Me and a friend went here for a casual dinner on a week night. The atmosphere is really cute and there is a great mural on the ceiling. Spot is quite small so seating could be tough to find at peak hours. I got the banh mi with ham and pate and it was delicious, I had never had a pate banh mi before but loved it. Very fresh vegetables and meat was great. I also got the jasmine tea -- just your regular jasmine tea. The menu had a variety of cute mock tail options I would definitely try next time I'm back. One of my new favorite restaurants now! Their banh mi, is simple but it is perfect every single bite. Bread doesn't hurt my mouth, lemongrass chicken is sooo flavorful, pate and butter is the perfect amount. It is not as filling as some other banh mis I've had for cheaper, but I think the quality of this one makes it so worth it! Their broth is also so delicious, one of my faves in the city. A small restaurant so can be easily forgotten but definitely try it out! Staff is always so friendly too. read more

Enjoyed my solo dinner here. It's a cute, small Vietnamese restaurant with an array of dishes to choose from. If dining alone you can sit by the window where there's a two seater bar table. I started with the viet bao (1pc/$6). It was packed with flavor and a really good sauce complementing the pork. I also got a Thai iced tea and the steak pho ($13.50). Tea was good and the pho was amazing. Had lots of flavor and was a good size. The service here was great. I would definitely come back. read more

The restaurant is pretty small and packed but I think the food was decent. There's a bar so you can order cocktails...but the shrimp summer rolls were rather small unsure but had decent shrimp. The pho was decent, the broth was not super flavorful. The dumplings were pretty good though and was probably the best part of the dinner which was sad given that I wanted pho. read more

Fairly new Viet resto in Kips Bay/Murray Hill. Clean, well lit, sparse, 9 tables. The rice paper summer rolls with shrimp were what one would expect. Skimp on the shrimp which should have been chopped and spread throughout the roll. Reminds me, that it's high time I make these myself ......the right way! Mom's dumplings (beef) were very tasty, but without any fire, as the lemongrass chili oil was pretty much absent. My son had nom nan pho, I had the Murray Hill (with bone in short rib and spicy sate paste). Both of us loved the broth. Rich, almost sweet (allspice) with my sate paste infusing a bit of heat into the mix. Provided a steak knife to get at the short ribs, this was a difficult exercise cutting below the surface and getting at the meat (extremely fatty) with my feeling being shorted as to the protein in this dish. The sides of bamboo shoots, thai basil (truly skimpy) for add ins were just that skimpy. While I see and report on shortfalls, the food was good, well prepared, but I need a bit more spice to my thai dishes. Prices were moderate so I'm not disappointed. This spot is a true gem on East 34th Street between 3rd/2nd avenue. My boyfriend and I had several appetizers and pho with chicken, and nothing disappointed. We both left the restaurant saying "I'd definitely go back there again", which doesn't often happen in NYC, but this place is great. We got their fried chicken bao buns, crispy/spicy Brussels sprouts, and fresh summer rolls before our pho. Pretty good spot for some well priced Vietnamese food. I've been a few times to try their Banh Mi, Op La, and the Pho. Hits the spot but I'd hesitate to say it's some of the best in the category. The only thing holding back most of their dishes with bread in it is that the bread isn't too great. Interior is fairly minimal and well done, and service is pretty quick. Ordered the ham + pate banh mi and an iced coffee for take out. The banh mi is a little on the smaller side, but pretty loaded with pate and a good amount of cha and Vietnamese meats. The baguette was nicely toasted - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Coffee was strong, but def gives you that energy kick. read more

I just came back from lunch at Nom Nam! Wow! I can safely say that this will be my go-to spot for Pho - and more - here in NYC! The food was fantastic! The broth for the pho was just great - beefy and flavorful! I also sampled the Shrimp Summer Rolls, which were simple and delicious. The fresh mint and peanut sauce were the perfect accompaniments! The service was effective but still so friendly and warm! Even though it was my first time there, I felt very welcome - almost like family! I'm sure with a few more visits, I'll feel like I've been coming there for years! The space is tiny - fewer than 10 tables, I'd say, along with some seats at a couple of counters! I've ordered from this place twice now. I love that they offer vegan pho and that they use regular tofu vs other kinds of fake meat, which can have an odd texture. The veggies used in the vegan pho are shredded curly kale and baby bok choy, which I find a little odd considering there are so many other options you can use (carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, etc). There is always more kale than I would like, and I also feel the texture doesn't work well with the soup (which is my personal opinion), but I was willing to deal with that. I think my biggest issue is each time I have ordered, I ask for extra hoisin and sriracha sauce, and they don't provide this. They only offer 1 small packet of each (ketchup size packets), which is not enough. How hard is it to just throw in an extra packet of each? The stinginess with the sauce packets is what made me stop ordering from this place. I started ordering from Saigon Shack instead and have been satisfied. read more

Came for a late lunch and was glad they were open off hours. Really enjoyed the chicken pho, it was light and flavorful. Service was solid. It's a small spot, so I imagine it would be quite a squeeze during a lunch or dinner rush, but it was decorated in a cheerful manner that didn't make it feel quite as small as it could have. It is a very cute small place. Very well lit and was greeted immediately by the host. She sat me down at a table where I had enough space to store my carry on suitcase as I was grabbing some pho before heading back home to Las Vegas. I ordered the rare steak pho which the broth was absolutely delicious and hot. It came within 10 min. I also ordered a limeade soda was delicious and fresh. The pho was pretty large and I was pretty full by the time I finished it and still had some leftover. I will be coming back during my next visit to NYC. read more

If you're coming with a group of 3 or more, seating can be a bit tight. The food however, was on point. I'm typically picky with pho, cause my dad's homemade pho always reigns superior. Went back today for lunch and ordered the bo luc lac again. Delicious as before. (This was my third time.) This time I also had the Vietnamese flan for dessert, which was very thick and rich and yummy. Heavier than a standard French flan. Mostly I'm reviewing again to add the wheelchair accessibility note: There is a lovely large and modern wheelchair accessible bathroom with grab bars. My only quibble is that I think the wall soap dispenser within wheelchair reach might have been out of soap and the dispenser on the counter top may have been a bit far for a solo wheelchair user to reach. (Since I am not a wheelchair user, this is a best guess.) read more
