definitely not mega large group friendly. Service is super friendly. Will definitely come back. read more

Reasonably priced, tasty pho, and good sized portion. I got the Nom Nam Pho and was surprised at how much meat was given. The marrow was lovely, next time I'm going to get the full-sized bone. Staff was friendly, food came out fast. All the pho is gluten free so long you don't use the hoisin sauce. There isn't much else on the menu that's GF, so something to be aware of if you are not coming for pho. The place is a bit small, so coming with a large group may prove difficult. New vietnamese option in Murray Hill, which is gladly welcome after the sad closings of the Pho 5 and Sai Gon Dep through the pandemic. I can finally get my pho on again! The setting is very modern and clean, with vibrant decor that livens the place. Service was also very prompt, which is impressive since a single lady was handling most of the front of house tasks. In terms of food, everything was quite satisfying. I tried the OG Pho item, which as the name suggests is the classic take on the noodle soup. I also tried some of the summer roll and banh mi. The only caveat was that the banh mi's portion seemed smaller than many others I have tried. Will definitely be coming back whenever I have the urge for pho! read more

Nom Ñam is a small, lively Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious small batch sodas. Pho was very tasty, and the broth was some of the most complex and fragrance I've ever had. Order the special pho named in honor of the restaurant which comes with beef shank bone marrow. My noodles were slightly overdone, but this meal was nearly flawless. Nothing better than a big bowl of pho on a cold winter day. This restaurant doesn't disappoint. They have clearly labeled vegan options too. The inside is cute and clean. Food came out quickly but we never felt rushed. I really enjoyed how full of ingredients the pho was and you can add additional if you want. Great sport for healthy wholesome meals. So glad to have a quality Vietnamese place in the neighborhood. In the past couple of weeks we've been here twice. Restaurant is small and casual but great music and ambiance. Food comes out so fast, nice drinks menu (cocktails, wine, non alcoholic). Delicious pho, banh mi and the steak bowl. Can't go wrong with anything here honestly. read more

Cute spot, what I loved about the place was also that the gluten free items were labeled and they were mindful of the sauces and letting you know what gf and what's not. The food pretty okay though, I like the fact you can get different toppings with the pho, especially some of the more traditional options eg. Tripe and tendon, but the broth, for the number of hours it's supposedly cooked for, is still a bit bland. Service was great though, so if you're looking for a bite with friends, I'd still say it's a good hang out spot. read more

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in NYC! I'm obsessed with their pork baos and Saigon wings!! The pork baos is very flavorful and the pork is cooked so right. I also tried their Murray Hill Spicy Pho and there's so much ribs in it. I thought it tasted very unique. Their flans are very unique in that it has a coconut flakes on it. I just wished they put ice with the flan, but besides that, it's very delicious! The service is fast and the decor is very chill. I highly recommend Nom Nam for a casual date night and whenever you're craving Vietnamese food! read more

The dumplings have this delicious fried ginger sauce and they were perfectly pan fried. The filling was flavorful and I get these every time I go, whether I have room for them or not! The og pho is packed with flavor. I find it hard not to drink all of the broth. It has a delicious umami and salty flavor with a little bit of a kick that makes it so good. Services was also great. This is the best pho there is. There are other ramen places in the area but it's completely different and it doesn't compare. The staff are super hospitable and the manager is such a kind person. I usually ask them to surprise me, and they are so thoughtful. I've gone here about 30 times, and that wouldn't even be an exaggeration. read more

Came here during my lunch break from work, and decided to do dine in instead of order taking out. Their menu for dine in is different from the one they have on grubhub. They don't have the beef ball pho option for dine in. I ordered the Nom Nam pho and broth was super flavorful, and even came with a bone! Although the price is more pricier compared to other pho places in nyc, I think it's justified since there aren't many authentic pho places in Murray Hill. read more

I have no words for how GREAT this place was! From the aesthetic, to customer service to the actual food, I had to give this place 5 stars. This place has the best pho I've ever tasted. Their broth is cooked and seasoned to perfection - My boyfriend LOVED that they served hot Thai tea and iced which was absolutely delicious. The ambiance is super intimate and there's limited seating - but I noticed even though they were full, they were able to seat new customers generally fast. Customer service was amazing - super attentive and quick yo check us out. I am definitely recommending this to any person looking for a great pho spot out here. read more

For the mains we went with the beef flank pho and the banh mi combination special. The pho had a clean, well developed broth that clearly had some time put into it, and the beef flank was tender enough to make you slow down and pay attention. The banh mi combo was solid, balanced, and hit all the right notes. We did not get the tacos this visit, which means we have a built in reason to return and nobody can argue with that logic. For a small room in the middle of one of the busiest cities on the planet, Pho 39 manages to feel genuinely calm and focused.
