Yes yes yes!!! I'd been craving Gus's famous fried chicken (from Memphis) for a while! When my…read morefriend suggested Charlie's I had my doubts. Boy oh boy am I glad we went!! Chicken was perfection! The perfect amount of batter, chicken was so tender and juicy! I'm not a huge fan of gravy so getting it on the side was perfect for me. My mom got the bourbon maple salmon and the woman ate the whole thing!! She's a leftovers lover, so her finishing her plate is very unlike her!! My friend go the best dish, in my opinion. He got the walleye and fries!! It's HUGE, delicious and fresh!! The tartar sauce is also a hit, something I find is always a hit or miss at restaurants!! We were celebrating a birthday so got the peach cobbler. So yummy!! The only thing I'd change is instead of whipped cream serve with ice cream!! 10/10 would recommend!! Live music on Tuesdays is also a great add on!! Our 20 month old loved the music!

We walked in and the bourbon wall was impressive! We enjoyed quite a few pours with great recommendations from the bartenders. I ordered the Rib Eye with Collard Greens and my Bf got the hot chicken sandwich. We both loved the good! The deviled eggs were also fantastic! If you're into bourbon, this is a place for you!

is not enough! I've driven past this little spot many times and have often wondered about it-- glad…read morewe finally stopped to try it out! First off, the wait staff is so friendly and high spirited, their smiles and laughter were infectious! They kept refills on our coffee coming, and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything once the food arrived/we were digging in. The food is FANTASTIC! You can tell everything is fresh made, and made by someone who loves their job. My husband had the country fried steak and LOVED it; gravy was flavorful, batter on the meat was crispy and light. My aunt had a Swiss and kielbasa omelette and she said she'll be coming back for another soon! I had the corned beef has--not from a can at this place! the corned beef is cooked in-house, then thinly shaved, so it crisps when it's fried with the onions, green peppers and hashed potatoes. This is truly the best and freshest corned beef hash I've ever eaten. I am salivating just thinking about it. CANNOT WAIT to go back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

After we sat at a table near the counter, we ordered fairly quickly and our meals were simple. Our waitress was fine, not friendly but not rude. While we waited, we barely could have our own conversation cuz all we could hear is the wait staffing talking bad about other wait staff and customers that has just left. When we got our order of biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were hard and dry and the gravy was legitimately cold like it sat is a cooler! The bacon was burnt and the hash browns half cooked. The lady who was cooking, unsure if a manager or not, did try and apologize which was appreciated, but was followed everything up with an excuse that they're trying to close. Mind you, we were there 2 hours before close and was there for maybe 30 min total. Awful experience all around. I definitely won't be back.

Decided to give this place a try on Memorial Day weekend and went specifically for happy hour deals…read moreand also decided to eat dinner. Happy hour: well drinks $4 (great deal), wine and margarita good deals too. Note that craft beer was not on happy hour (disappointing). Appeared only bottled beers were on happy hour; wish that beer on tap was at least some discount like $1 off would be a nice perk. Craft beer tall was $8.50. Ouch. (Even the local river edge's brewery doesn't charge that much.) Select appetizers were $7. Pretzels were okay. Not very good flavoring and a little tough chewy for our liking. The mustard was more honey mustard texture instead of stone mustard that I prefer with pretzels. The beet cheese was good. They do give a generous amount of beer cheese. Main course/meals: husband got the Alabama smash burger which he said was good and flavorful. Fries were good with a nice coating. I had the steak tacos. I do want to note I have a tomato allergy so needed to make some modifications and also don't like grilled onions. However I was very disappointed with the steak tacos. They were very small size (like appetizer to me) and all it had was the steak and melted cheese. Lettuce and avocado would have gave these some flavor. I asked for a side of beer cheese with the tortilla chips since I could have salsa. I was upcharged $3. Very confusing because bill said it was taken off then it was added back on at the bottom of the bill?! They have a bar area that is separate from the rest of the restaurant. They have a lot of seating with a mix of tables and booths. Bill was $70 for 2 tall beers, 1 well drink, 1 appetizer, burger and tacos. Plus tip was almost $90. Disappointing and not worth the money. Many other places locally that you get more food and drinks for the money.
