I really like this place. I work really close by so I tend to eat here once to twice a month, at least. The food does usually take 10-15 minutes, but it's worth it! I love that you can order "small" sizes of the bowls. I personally love the Sweet Thai chicken bowls. Their slaw is amazing, don't skip it! If you aren't sure about it, order it on the side. 1 star is for the good customer service when ordering. Ordered small green beans sautéed in garlic, one of our favorites was excited to eat them. Ordered chicken Osaka with slaw and chicken yakisoba noodle bowl. Food came out quickly our green beans portion was maybe 1 cup @$6 in my opinion is ridiculously priced. Chicken Osaka has so much water in it I had to drain into a cup. Chicken Yakisoba bowl was good just a very small portion for the price. We wanted to give these guys another try used to come here regularly. Definitely gone down hill from 3 years ago and we will not be going back. Service was ridiculously slow. Two servers were wearing gloves but touching everything including the bowls. One gal kept adjusting her hair into a bun that kept falling out. Then would grab utensils, lids and bowls. There were two couples and a single person waiting for their food. It took over 45 minutes to get my meal. Two pork noodle bowls and a kids chicken noodle bowl. The vegetables were soggy and mushy and the pork was so over cooked. Took it Togo. We live an hour north from this restaurant. We were so disappointed in the whole experience. People kept coming in to pick up their orders and had to wait. The pinnacle of the evening was listening to a teenaged male (wearing gloves, handling money & food) answering the phone "Hi Noodle express there is a 45 minute wait do you still want to order?" The saddest part of this experience is that I was the AGM at this store for many years. I was so sad to see that it has gone so far downhill. I'll never come back. It literally turned my stomach when I started examining the pieces of meat I was about to eat. Employee at the window seemed dazed and confused about our call in order, also acted like she didn't care. Our friends always rave about this place and we felt it was a good time to try out their food. We ordered 2 family meals (one beef and one shrimp) with extra meat because after reading the reviews, we didn't want to have too much rice/noodles leftover. They really piled on the meats so you have no complaints from me about skimpy portions! The shrimp with rice was fantastic!! Plenty of shrimp for every plate of rice!! The beef with noodles was good. The meat had flavor but was a little on the tough side and the noodles were good. Now everyone always talks about the coleslaw and if eaten alone, well.. I thought it was too tart, but when added to the main dishes, it actually helped compliment them. I think it was pretty perfect with both dishes. I wasn't crazy about the ginger sauce but everyone seemed to like it. Overall, the meals were above average when you compare it to other Asian type eateries, they definitely charge you for a premium price for just a tad bit better cuisine. So really for me this was a 3.5 star review because price was a huge determining factor. Clean environment with plenty of parking and a friendly staff makes this place worth a second try. I ordered $61 worth of food from the airway Heights noodle express. The gal was very very nice. I ordered two shrimp bowls, one shrimp Osaka and 18 potstickers. The sad part was when I brought it home.. The shrimp was truly salad shrimp. I spent $10 per bowl for a pile of noodles and a pile of rice with two pieces of vegetables! I've been a loyal Mustardseed customer for years. This is pathetic and I hope I can get a refund because I'm calling the manager of mustard seed tomorrow at Northtown Mall. It seems like every time I go to this location something is wrong. This time they didn't give a fork or the correct change. I specifically gave them one penny to get quarters back but they couldn't figure that out. Nor did they listen to me as I was trying to speak with them about this. The "slaw" is just vinegar drenched cabbage and cucumbers, the chicken is rubbery and of poor quality- the Osaka chicken and orange/dynamite chicken went straight in the trash. Had the tofu cooked well done. Ordered two 4 piece potstickers and a drink. Cashier rang it up as a meal. Got home with the food and saw that the bowls were 90% slaw and very soggy rice. Everything tasted like the slaw despite adding extra teriyaki sauce and soy sauce on it. Only received one order of the pot stickers because the cashier only rang up one. Didn't bother to call them and complain since we didn't get a receipt just the ticket for the order. We ended up not eating the food and went out to taco bell instead. read more

This restaurant has awesome customer service, and based off of the reviews that seems like a super common thing. Food was decent, nothing to rave about. Inexpensive, fast, in and out. I came here for the first time since my last review - I was hungry, it was close. I figured I'd try something other than the rice bowls since I remembered they weren't that great. I ordered a pork soup and ice water, & my husband took charge of the buzzer and filled my cup while I chose a table (the same one we sat in last time, actually). The buzzer went off as soon as my husband brought the water back to the table, very quick. Now I didn't see this part 'cause I was facing away, but the whole restaurant heard my husband's scream of pain. He came back to the booth with his arm just covered in scalding soup. Apparently he bumped the collection area for the buzzers. He went to grab some napkins & eventually got all the hot broth and onions out of his arm hair. About 5 minutes later, someone finally came by and offered him the usage of the store's first aid kit. Sorry, too little too late. The soup was tasty, but my husband now has a blister from the burn he received. If I ever come back (not likely) I'll take it to go so I can eat in the safety of my own home. read more

I have lived in Spokane for 1 year now and have seen the commercial for this Noodle Express that looked good from the commercial so I decided to finally visit this establishment. From the very beginning with the order the front counter lady was rude. My order came to $24.62, I handed her a $100 bill and she handed me the change not counting it back to me as $40 of it was all in $5 bills. I had to count it back to myself. We were given a number for our order as we were originally going to get it to go, the same counter lady who gave me the change tried to give my order to a different customer. I said that is my order so I could get our food. We ordered the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and noodle bowl. The chicken was very dry and I smothered it in the teriyaki sauce and it still was dry. So from the beginning to the end it was the worst experience I have ever had at an establishment. I will never go back and will warn people not to go there. read more

We were at the window on time and were informed that online orders aren't Informed when their behind and it would be a 20 to 30 min wait for our food. I was not happy and wanted a refund, but was told since I had prepaid I would have to call corporate to get a refund. We decided to just wait it out and were told to park right out front and they would bring it out to us. We parked by the front windows and waited, and waited. Watched the girl from the window take her break and scroll thru her phone, watched another worker stroll out to your patio to smoke, and waited some more. Finally at 30 min I pulled around to your window to see if it was ready since no one came out with our food...there was another employee by the window smoking too. I get to the window and ask if our foods ready yet as it's been 30 min...there it was sitting next to the window...she said, "oh I was just getting ready to bring it out to you." Yeah, maybe she was, but for some reason I doubt it. She handed us the food and proceeded to close the window, when I said hey we also had drinks...she had no idea...did she even look at our order??? She finally got us our drinks and we finally got the hell out of there. The food was ok. My noodles were dry and clumped together, but it tasted ok. Will I go there again...Hell no!!!! I have been craving a chicken osaka bowl since leaving Spokane 16 months ago. Well, it was pretty much how I remembered it. Wonderful brown rice, plenty of Asian slaw veggies, heavy on the chicken portion, and THAT sauce, oh that sauce! I wish the Mustard Seed/Noodle Express folks would bottle that sauce. I would have it shipped to Phoenix regularly. I wanted to go back for another visit to Noodle Express, but there just wasn't enough time to squeeze it in. I am from Missoula where this restaurant is from and the one here in Spokane doesn't even compare to the one there. First, they are skimpy on the meat. I have to order a double order of meat to get the same amount as I would back home. Then, the rice and noodles are also a smaller portion. The prices are outrageous for what it is, too. WE use to go to the noodle express on N Division at least monthly before Covid. WE decided to go in today 12/9/22 and quite frankly was shocked by the run-down appearance and it was dirty. Should have left at that point. But we remembered how good the food had been so still ordered. There was one other person in the restaurant so we were surprised we had to wait over 25 minutes to receive our food. When we went up to ask if there was a problem with our order the cook said, "I will buzz you when it is ready." we waited another 7 minutes. Totally bad. The pork spring rolls did not taste fresh and when we opened one of them it was slimy and smelled. We ordered an asian salad and it was not fresh. In fact the cucumbers on top had been frozen. We brought this to the attention of the cook (tongue in cheek) and he argued with us and said there was nothing wrong with the food, he had just eaten the same thing we ordered and it was fine, We told him it smelled bad and he said no, I just ate it and it was fine. When we showed him the cucumbers that were frozen he said no they were not frozen. Needless to say we will not be going back there and only hope our next stop to the Mustard Seed will make up for this terrible meal. read more

Noodle express is one of my favorite places to eat. Especially their chicken Osaka. They changed the type of chicken they serve in Spokane a few years ago and raised the prices. I think he noodle express in Missoula uses the older style of chicken still. Haven't been there in a while. Still is very tasty. read more

We live in Seattle, but come here atleast twice each visit. Each time it is consistantly good, and well priced for the portion that is recieved. Like so many people, I always order the Chicken Osaka with that tangy lemon sauce. Tonight I tried the Singapore Chicken recommended by the cashier. WOW-it's like Osaka on steroids!
