    Pork Beijing
    Tran M.

I bought Pork Beijing at Asiana yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The Pork was tender with amazing sauce. Flavors were well-balanced, making it a good choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I used to order several dishes togo and acknowledged that they alway have karaoke from 6:30pm (maybe).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyway, I'd recommend going there or buying togos, worth a try if you're in the area!

I am giving two stars for the experience. I am giving three stars for the food. So overall 2.5 stars. We ordered American broccoli (pic not attached), sugar peas sprouts and tofu chow mein. After 10 mins, they brought up Chinese broccoli and when I mentioned I wanted American, the guy denied saying I ordered Chinese. After 2 mins arguing the guy took back it reluctantly! Very strange first experience. The food overall average, chow mein is very dry and tofu tastes frozen and thawed on the wok. The noodles are burnt in pieces. The broccoli and sprouts tastes average. Nothing is there to go back. The ambience itself is sketchy and sad looking with empty aquarium in front and dull (and possibly few dead) crab and lobster tanks in the back.

We were looking for a Chinese/ Vietnamese restaurant close to great mall and we decided to try Asiana Restaurant. Tiffany was very attentive and very helpful recommending the best dishes they have on the menu. All the food we ordered was delicious. We would come back and try their Vietnamese over rice dishes next time.[[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have live band in the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great food and great service.

This will unfortunately be my very last visit with Asian Garden. It has always been a love/hate relationship with this restaurant and as sad as it is to say, the quality and taste has only continued to go downhill- this started even PRIOR to Covid and has snowballed. The lack of patrons is a clear indication that my not so fond visit is not an isolated incident. Food was mediocre. Noodles were super bland and the seafood involved was just pitiful- see my pic of the dinky shrimp tail provided. Clams were plump but consisted of a lot of shells and was very salty. Mongolian beef dish left us without any complaints. We ended the meal with the male owner overcharging our tab. When my guy questioned him about it he was very snappy and insisted everything was correct. Luckily for us, the wife [who had been assisting us during the entire meal] stepped in and corrected him about the mistake. No apology provided, no sympathy in his tone, & he had the nerve to get irritated when a receipt was requested. 2 stars and that is me being super nice. I won't be coming back here and that shouldn't surprise management because the restaurant is always bare anyhow.

Beef chow fun, pork kidney egg noodle soup, won ton noodle soup

I don't enjoy rating restaurants low but hear me out.. I have been coming here for at least a decade. Asiana has gone through a few ownerships throughout the years but food has been pretty consistent in my opinion. However, my recent visit, on a Saturday afternoon, to grab lunch with my parents has changed my view of this place.. the cleanliness/sanitation has gotten worse - terrible to say the least especially during Covid-19. We ordered: - beef chow fun: 4/5 - huge portion that I was able to split into 2 meals, had tons of onions and beans sprouts - pork kidney egg noodle soup: 2/5 - liver was over cooked, egg noodles also over cooked to the point it was slightly mushy - won ton noodle soup: 3/5 - the won ton balls were a good consistency but not many pieces The bad.. the workers/servers were not wearing masks at all, even with all their masks required signs throughout the restaurant. I caught one of the servers wiping a tea cup with his hands before giving it to another guest. I don't even want to imagine what happens behinds the scenes in the kitchen.. definitely will not be returning anytime soon!

we meet all my friend on friday (9/12/25)night at asiana restaurant to eat and karaoke.when we order 4 kind the foods and regular drink water. all food like shits and they charge over. because we never drink wine.but they charge $30 and $30 come in music.and cost me $16 for water.but we drink only 4 cups.why they over 8 cups. They specialize in cheating money on bills, be careful. and i never be come back

Strawberry milk tea, jasmine milk tea, grapefruit green tea

This review is for the tea shop which is located inside the restaurant. It's a little confusing because the outside looks like a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. I think it may be the owner's kids or some other family college students running the tea portion. Saw the tea advertised on FB so decided to give it a try since they were offering a buy 3 get 1 free deal and $2.95 for their milk teas too. 75cents extra for the large size. They only take cash or Venmo no credit cards by the way. The young man and young lady who helped us were very friendly and they have loyalty stamp cards. We ordered 6 different drinks, their popcorn chicken and all 6 flavors of their macarons. The popcorn chicken was more like chicken nuggets, but the girl that helped us did recommend the calamari or the dumplings so those are probably better. Skip the popcorn chicken, it wasn't very good. The macarons were only 89 cents each and they were okay. Drinks were on the sweet side so definitely get less sugar in them. We tried the jasmine Milk tea, Strawberry milk tea, strawberry green tea, peach orange green tea, passion peach green tea, and the grapefruit green tea. The jasmine milk tea was good at 50% sweet. The fruit teas were still a little too sweet at 50% sugar but the flavors were good. We didn't get any toppings so the drinks were already sweet without even adding a topping to them. If in the area, may stop by if they have a deal but probably wouldn't go out of my way just to get tea here. The soda ades sound good though. On a side note, would be interested to try the 3 for $25 Chinese food from the same spot.

Came here on Saturday for a family dinner. I heard good things about the famous Braised Lobster Egg Noodle. I'm totally disregarding the mediocre comments here because my experience was great. We ordered four orders of the lobster egg noodles, fried rice, Tom Yum hotpot, salt and pepper and shrimp, and fried fish. The lobster egg noodle dish was only $20.99. Noodles were sautéed in a yummy sauce. Lobster was savory and full of flavor. I especially liked the Tom Yum hotpot. Plenty of veggies and other yummy toppings that came with. Soup was yummy with the fresh Chinese cabbage. I really liked that they had chili oil! It's not a Chinese restaurant without chili oil! I made my own sauce by mixing the soy sauce, vinegar, and fresh jalapeños that were available. Everything was worth the money. Service was excellent. Everyone from the server to the owner were courteous and super accommodating. They took care of us like family, frequently checking up on us and changing plates. If I'm in SJ, I will be back!

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

The one without ice still came cold and was about $2.50 more in price. Both tasted similar and the one with ice wasn't diluted at all. Both were refreshing and we loved the flavor. It was very authentic and refreshing. Chicken noodle soup was amazing! I don't know about the 8 hour boiled chicken since it tasted like chicken breast broth and not bone broth but it was super delicious. The noodles were slimy and it was very comforting. No chili oil was provided on the table. The server spilled some broth on our table while carrying a hot bowl of soup. I recommend asking the servers to use a serving plate to bring over food to the customer's table. Spicy chicken with honey and potatoes- We've tried this dish at many different restaurants, mostly without potato chips and we didn't like it here. Some pieces of chicken were bland and others absorbed most flavors. The honey did not help the dish at all. There was no balance of flavors. I did not like the addition of packaged wavy potato chips into the dish. Dai style seafood- This dish was very disappointing. It was served cold which was the highlight of the dish but nothing tasted fresh. This dish took the most time to come out. The dressing tasted well made, it was sweet and savory but the seafood hadn't absorbed the dressing. There were mussels, clams, squid and calamari in it and the balance of flavors was out of proportion. Laksa shrimp fried rice- Good wok hey, chewy mushroom bits and little pineapple bits but shrimp was very hard to find. The addition of egg was nice. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce- Nicely fried very tiny pieces of chicken with 1 tsp of tangy sauce. Good dish. Nothing extraordinary. I would come back for the chicken noodle soup on a cold night!

Both were really good but my favorite was still the shrimp. I loved the veggies in the roll too. They can be a bit hard to pick up and eat because they're massive and cut into thirds. Other than that, the rice noodles are thin and silky and hold the sauce nicely. The sauce is also delicious. We also ordered the fish congee which was simple but comforting. So I tried to talk to him to see if there's any other options, like Zelle or Venmo, or maybe I can go to a nearby ATM and get some cash. He ignored me and did not respond, and left. I walked around, was finally able to get a waitress who was willing to talk to me. I explained that I didn't know they only took cash and I wonder if I can pay through other ways. She pointed at the wall and told me "it says on the wall", sounding like blaming me for not getting cash ready. Yes, maybe I should have read all the signs on the wall, but I really don't enjoy being blamed when I did nothing wrong. Assuming credit cards as one of the payment methods is not my fault, just how the society works. Anyway, I was able to pay them via Venmo, but I did not enjoy the experience at all.
