Customer service used to be excellent but has gone down hill fast. The staff at the burdock st location is flat out rude. Waited over 30 minutes past the promised time for the food and when I asked if it was coming they didn't even check on it just said it will be done in order. Updated to add: 30 minutes went by and now they are telling me they don't even have the order. When i asked why she didn't check that 30 minutes ago when I asked she said it is not her fault. I don't know what Nonla has going on but they need to fix their customer service, that is what they were always best known for. read more

Love this little burger restaurant in Kalamazoo. I'm always late to the game on new & exciting businesses opening up but eventually I get out a nd try new places, which are now over 2 years old. My coworker & I came here this past Friday for lunch. We were busy and were taking a late lunch, which was good for us as Nonla Burger's was relatively quiet since the lunch time rush was over. Little describes Nonla Burger. It has a very small parking lot around a very small building on a very busy intersection. The order counter is right inside the door. On the wall is their entire menu, which takes up only nine lines. Burgers, a chicken sandwich, a salad, fries, shake of the day and pop. I like places that don't make me read through a large menu. There are 3 booths in the front section and 3 or 4 in the back section. Plus a couple of picnic tables and tables & chairs outside. I ordered the cheese burger with the Shake of the Day "Cookies & Cream". My coworker had their burger of the day "Western" and fries. Our food was delivered to our table in less than 5 minutes. I absolutely loved my burger. It had a great flavor and I knew it came from good beef. I loved the Nonla Sauce, which was similar to 1000 Island, that was spread on the burger. My shake was to die for. I don't know what ice cream they use, but it was creamy and delicious. My co-worker, who has food allergies, was super impressed. The counter personnel were very understanding when she told them no bun and no cheese. Her burger came wrapped in a lettuce leave and she loved it. We both shared the hand-cut fries which were prepared exactly how I like them - crispy on the outside but soft inside. Customer service goes a long way for me. How I'm greeted often gives me a sense of that same attention being put into what's being served. We were greeted with smiles and eager attitudes to make sure customers were happy. We ordered a chicken sandwich, burger and veggie burger with fries. The fries were crispy and tender with the perfect amount of salt. The presentation of our meal, boxed and wrapped in a ready to eat fashion was impressive. Everything was great, the freshness and flavor were top notch. It was worth going off the beaten path from the freeway to get delicious food instead of the normal burger fare. Pickles!! Get the pickles. So worth the extra 50 cents and wanted to take some home too. So the menu is simple. You can get a burger/cheeseburger or a chicken sandwich, fries and a shake or pop. We got a burger with the Nonla sauce, a double cheeseburger and an order of their hand cut fries. I'm not a huge burger person but this was awesome. The Nonla sauce was delicious. Seriously, even if you think it sounds odd or you don't usually like mayo, try it. And get the pickles. Food came out looking great and fresh. First thought this is really in Kalamazoo?!? After tasting everything, second thought this is really in Kalamazoo?!? We were in town visiting family and based on Yelp reviews and recommendations from local friends decided to try it out. Excellent burgers and fries!!! The nonla sauce makes the burgers!! They are fresh, good, and cheap! They come with lettuce, onion, tomato, and nonla sauce. They are a good size... not slider size but not overly huge. My in-laws had the vegetarian burger and said it was one of the best they have had. The fries are light, crispy, salty and not too greasy. Some of the best hand-cut fries I've had. I would say getting the burgers to go is the best option. The place is underwhelming to sit and eat there. It's very, very small with only 6 tables or so, very cold with the door being open all the time, and people standing all around you while you are eating. We were there around 1 pm on a Saturday and we walked right in and sat down and ordered but I heard the lines are long and they have limited seating. The parking is scarce as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will be back next time in town to try the chicken sandwich....and get more fries. :) read more

Service was wonderful! The burgers were good despite being quite thin, I'd recommend a double if you're hungry. The featured salad was also very delicious and had a tasty ginger/orange vinaigrette that was made in house. Was greeted by two high schoolers who ended up "losing my ticket". When I think of Kalamazoo, amazing food isn't the first thing that comes to mind but that's exactly what you'll get when you go to Nonla Burger! I traveled around Michigan for a week and I can say without a doubt, this is the best food I had on my trip. I even went back for seconds! I'm a vegetarian and was unsure if they would have anything I could eat besides fries but followed my carnivorous friend in anyways. The super friendly staff was SO helpful and patient. Offering me a delicious veggie patty or a grilled cheese which is off their secret menu. I recommend ordering everything you get "Nonla Way" which adds grilled onions, cilantro, cucumbers and jalapeños. Drool worthy. Everything we got was beyond delicious and both meat eater and vegetarian were more than satisfied. Seriously so good, I'll be dreaming of this place on my way back to California. Had takeout last night from Nonla for the first time. I've heard a bunch of great things about this place and I was NOT disappointed! Their chicken Sando was delicious and the cheeseburgers were mouthwatering. They were quick, said 10 minutes for 3 sandwiches and they were done before that (slow business). I also got two orders of fries (no, this wasn't all just for me...) and they hooked us UP! It was almost like we ordered three large fries. Was on a trip so we stopped for a bite to eat. First the positive - I liked the limited menu. Very straightforward! Prices were ok. A little high on drinks. The double burger was on point! I have not been disappointed by Nonla. Their burgers are great and priced even better. The Nonla way fries are hands down delicious! Serivce is always friendly and quick. It can be tough to find a seat as it only has 5 inside tables. During the spring/summer there is more seating outside.
