Just had the Hot Chicken Sando today and my wife got the Crispy Chicken Sando. Today was the best I have had from here. Everything was fresh. Chicken was cooked perfectly and my hot chicken was nice and spicy with a cayenne bite (I'm something of a heatseeker). Fries were plentiful, crispy and a little greasy (in a good way) with just the right amount of salt. Staff was friendly and professional as always. If you pull up and see a long wait at the drive thru, it is for a good reason - this place is totally worth the wait. Only regret is not eating at their outside tables. This little place is great! It's small inside, only 4 or 5 small tables. They took our order when we walked in and we had a table just as our order was up. Simple menu. We got burgers and hand cut fries. The burgers were juicy and delicious. There was a generous helping of fries and they were some if the best I've had. Each day they have a shake flavor of the day that is hand made with ice cream. This day was strawberry. Soooo good. The staff were awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Quite a few people ordered take out when we were there. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend trying this place. read more

I'm apologizing in advanced for the middle of the road review, but I always have to be honest and 3 1/2 isn't possible. This is in the trendy stadium and drake plaza and it's brand spanking new so I get there are some kinks to work out. So the bad, I asked for a side of nonla sauce because I am a Nonla burger newbie and always like new things on the side and I didn't receive it, the fries needed to be seasoned just a tiny bit more, and the biggest error was the amount of sharp onions on the burger. My sinuses are draining as we speak and I actually had to remove most of them to continue eating the burger and I'm a big fan of onions, but there is such thing as too much of a good thing. The burger itself, seasoned perfectly, the cheese was melted perfectly, absolutely no complaints there, it was a very delicious burger. The fries, despite needing a small dose of salt. We're perfectly crunchy and fresh. Hand cut fries are always a fan favorite for me. I will definitely give this place another shot, I just think I'll give it some time to work out a few things. PS please offer a non-carbonated sugar free option for a beverage!!!! read more

I was finally able to try the new branch of Nonla on drake street! It definitely has a bigger space than the one on burdick's. I loved the decoration with all the random photos on the wall as shown in the picture posted. We went on a friday night, it was busy. We ordered cheeseburgers, nonla special fries, and the lettuce cheese burger. The cheeseburger contains tomato, onjons, lettuce and nonla special sauce it is a must have! The bun is mouthwatering, fluffy and not too buttery. The lettuce burger was good but I would get the double burger next time because it felt like you are just eating lettuce without the taste of meat. I could not not try their shake, it was vanilla for that day, and tbh it was extremely good! Cant wait to try other flavors. The special fries are a must! We stopped here at lunchtime on Saturday around noon. Busy very small place limited seating and menu. But the focus is on doing it right! My husband ordered the NB double burger meal and I ordered the crispy chicken Sando sandwich. I loved the chicken sandwich great flavor and the added carrot made it delicious! Tender juicy and flavorful. My husband said his burger was fresh meat, hot and juicy. We both enjoyed the crisp hot fries. If I lived in the area this would be a great go to place for a quick burger or chicken sandwich. read more

So, I hadn't been to the South Burdick store in a few months. I walked into the new store on Drake rd and was remembered by name(awesome). The place was packed. The line was out the door. I ordered a salmon sandwich and a double burger and the food is stellar. Another home run and now they're within walking distance.Every time we've been there the food has been great and the service is killer. Keep up the excellent job. read more

I have been a loyal customer for the original Nonla burger location and was so happy to have the new NB on Drake road. Overall, it was pretty similar to the original NB but the bun was drier and the chicken breast was also drier compared to what I had in the past. I will definitely re-try this location. read more

They make a great burger with fresh ingredients; definitely order it the Nonla way. I've never had fresh, crispy pickles quite like theirs, and the grilled onions, sauce and cilantro add something unique and special. They also have an excellent chicken sandwich and fries. read more

I never knew about this place, odd drive thru location that you barely notice, but at least they have one. The menu is nice and simple. My fries were good, but barely warm. The chicken sando was very hot, and the chicken itself good, juicy and fried perfect. It comes with pickled vegetables on it which was different, I think carrots and cabbage, they weren't strong, but actually very light in flavor. I'd prefer this over the other chicken chains sandwiches. Personally I'd skip the pickled veg and take it more classic. The staff was very Vice, and service was fast. I was at the new location on Tuesday and had a NB double. It was so so yummy I decided to go back on Thursday to try the chicken sando. Wow! It was so fresh and I could tell it was made to order. And those fries... I can't stop thinking about them. Now for the decor, has anyone seen a cooler place in Kalamazoo? The murals, the wall of "Life," the retro floors and even the bathrooms are unique! It all comes together. Nonla Burger on Drake serves delicious food in a charming atmosphere. While the food is good, the through put and ordering process is a complete cluster foxtrot. The seating area is far too small for the volume they do, and the wait to get a simple hamburger is far too long. We ordered 2 hamburgers and an order of fries " to go" and our food came out 15 minutes later on a tray. When she finally brought the order back in a bag , one of the hamburgers was made wrong with cheese added, so we had to wait another five minutes to have a hamburger made without cheese. By the time we got everything and left, the french fries were cold. When ordering, it's a small counter and the order process is much like McDonald's or Burger King, yet the employee flipped the screen around and asked us to sign and add a tip "if you want," all the while she's glaring at you. All she did was take our order. She didn't bring it out to us, it wasn't made correctly, we weren't seated etc. etc. so we don't leave tips for that. Not to mention they also had a tip jar up there requesting tips ( so tacky). I realize the restaurant has a good following, but unfortunately that can probably be attributed to the fact that Kalamazoo has very few restaurants and people are desperate for anything new at all. This definitely wouldn't last in a bigger city like Chicago or Detroit. The worst part of the visit was the numerous health code violations we witnessed. The worst was a girl in street clothes taking a tub of ice that had been sitting on the floor where all the employees were walking and prepping food, and then climbing on a ladder to dump the ice into an ice machine. She then proceeded to take the empty ice tub and slam the bottom of it down on top of the ice machine to break it up, but actually contaminated all the ice with whatever is on the bottom of the bin and on the bottom of everyone's shoes. Great food. Great prices. The people that work there are amazing. I recommend Nonla to everyone looking for a food burger. read more
