The person who took my order over the phone put in an order for fried fish pieces. I don't know how she equate braised fish with Thai sauce with fried fish. Then I tried to order through Door Dash twice for that same dish because I like the sauce that it comes with but they canceled the order both times. If you didn't accept online order then why post on Door Dash. I would suggest you take your business elsewhere. I will never give this restaurant another chance. I bought Pork Beijing at Asiana yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The Pork was tender with amazing sauce. Flavors were well-balanced, making it a good choice. I am giving two stars for the experience. I am giving three stars for the food. So overall 2.5 stars. We ordered American broccoli (pic not attached), sugar peas sprouts and tofu chow mein. After 10 mins, they brought up Chinese broccoli and when I mentioned I wanted American, the guy denied saying I ordered Chinese. After 2 mins arguing the guy took back it reluctantly! Very strange first experience. The food overall average, chow mein is very dry and tofu tastes frozen and thawed on the wok. The noodles are burnt in pieces. The broccoli and sprouts tastes average. This will unfortunately be my very last visit with Asian Garden. It has always been a love/hate relationship with this restaurant and as sad as it is to say, the quality and taste has only continued to go downhill- this started even PRIOR to Covid and has snowballed. The lack of patrons is a clear indication that my not so fond visit is not an isolated incident. Food was mediocre. Noodles were super bland and the seafood involved was just pitiful- see my pic of the dinky shrimp tail provided. Clams were plump but consisted of a lot of shells and was very salty. Mongolian beef dish left us without any complaints. We ended the meal with the male owner overcharging our tab. When my guy questioned him about it he was very snappy and insisted everything was correct. Luckily for us, the wife [who had been assisting us during the entire meal] stepped in and corrected him about the mistake. No apology provided, no sympathy in his tone, & he had the nerve to get irritated when a receipt was requested. 2 stars and that is me being super nice. Asiana has gone through a few ownerships throughout the years but food has been pretty consistent in my opinion. However, my recent visit, on a Saturday afternoon, to grab lunch with my parents has changed my view of this place.. the cleanliness/sanitation has gotten worse - terrible to say the least especially during Covid-19. We ordered: - beef chow fun: 4/5 - huge portion that I was able to split into 2 meals, had tons of onions and beans sprouts - pork kidney egg noodle soup: 2/5 - liver was over cooked, egg noodles also over cooked to the point it was slightly mushy - won ton noodle soup: 3/5 - the won ton balls were a good consistency but not many pieces The bad.. the workers/servers were not wearing masks at all, even with all their masks required signs throughout the restaurant. I caught one of the servers wiping a tea cup with his hands before giving it to another guest. I don't even want to imagine what happens behinds the scenes in the kitchen.. definitely will not be returning anytime soon! read more

Ordered two dishes here for dinner & our total came out to be $70 for mediocre food!! Wasn't a huge fan of the service either - our waitresss kept pushing us to order drinks/ more food. We just wanted a quick bite so we got the Bo la lot (her recommendation) & Thai chili fish which were both very mediocre. We asked if these dishes came with rice & she said yes. The waitress kept pushing us to order some other noodle dishes or wings after we said we were good with the amount of food we had ordered. There was karaoke going on (they charge $15 if you want to sing & without eating dinner) so we tried to eat & leave as quickly as possible. When it came time to pay, I looked on the itemized receipt and saw that she charged us for the rice (which she said was included) & for our water??? When we sat down she asked us if we wanted beer or anything to drink & we said water. She brought out bottled water - had no idea she'd charge us $2 each. There was also a 3% fee for credit card. This review is for the tea shop which is located inside the restaurant. It's a little confusing because the outside looks like a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. I think it may be the owner's kids or some other family college students running the tea portion. Saw the tea advertised on FB so decided to give it a try since they were offering a buy 3 get 1 free deal and $2.95 for their milk teas too. 75cents extra for the large size. They only take cash or Venmo no credit cards by the way. The young man and young lady who helped us were very friendly and they have loyalty stamp cards. We ordered 6 different drinks, their popcorn chicken and all 6 flavors of their macarons. The popcorn chicken was more like chicken nuggets, but the girl that helped us did recommend the calamari or the dumplings so those are probably better. Skip the popcorn chicken, it wasn't very good. The macarons were only 89 cents each and they were okay. Drinks were on the sweet side so definitely get less sugar in them. We tried the jasmine Milk tea, Strawberry milk tea, strawberry green tea, peach orange green tea, passion peach green tea, and the grapefruit green tea. The jasmine milk tea was good at 50% sweet. The fruit teas were still a little too sweet at 50% sugar but the flavors were good. We didn't get any toppings so the drinks were already sweet without even adding a topping to them. If in the area, may stop by if they have a deal but probably wouldn't go out of my way just to get tea here. The soda ades sound good though. Came here on Saturday for a family dinner. I heard good things about the famous Braised Lobster Egg Noodle. I'm totally disregarding the mediocre comments here because my experience was great. We ordered four orders of the lobster egg noodles, fried rice, Tom Yum hotpot, salt and pepper and shrimp, and fried fish. The lobster egg noodle dish was only $20.99. Noodles were sautéed in a yummy sauce. Lobster was savory and full of flavor. I especially liked the Tom Yum hotpot. Plenty of veggies and other yummy toppings that came with. Soup was yummy with the fresh Chinese cabbage. I really liked that they had chili oil! It's not a Chinese restaurant without chili oil! I made my own sauce by mixing the soy sauce, vinegar, and fresh jalapeños that were available. Everything was worth the money. Service was excellent. Everyone from the server to the owner were courteous and super accommodating. They took care of us like family, frequently checking up on us and changing plates. We had our company Easter brunch there and everyone enjoyed the food. It was fresh and delicious. All the dishes were excellent. Service was great and the varied dishes came out with good timing. The staff was very nice and quick to honor any request. The fact that their was a stage area set up for us to do karaoke was a nice touch and all of us had a really great time. Sorry if our singing bothered other customers in the restaurant but they did not complain. I recommend this restaurant for it's great food and ambience. I'm hesitant to write such a good review because I like being able to go here without being harassed by loud, obnoxious groups of people seeking attention, or children who's parents can't control them at busy lunch or dinner hours. But I can't help that their food is consistently delicious and the service is thoughtful, and intuitive. The older waiter is an absolute gem, I want him to be my grandpa. The food arrives quickly, with fresh ingredients, and I have yet to have a dish sub par. There is plenty of room in the restaurant and tons of parking. The best part is how reasonable the prices are for what you get. I could come here for a large bowl of their shrimp dumpling, egg noodle soup which is perfection with the chili oil they have amongst all the condiments on the table. But the foodie in me makes me inclined to try something new every time and I am rarely disappointed. Try one of the waiters recommendations, or find your comfort food. Love going with family to places like this. Good Chinese restaurants are hard to find. My grandmother has got great taste and brings our family here all the time. Lazy Susan and family style type place. Delicious and hot dishes for everyone. There's even a Pho menu for those Vietnamese cravings. We were a family of 9 and ordered about 9 dishes to share. Loved the fried fish and calamari. Fast quick and attentive place. Very home like feeling. Staff was friendly and even setup a large table in advance for us. Our family comes here at least 3x a month and they treat us very well. Highly recommend the Hong Kong style crispy noodles with seafood and the special house fried rice. They have a special menu where you order 3 dishes for $25.99 before taxes. Food: My boyfriend and I order the eggplant with pork, chicken with black bean sauce and fried fish with corn. The food came out fast! It was piping hot and was actually pretty yummy. We also order a side of dry styled beef rice noodle. It tasted better than the one at Venus cafe! Oooh they also give you free soup for an appetizer (they gave us veggies and pork soup - surprisingly good)! Service: They greet us went we walked in. Gave us the choice of ice water or hot tea. If I had to give this restaurant a fair rating, it would be about 2.8 stars; therefore, it would round up to a 3-star rating. They used to have a pretty nice dinner special on their menu where you can order 3 dishes for $15.99, from 5pm-9:30pm; although they've changed it recently to take-out only. As for the food, they're just average. Maybe even a little below average. Their prices and portions are fair, and it's an okay place to dine at. The problem is that there are so many other excellent places in the nearby area that you can go to for some better quality Chinese food. For the prices that you pay for, it's an okay restaurant to go to with a larger group. They're never crowded, so you can always rely on coming here for a quick meal. read more

Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. I ordered 5 cups of Nuoc Mia (sugar cane juice) and the representative that helped me prepared the juice is not sanitary. The gentlemen was prepping the first cup, kneels down and shifted the carpet then grab another sugar cane stick to feed into the machine. Whilst on the third cup, he bends down again to adjust the carpet... and once it's all said and done (he had not wash his hands once) he goes and grab the ice scooper to grab ice for the cups. He then sets the cup lids on the cups and removed the black straws from their plastic protective wraps, inserted them into the cup and used his unwashed palm to push the straw down. This is NOT sanitary. I paid for the five cups and threw away the cups outside. I will never come back to this restaurant again. Incident happened on 06/27/21 at 340PM. Last week my friend from OC came to visit and he wanted Chinese chicken and broccoli in white sauce, well, we took him here and he loved it. It's one of the best Chinese Restaurants in SJ. Yesterday, it was cold, we decided to visit Asiana Garden for mi Triu Châu và du cháo quy. The place was quite full due to having good food I imagined. Anyhow, we've been coming here since the kids were little, but since we moved to Fremont, it's a little far for us to come often. All the servers have been here since then, quite attentive and give great services. The food here is amazing, the price is right and the portions are not skimpy like many VN restaurants. We loved the noodles here, even at dinner. It's kinda weird ordering noodles while others eating dinner dishes... Oh well, it's America, we could order anything anytime anywhere LOL. The place looks a bit cheesy due to the "Sing with One-Man-Band" feature, which added to the noisy atmosphere. Food was pricey, probably due to the 'live music', and didn't really taste that great. I haven't been to this place since covid hit, so it's been a while. I made 2 orders of cube steak with tomato fried rice over the phone. I instantly didn't recognize the voice that answered so I asked if they still made it before I confirmed the order, which they said they did. My brother decided to grab it for me since he was already out. When he came back, he told me they had a credit charge limit of $30. I was shocked because it used to be $10. He told me that they told him that he can buy 2 cokes to meet the credit charge so he did it to get out of there. Honestly, I think that's a scam. I've never ever heard of a credit charge limit of $30. My 2 orders should have costed me about $22 with tax because I frequently purchased this before covid... my brother's receipt said $27. To top off how mad I was about all that, the rice was only steamed rice and basically gave me less amount of cube steaks I would usually get. Such a rip off. I'm very disappointed. Reading the recent reviews of the restaurant being owned by someone else makes total sense to me now. This place has an interesting concept. They have a dine-in special in the evenings were you can select 3 items from a specific list for $25 or something. The menu is a little tricky though because the pictures that are next to the list of items are not included in the 3 item special. So you have to make sure you are reading the list carefully! lol It took my friend and I forever to decide what to get because everything we wanted was not included in the 3 item special, but we felt like we had to order something for there, since we went for the "special." We ended up doing the 3 item special but also ordering other stuff. Our bill came up to about $35 before tip, so it was still a deal. As for the food, it was typical Chinese food.
