This is a decent neighborhood place for a slice, not a gourmet destination. A slice of chicken parmigiana was tasty, with just the right amount of cheese and chicken. Slices of pizza margherita impressed and disappointed at the same time, the basil was delicious, but the pizza dripped oil, almost as if it had peperoni or a fatty meat topping. Crusts were fresh and well cooked on both kinds of pizza and the counter person asked another person whether she wanted her slice well done, suggesting careful service. I live down the block and have been ordering for about 2 years. Well today I had the most unpleasant experience and will never go back. In fact, I plan to let my neighbors aware of the rude employees and suggest going elsewhere. I ordered a large pie with sausage for delivery. The pie came and the dough was raw, cheese was all over the place, and the pie did not fit in the box so it was all flapped over. I walk back with the pie to show them the mess that was delivered and to make a new pizza. Instead of apologizing and acknowledging the facts as stated above, I received a lecture on how the box has to be held perfect (meanwhile it was delivered) and that he makes pies light. Do not order here! I would put a negative star review if possible. Ordered a large pizza & 15pc wings. Pizza was average but the wings horrible... they were so small with almost no meat! If i had to guess, i would think that they used pigeons instead of chicken, plus very expensive $27.00 for my order of those two things.. if u want pizza that bad, take the effort to go to another of the dozen plus pizzerias in white plains. read more

Amazing food at decent prices. While I only live a block away from this place I never noticed it. I only learned about it after my building had them cater our holiday party. Since then I convinced a friend to cater her party from here and have been back multiple times. My sister tried the pizza and said it was the best pizza she's ever had. Donna's has a full menu with tons of options (chicken fingers, salads, etc). This isn't really an eat in kind of place (unless you just sit for a few minutes to eat a slice) but It's my new favorite take out choice. read more

i have moved to White Plains from long Island recently and seen that this restaurant had a three star rating so i just had to try when it was time to get my pizza fix. well i ordered delivery two different times just to make sure of my opinion before posting. I will admit that the delivery service both times was fast. My order was simple and the same both times. Well done Cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks. upon arrival i dove into the mozzarella sticks and found they were blah. no flavor, very little seasoning. onto the pizza; it wasnt well done and it like the sticks had little seasoning. Great pizza in a city where decent pizza is hard to find. Nonna's is where I get my pizza, no place else. As a girl from Brooklyn, NY, I know good pizza. When I moved to White Plains, I nearly had a heart attack after eating from numerous pizza places and getting nothing but crap... And then one day while doing laundry I discovered Nonna's. The crust is my favorite part of their pizza, it has the right amount of crunch and chew to it, not too thin, not too thick, not too doughy. The pasta is so really good, as is their garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. This place is 10,000,000,000 times better than the pizza shop down the street. UPDATE: Just tried their Philly Cheese Steak Special and oh my goodness it is good. There are two different versions one is the "Wedge" with just cheese and steak and the "Special" which has cheese, steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions. The place is small but super cute and the staff is super friendly. You almost forget the neighborhood is a bit of a dive because of the quaint feel of the shop. They're also really good about me ordering delivery when I only live less than 5 minutes away because I'd have to carry my food up a ginormous hill. They're a really good community oriented place, they support the local schools, display their contributions with pride. I don't know what else to say, I feel guilty if I order a pie from any place that isn't Nonna's, it's like cheating on lover that has treated me so well. read more

Last night a friend and I ordered a grandma pie online that stated the ingredients on that pie were parmesan cheese, crushed tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and basil. Since I have a dairy allergy we asked for no parmesan cheese on 1/2 of the pie. My friend even spoke to someone on the phone to make sure our order was correct. At this time the person even read back the ingredients. When we got our delivery there was a surprise layer of cheese under the tomatoes. We didn't get mad, but we called the restaurant to tell them there had been a mistake. They began to argue that that is just the way the pizza is made and that they don't deal with the online orders. That's ridiculous. Not only did they give us an attitude, but they kept saying they were really busy and could not send over another pie because it would take an hour. When we said we'd wait they then told us that they would charge us for the correct pie. When we asked to speak to a manager they said they stepped out, which we find hard to believe considering it was 6:00 in the evening. Long story short they didn't correct the order, they didn't offer to refund our money, and were incredibly rude. Definitely will not be ordering from here again. I called after a hard days work just wanted to not cook. Guy showed up early but didn't call and didn't knock on my door. I heard someone talking outside so went out to see if it was him. I said hey are you the delivery guy he retorts yeah in a gangsters attitude like what's it to ya are you gonna come down and get your food? I stood there like hey are you coming up? Then he actually said What's the problem? I think I would be saying that to him not him saying that to a paying customer. I said I'm calling your manager then he said go ahead. I basically paid $18.00 to be treated like shit and wonder if I was going to get my food. So food was good but I was already in a sour mood so really didn't do me any justice. Get the square pan pizzas!!! Very good, crusty crust. I got the margherita and it was very delicious. It had mozzarella, garlic, sauce and fresh basil. Only critique would be to put the basil on after you cook the pizza, because it becomes a little bitter once cooked. Also got an order of Garlic knots which weren't very good. Not garlicky at all.
